Another Hot Thursday in MIchigan!
My van has had a bad transmission for 3 months and had been off the road but Steve had a dependable car so we have just been using one car since he works third. It has worked out fine till the turkey burned out the engine on that car Tuesday! So now the van is in the shop getting fix. IT seems hubby doesn't car tor my idea of a peddle bike or the yard tractor for the 40 mile drive to work!!! Strange man!!

One of my best friends, Jerry had a stroke last week. He was at the Mall of America. He bent over to tie his shoe and had a stroke. He is still in Minneapolis at a hospital there. They are working on getting his blood thinned. He has a 95% blockage. He hopes to be home in a few days. His surgery is scheduled for the 18th. He has a lot of trouble with his speech but otherwise is coming around pretty good. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
The temps were too hot for me to be outside to enjoy the 4th.
I did meet up with some friends and went outside long enough to see the firework go off....about 15 minutes. That was more then enough for me!!
Nothing much planned for today. I still haven't cleaned this week. He heat is just too much for me even with the A/C on!!

Afternoon OFF family!!!
Had a heck of a storm come through here about 630 am...WOW!!!! Thank GOD nothing bad happened!!! Lost power for a few seconds...had me worried over that one!! Sun is trying to come out now and its starting to feel like a sauna out there!!! YUCK!!!!!!!! Under a watch til 1pm far as I know right now.
Nothing for the guys to do so we sent precious Randy home...LOL. Ofcourse he THINKS he should get paid because he came in...hahahahhaaa yeah right!!! Had a tenant come in and pay his rent and sat down to talk to me. Said he needed to get it off his chest...Randy has been telling people HE does ALL the work around here while WE sit on our asses doing NOTHING! I thanked him for the info and to let me know if he hears anything else. He said he would. Noose is getting tighter....
I get my hair cut this afternoon at 215. Hope I like this woman that has been highly recommended to me. I see she was voted best of the best so hope I like her.
Got 8 letters faxed to me from the office just before lunch for recerts. OMG!! Two of them I never got yet and they are already 30 days late getting started!!!! ****!!!!!!!!! So I am calling the office when I get back over there to give Holly a piece of my mind! Gezz. I am not a mind reader on who is next for their recert!!! I need a vacation!!! Wish I had money to take one!!! But then who would be left in charge here that we could trust??????? Sighs.........
Well best get back to work...seems I am the only one now that has tons to do!!! :-/

Jo, it's good to see you posting. I think of you often, as I think of my grandchildren daily. I talked to my daughter again about the possibility of me moving to Michigan. If, and I do mean if, that were to come to pass, it could be another year or more, before it would become a reality.
Well, I set my alarm clock for 8:15, but forgot to make sure it said AM, so I overslept till 9:00 this morning. I wanted to make the morning AA meeting, as I have a lot to do today, and wanted that to be first. Well, I will have to rearrange my plans. Argh!
I need to get to RiteAid for some large bandaids to put over my steri-strips. Then, I have a post-op appointment for my sinus surgery. After that, I will head to Hair Cuttery to get my haircut. I need to do something different with it. It's bothering me.

105 degrees here. I've been battling a headache all day. Woke up with one at 9 a.m., took something and went back to sleep. Woke up again at 11:30 a.m. and still felt bad. It comes and goes. I had to do laundry so I've been in and out all day ... not a fun day.
Plus, Juliette has been in hiding all day. She didn't pee or poop yesterday, but at least there was something in the box this morning. She is still hiding under the sink. I am so worried about her ... does she have a UTI or what? We go to the vet tomorrow morning.
Well, at least my White Sox are doing well ... they swept the Rangers. Big extra-inning win last night and a close 2-1 win today. Got to watch both of them ... last night on the computer, today on the TV.
Not much else happening. No work today, which is good.
We made it to Chicago in record time! Carl and I drove straight through.
It is 103 here and the humidity us the same!We are going to be here about ten days.
Tomorriw I am going to Michigan to Benton Harbor to a funeral for a childhood friend that passed away on Monday.
We just got back from getting the oil changed in my car at the honda dealer.
I think during the six weeks I've been gone ive spent over 600.00 on the car in repairs and it is a relatively a new car!

Ugh...it is hot here in Michigan, suppose to get to 106 tomorrow and that is my day off. I'll be sitting in my chair reading in my air condition house! Too hot to even go to the beach.
Lots of people getting heat stroke around here.
Connie...I had one of my nurse's have a stroke and he is young! He takes good care of himself, eats "whole foods" doesn't eat junk and exercises, I call him Father Earth since he has a long ponytail and looks like Jesus! He is doing well now and will be off work for a week. Speech is much better and the numbness in his left side is going away. Right now he's just weak and he doesn't like that either.
Early this AM thought I had another bowel obstruction but it finally came unkinked and all is well but my tummy is sore and I'm not pushing myself today. Thank goodness I know my body and what it does. Tonight I'm going to get back to drinking my prune juice mixed with applesauce and maybe even take a stool softener which I hate to do but now I think I have to listen to my body. Ugh!
