So glad you found us!! We always love to have new people on this board!

I had my surgery almost 5 years ago. I too wish I would have had it many years ago. I feel great.

I have 5 grandchildren. Three of them are here with me this week...well one just left to drive back to Iowa....guess that leaves me two now!! Never a dull moment. I haven't had time to get back on here all wee****il just now.

Congrats on your upcoming surgery!! I didn't think the 2 week liquid diet was so bad. I pray all goes well for you!

Hi Sue,
Welcome to OFF. I actually had my RNY before I turned 50, but found OFF after my 50th birthday. I am almost six years out, and the key thing I have to share is, in the beginning sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk. And definitely get into some sort of exercise program. I had been swimming for a long time, but slacked off when I changed gyms. Now, I am just getting back up to speed this summer.

I am a Pennsylvania Grandma whose grandchildren live in Michigan. My daughter lives in Perry, outside of Lansing. I've met Jo, from here. She lives in Owosso, and I try to see her when I am in Perry, visiting my daughter. I am trying to plan a trip there at the end of summer. My daughter just had my third grandchild, and I want to see him before he gets too big. My granddaughter is starting Kindergarten in September.

Hello Trish! I am north east of Perry and Owosso by about an hour- in Bay City, right at the bottom of the Saginaw Bay. I have been told sip, walk, rest, repeat! Your advice fits right in there. Thanks for your kind thoughts!
