I am gearing up for Carl to come next week. I am sort of missing him....
I went to see my surgeon yesterday. I got a femeral hernia on the left side now. I not sure why I am getting them ..... this one is a centimeter and a half.....Ill know more Monday if Im going to get it fixed before I go home or not.
Colorado is needing rain big time!!!!! The fires here are a killer. there are three of them brewing. makes for breathing very tough on the old lungs!!!!!
Today has me cleaning out my car....or rather rearranging it.......It needs it......

Well I am busy busy busy!!!! Sorry that I haven't been posting like I should....had mom here and then the BBQ saturday and that in itself was a busy time to get ready for and then cleaning up after...it was a good time for all that showed up for it!!! We had 27 if I counted right. Not bad but could have had more...I think it had alot to do with one certain maintenance guy we have running his mouth again about us!!! Waiting for my boss to call me and I am going to let her know we want him gone!!! Since we took my mom home sunday and was gone till late yesterday afternoon he was left in charge here. Did he bother to come lock up at night? NO! Just figured that one of the tenants was going to do it as usual. Well guess what? He wasn't ASKED to do it because they do not get along! Its just been one thing after another here with this guy and I have had enough!!! Since we got back he has YET to talk to us at all to say what happened while we were gone!!! WTH???????? Went to the office to see what I missed while gone and had a tenant come in and ask me to go with her to her neighbors apartment because she thought something wasn't right with her...off I went...she was right...this woman was not right!! I call 911 and they said they saw her earlier in the day at the bank!!! OMG!! So anyhow I called her family and they (ambulance) took her to the hospital and later I found she had had a stroke. She will be in a nursing home and will have speech therapy and then come home again. I hope. All I know so far. Welcome home huh?
Today I get a letter from my tenant that has been having lots of strokes letting me know they will be moving out end of july. He is NOT happy about it at all!! His wife wants her son who is a thief and into drugs move in with them!!! OMG!!! But there is nothing I can do about it!! Sad to see them go. Sighs......
While I was home I went to my ex FIL's funeral. My ex MIL was glad to see me...rest of her family gave me looks to put me 6 foot under!!! I stayed away from them!!! They can all KMA!!!!!!!! They had some pictures of "grandpa" on a board...funny it was only of ONE grand kid not any other ones...I asked Lori how come Jeff, Steve and her were not in any of the pictures? She said Sherri did them up...I said it figures...the Gunthers were never a part of that family anyhow. She agreed. And guess who didn't have a flag on their truck for the funeral procession?????? Yup...MINE!!!!! Go figure huh? I didn't say anything just left it alone...but they should be ashamed of themselves!!!!!!!! GOD will get them in the end I am sure!!! Not blaming Garys kids at all...they stayed by my side. Its the rest of the family that I blame!!!!!!!!!
Lunch is about over and I need to take Bandit for a walk...keep cool and know that I do think about all of you!!! Thoughts and Prayers for all that need them!!!

Carla....I am glad Carl will be joining you soon. Sorry about the new hernia. I sure hope they can figure out why you are getting them.
Judy....I hope that Randy is finally let go....he has done nothing but cause you problems....he have been given way too many chances!! Good Luck!!

I am still laying low. I have to go to Wal-Mart today for my sister. That is all I have planned. It rained and stormed here all night and morning. The sun has finally come out...YAY!!

I had a tooth pulled yesterday. I slept late today. I guess I needed it.
I have some tidying to do today, and then I am laying low. I have some soft foods to eat, and the fixings for a protein shake.

Happy to see there are still a few of us alive and kicking today! I know everyone stays busy, busy in the summertime. I'm one of the worst for not posting this summer. I want to, I plan to, but in the end, I just run out of hours in the day.
So, Benny Bop is feeling a little under the weather the past day or so. He ran a low grade fever all day yesterday, and he's just so fussy today, even though the fever is gone. Bound to happen now that we're taking him out to mix with other kiddos.But I don't get much done when he's so grump-grump. Mostly I just sit and hold him all day.
We didn't go to baby-nastics this morning, but we did decide to make a quick trip to Wal Mart. Big mistake. While we were shopping the bottom fell out! To put it in East Texas venacular, "I ain't never been no wetter swimmin'!" Wow, did I get soaked running to get the car. Plus I had cracked the windows and the sun roof (because of the extreme heat we always crack our car windows here), so the inside of the car got soaked too. Some fun, huh?
Chris is being all grumpy today, too. Sigh. It's just not a very good day around here.
We found out a couple of days ago that my husband is going to be spending next week in London. London! My London that I've been waiting my whole life to go see. Ask me if I am pea green right now. I know he'll be stuck in a dumb ol' school there all week, but I still want to go!
Oh, well, I'll survive, won't I?
My stupid dryer here is trying hard to break down. I suspect I'm going to have to go buy a new one soon. I was hoping to wait until after the house sells to deal with the appliances here. I need all new ones. Just trying to get by with what's here until I can buy what I really want/need.
Well, I've got to close. Benny is wanting Mimi to hold and cuddle him again. I do love this little boy with all my heart. It hurts me to see him not feeling well.

I was busy last week visiting my Mom and getting her condo more vision friendly so I didn't post at all.
Warm weather arrived in Maine today. Highs in the 80's and thunderstorms forecast for tonight. A young friend came to visit me and swim in the lake. I just sat with my feet in the water because the water is still too cold for swimming.
My mother moved to a senior independent living facility last fall. I was glad to visit the facility and meet the "neighbors". The staff there are very friendly and I think my Mom is happy there. Her sight is failing so a large part of my time was spent making labels for the microwave, the washer/dryer and answering machine so she could still operate them. She has attended a 6 week course about going blind and they gave her quite a few aids like a magnifier and a talking watch. We went out a bought her a flat panel TV which makes it easier for her to read the ticker on the news channels.
I survived most of the visit but it sure is strange how old habits arise when you're with your parent. Old habits like sneaking food. The dining facility is very nice at her facility but I'm glad that I don't live there too many tempting deserts and ice cream. I suppose if you live to 70+ it doesn't matter what you eat but for someone still trying to get to goal weight it was very tempting.
Not much else is new here in Maine. Warm weather will be nice as I've still been running the heat at night and sleeping on flannel sheets. Positive thoughts to all of you in need.
