Went to put clothes in the washer this morning and my laundry room was flooded. Every rug soaked. Sometimes the AC thingy gets plugged and water backs up, but we just cleaned that out last week. Freezer still running. Fridge still running. Hadn't washed clothes in a couple of days. Opened the back door...lo and behold the glass was up and the screen part of the door was letting water in from the thunderstorms! Luckily we don't have anything actually on the floor back there. The small rugs are in the washer. The big one is drying outside. Hope it stays dry today!
About 6 weeks ago I began taking Pure Green Coffee Beans. Recommended by Dr. Oz to help with weight loss (I sound like my Momma, trying everything she read about). I have steadily GAINED weight since I started them. I finally figured out that is the only thing I have done differently in the past few weeks. I have been eating much healthier and walking more and the weight kept going up. Sooooo, no more of those!
My DH gets his toe nails clipped this morning. Thank Heaven for Medicare!! Then a trip to the fabric store and lunch at Logan's. The housekeeppers won't have to work around us today! Our son and grandson will have to eat lunch at home. Although, we have come home before and found one or both of them asleep in their favorite chairs!! They say there are no dogs or ringing phones here to interrupt their naps.
Better hit the road. I have to call the doc to verify the time for my DH's appointment. He has one time written down, I have another!

Just a quick fly by this morning. I finally had time to sit and read all the posts from the past few days last night, but was just too tired to post. I feel badly for not welcoming our new people properly. It meant so much to me when I first joined this forum to have you all write me little notes of encouragement. Maybe my schedule will return to "normal" next week. Ha!
For all our new sistas, welcome to OFF! You are making the best decision of your life. I wouldn't change a thing about my decision to have RNY. It's a little scary pre-op, but it's worth it in the end. Just hang tough and come here daily for encouragement.
We are still here at the house in Nac, but hoping to go back to Hilltop either tomorrow or Saturday. I cannot begin to tell you all what a challenge it has been to clean up my stove top and vent-a-hood after the CAT-astrophe, but we have finally gotten the smell out of the house and today we start to put things back together. We might, maybe, just possibly get by without having to order a new unit. Cross your fingers for us.
Butch has his last doctor's appointment today. This is his quarterly check up on his PSA levels for his prostate cancer. We already got the results of his bloodwork and we know his PSA is up just a little, but not alarmingly so. Thank you, Jesus! He continues to hold the big C at bay for now.
Met with our realtor yesterday. The market is terribly slow right now. He assures us that it is not just our house that is sitting idle this summer. We decided to drop the listing price a bit to see if that would stir any interest. Hubby is not happy about it, but it is what it is. We have to sell this place now, not 5 years from now. It's just our poor luck that it is a buyer's market, not a seller's market right now. It doesn't help that it's an election year either. I think people are just waiting to see what happens in November before making any big moves.
Today I must deal with some financial stuff, and then I have to start to clean this house again. Living here this week with a toddler who has dribbled and spilt and touched every single surface with sticky fingers has made a mess of my clean house! LOL! What else is new?

I have to meet my best friend at 11. She sees a new work comp doctor and she wants me to go with her. Then I have another appointment after that. I am going to a "Tastefully Simple" party this evening. Want to fit tanning in there somewhere!!

So glad your flood was only due to the weather, which can be corrected cheaply. Once, my son le the kitchen sink run, and it overflowed and flooded the kitchen and the parquet floor in the living room. It was a nightmare. Praise God for our homeowners policy.
Today, I am just chilling at home. I've been taking Benadryl for constant itching around my stitches on my arms. Not pretty. Makes me drowsy, and unmotivated to do anything around the apartment, much less going out.
Must scoot.

YEAH I SAID GOOD AFTERNOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We GOT our raises!!!!!!!!!!!! YUPPERS!!! $1900.00 EACH!!!!!!!!! Then we will get another one come December!!!!!!! Can we say WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO????????? OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-) Now we wait for our checks to arrive!!!!! Rick is already drooling over his chrome step bars and tires for his truck...LOL me...I want a vacation!!!!!!!!!! Boss lady said to make sure we tell Randy about our nice raises....lmao I am sure it will be brought up soon enough!!! He will be green with envy!!! Told her how he was shaking in his boots yesterday after she left thinking he was going to be fired...she said she isn't the one that will do the firing...I am the one that will be doing it or Rick...he is worried about the wrong person!!! And she loves the way that Rick is making him squirm!! :-)

Thanks Connie!!! Yes is sure was worth waiting for!! Still waiting for the checks to get here....lol AND I did better than telling Randy about our huge raise...I left the paper I wrote it on laying right on my desk!!! We went away to Menards and I KNOW he was in my office and HAD to have seen it!!!!!!!!!! LOL Hope he enjoyed seeing that huge raise!!!!!!! LMAOOOOOOOOOO Got back home from Menards and caught him texting on his phone...stood there watching him for about a good 15-20 minutes....I then called his phone and asked him if he was getting paid to play on his phone or work. He stammered and said he would shut it off...I said good idea and hung up. SOOOOOOOOOO close Randy so close.....how stupid can he be to KNOW he is being watched in screwing up??????? IDIOT!!!!!!!

Its so frustrating not having Internet at home! but its coming soon. Its been a few days since Ive been able to post but have mostly kept up reading. I cheat. out side I can sometimes pick up a few lines of someones wireless it gives me enough to read some but not to post somehow.
I did get to meet Carla Sat for breakfast. Steve and I enjoyed meeting her and her sister. Nice ladies.
Car problems fixed now the the dead car surprisingly brought us $300! Nice surprise.
we are using that for a badly needed tuneup and brake work.
prayers going up for all friends facing difficulties in life. I don't know them all but He does.
