Good Morning Family,
I had to sleep on my couch last night, because I couldn't get my bedroom cool enough.  Not fun.  Try sharing a regular size sofa with a 25 pound dog.

Today, I have an appointment at a local congrssional candidate's office.  I also have to get over to my sister's to let her dogs go potty, as she won't be home in time.

Finally, I have work to do around my apartment to get ready for my surgery on Monday.

I hope everyone has a blessed day.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning Trish and OFF family...and hey it's morning and I'm posting! LOL

I survived my double shift and am back again. I might have to stay over for a few hours to cover the unit but hey, it's extra cash!

Nothing new going on with me but I have to make this statement. Last night when I got off work at 11pm, I was hungry. Man, I wanted a McDonald's double cheeseburger so bad and I pass it right down the hill where I leave work. I'm happy to say I said to myself that I wasn't starving that much (and yes I was hungry and tired) so I got into the other lane and headed home. Just drank a glass of water and went to bed b/c it was late to bed and early to rise for me!
Now: that's what I call a success...a small one, but it adds up in the end for less calories.

I know you guys get me. I know you understand. Some food choices I win, some I learn! LOL

Hugs and prayers for all in need. Debbie

Debbie....that was great....resisting temptation!!

I went grocery shopping today. I wanted to get M&Ms amd tootsie rolls because I have Grace coming for a week on Sunday. I had them in the cart and walked back and put them away. I WANTED THEM!! Got her some skittles because I don't like those and she does!! Picked up tons of fresh fruit and veggies  and dipping sauces for her. She loves that too!! Felt good to do the right thing!!

Love and hugs....connie d

Way to go Connie...now that's a success and score 1 for you!
Game playing in our minds..."I'll get the candy for the grandchildren" and we end up eating them.

I giggled when you picked out skittles instead, like you I don't dig skittles and can pass them up and not feel deprived. But chocolate? or Reese's? Ain't going there and I know you say "me tooo"!

I love the fresh fruits/veggies, it's great at summertime but dang fruit is expensive due to the wacky weather we had. Fruit's coming in earlier than usual. Our blueberries aren't as tasty this year. I love cherries and treat myself to them even though they are costly. I hide them in my secret compartment in the fridge.

WOW!  I am very impressed.  I know how difficult it is when one, with our demons, wants a particular food.  To be able to say "no" to yourself and and give up  the idea of a double cheeseburger when you had been thinking about it specifically is indeed keeping your eyes on the prize.

I don't go to McDonald's, and I am a vegetarian, so my thoughts aren't about cheeseburgers.  However, when I have my mind on something with chocolate, I find it hard to turn away.  You deserve lots of credit for your strength and, yes, it was a success!

Margaret...don't get me wrong...I love chocolate too.
Now if only I could be a vegeterian, but I'm a meat gal all the way.
My beautiful youngest step daughter lost her weight being a vegeterian and exercising. After her 4th baby she is again going back to being a vegeterian. This time the weight is coming off more slowly but she will get there.

Good mornin' ya'll.

Yesterday evening I discovered something that keeps me from eating for a few hours. I fixed a bowl of granola with blueberries on it put on my Truvia and my Lactose free milk. Sat down with a big sigh. Took a big bite. Ughhhhhh! The milk was sour!! The pull date was July 16th. It's not July yet is it? Brushed my teeth and decided I really didn't need anything to eat.

Two days ago our grandson's car started making a horrendous noise. They think it's the muffler but no time to fix it now! They leave for their cruise tomorrow at 0 dark 30!

This morning our DIL's dryer died. She did NOT renew the warranty this year. Everyone is washing loads of clothes so they can pack for their cruise tomorrow. Sooooo, they are all back and forth drying clothes. I suggested she just bring dirty clothes down and I would wash and dry them. She declined. She is very particular about how her clothes are washed. And today is my day to clean the sheets on our bed. They are expensive so I only have 1 set. So between her trips down I am drying my own stuff.

Naturally they have been saving $ for their cruise. So when they get back they will have 2 major repairs that will cost a lot!

This morning I weeded my flower beds which I hate to do! I also filled my ducks with pea gravel so they won't blow over. I bought 2 of those ducks to put in my yard and dress up. I only do this (and the pink flamingoes and the bright pink pump cover), just to see my DIL roll her eyes at me! Can we say trailer trash?

My back is now telling me I better take a BIG motrin and sit awhile! Sounds like fun to me!

Everyone have a fantabulous day!
