good morning.
Hi Vrinda:
It usually rains a bit in the spring and summer, but it has been unusually dry this year. We are in a drought through most of the U.S. So the rain today was wonderful. We had nice, gentle rain through most of the morning and early afternoon.
I don't get up early and I hate cooking breakfast. So I grab something I can make quickly. Today, it was a breakfast sandwich (English muffin, egg, Canadian bacon, cheese ... mostly frozen, a Weigh****chers Smart Ones sandwich). Sometimes I'll make a protein shake -- scoop of vanilla protein, cup of milk, some ice cubes, tbsp. of instant coffee, some sugar-free flavoring (I like caramel and kahlua), mix it up in a blender, and it's the perfect breakfast: coffee and protein together. Sometimes I just have a scoop of peanut butter and a cup of coffee. Depends on how lazy I want to be.
Yes, I work at a newspaper; I'm a copy editor. I used to be a sports writer, but I got tired of chasing around, plus I hurt my right knee several years ago (and it didn't help being 350 pounds). So I moved over to the desk, and I love doing this. Unfortunately, my job is becoming obsolete (or rather, newspapers are). I'm hoping they stick around until I can retire.

Hi Vrinda,
When I was in graduate school, studying Social Work, I did a group project on Buddhism and Indian culture with a girl who was born in India. She and another friend from the group both wore sarees during the presentation. They were beautiful. In one of the schools I taught in, I had several Indian students who performed a beautiful Indian dance on stage during Multicultural Day. They looked lovely in their sarees. I'm not sure I would look good in one, with my belly exposed. But, they are lovely. I am a jeans and T-shirt girl, like Eileen.
Good to hear from you. Glad you are feeling comfortable posting regularly.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.
