Good morning Judy and everyone....

Judy....nice to see you start the thread. Keep cool we just had a heat wave here. 4th of July the heat index was 118 degrees!! I wish I could eat pasta....I love cold tuna noodle salad!! Loved all the email jokes you sent...ROFL!!

As for me not much going on. Been trying to stay in as much as I can. The heat is just too much for me. Not sure what I will be doing today if anything.

Wishing everyone a beautiful day. Keep cool and drink plenty of water!!

Prayers for those in need.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Hi Connie and Judy and OFF family to post later.

This heat wave is something isn't it? Not much we can do but just sit it out.
Yesterday went grocery shopping than later when Birthday shopping for 2 of the grand kids who is having a joint BDay party on the 14th. Hopefully it will be much cooler out by then.

I'm doing a double shift today so I'm in air and getting a lot of things done at my work station.
Tomorrow getting up early and singing at another church with hubby for Special Music. I like going to other churches and meeting people.

Gotta get back to work now, hugs to everyone! Debbie

Greetings Judy and OFF Family,
It's extremely hot here, and I am trying to stay indoors as much as possible, because my asthma can't handle it.  I try not to complain about the heat that much, because it is more manageable, and less damaging to my body than the cold air of winter.  My joints can't handle the cold weather, and I am deathly terrified of falling on ice.  The sad thing is when I fell in December, and did all that damage to my body, it was sunny and there was no ice or snow on the ground.  Imagine what I am like on ice.  The other reason I prefer the heat is that I don't have to shovel my car out and fear not having a parking space on my block.  One winter, there was so much snow, my block lost two or more parking spots to snow piled up from people shoveling their cars and walkways.

Anywho, I am working on things around my apartment today.  In about an hour, I will head over to the AA meeting at the clubhouse around here.

I hope everyone stays safe and well hydrated.

Love to all,
Trish

Trish, found this recipe in a newsletter I got. It's for slow-cooker yogurt. Thought you might be interested.

Hi Judy and my OFF family:

Yes, still hot here, 102 degrees. Supposed to cool down to 98 on Sunday.

Back to work again today ... not much else happening here. Trish, I can't stand the cold and snow either with my joints and I am a klutz, too. But the heat is really hard on my body, too.

Well, have a good day.

It's hot out today but nothing like the 105 degrees yesterday. It finally rained last night and came down to 64. I am not a heat fan but summer doesn't last long in Minnesota.
It's good to see everybody! Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Hi everyone! I woke up very early from a wild thunderstorm and suddenly LilyRose AND Oreo were on the bed carrying on! That settled down as did the cats then I fell asleep again, only to wake up, smothering in my C-Pap mask…lol…..and hearing more thunder! …yes, the power went out but not for too long.   It’s been a busy here at home kinda day but I took care of alot of small issues. The heat and humidity has been rough here too and really affects my legs. All I can do is to use my fluid pills and drink alot of water but that is a GOOD thing *s*.  I caught up on mail, newspaper reading, phone calls and some small tasks. For supper , I’m making cold chicken salad (chopped fine with onion, celery, mayo and spices on baby greens with dried cranberries, nuts & seeds and pineapple tidbits and a peaches & yogurt smoothie for us both. JB prefers very PLAIN meals. But this is light and nutritious and easy to digest. Or he can have a PB&J if he doesn’t want this…pffft!  LOL.  I am feeling better everyday though still often stricken with bone pain and sudden fatigue. However, given that I’ve stopped working, I have the time to lay down when I need to and so life is pretty good in the end. *s* I am so very grateful to be here!  JB had to fix my brake lines today...my brakes had suddenly gotten very spongy –seems that my Buick had developed a brake leak...thank goodness that my men are all mechanically-skilled so no trips to be ripped off at the car services!  Time to make tea and old cheddar on olive oil & rosemary bagette crisps for our  snack…. after I prepare the chicken salad and set that to chill.  Perhaps I will stuff that salad into a tomato…yum!  Stay hydrated and be safe! Nancy B
