Sunday Blessings

 Good Morning Everyone,
I had a very blessed Saturday.  Our original plan was to head to an Italian restaurant here in the town I live in, and Kathy, our birthday girl asked if we could do a picnic at the local park she had been kayaking at for the day.  By 5:00 the sun was lower in the sky, and the breeze under the trees was just so pleasant.  It was so pleasant, I forgot to sette up financially with my sister.  We usually split the tab for dinner in honor of Kathy.  Basically, the birthday girl does not pay.  In December, we have my sister's 60th coming up.  Not sure what that will entail.

I have to get more awake, so I can get ready for church.  I keep drifting off here on my recking chair.

Must get moving.  Nothing in particular planned for the rest of the day.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning Trish and everyone.....

Trish.....the picnic sounded wonderful. I love to go to the park!

Judy...sounds like you BBQ was a success! You are so good to everyone!! I think everyone must have had a great time!! I know it will be hard to take your mom back. Hope her dog is okay.

I  never did leave the house yesterday. It was beautiful outside. I should have gone out. I was feeling down and decided to stay in. I ended up cleaning out all my dresser drawers and re-organizing my closet. When I moved in things got put away by my friend. I couldn't find so many things! Now I know where everything is!! I spent the rest of the day watching old movies and reading during commercials.

Have a beautiful day everyone!! Prayers for those in need.

Love and many hugs to all....connie d

Good afternoon, ya'll.
I hope everyone remembered their Dad with loving thoughts today. What is that country song? "If heaven wasn't so far away I'd pack up the kids and go for a day!"
I was having a hard time deciding on my next crochet project. I bought a bunch of yarn half price from Lion Brand. Not that I needed it, I have tons of yarn. I was gonna do an adult sized afghan with some chunky yarn but couldn't decide on a pattern. I have searched in all my books and all my favorite websites, but there are just too many choices! So I have settled on a favorite baby afghan pattern. It's one that can be used with any combonation of colors. Besides, baby stuff can go in my totes for future babies. I don't know who I would give a full size afghan to.
Our son and DIL came for a visit. We exchanged Dad's Day cards. She is starting a new afghan and needed a little help getting started. She just needs to have more confidence. Plus read the pattern carefully.
My DH and I went to breakfast. We get an omelet and split it and we still can't eat it all.
It is so gorgeous out! I love looking at the beautiful fluffy cumulous clouds against the blue sky. I remember as a kid laying in the fresh green grass with my best friend and deciding what animals, shapes etc. the clouds were. Do kids do that anymore?
I have been walking outside instead of on my treadmill. It is just too fantastic to stay in.
Judy, sounds like you had a great BBQ. I hope you are rested up and feeling better.
Trish, so glad you had a great picnic with your friend. i'm sure your Sis will let you settle up later.
Connie, some days you just have to take the time and stay in to 'get your house in order', litterally!
Jo, I hope your blue funk has turned pink and positive. Some weeks the finances win, some weeks we do. We just have to hang in there!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
