Prayer request
Thank you, everyone, for your prayers and support for my cousin and her husband.
I have suggested she speak with the hospital about the bills. He was in the hospital in FL, in TN and now in the rehab facility in IN. So bills from all of those places. Plus campground charges for months in FL and TN.
Marlene is a retired RN, so I know when she says she is not optimistic, it is probably not real good. We are mostly hearing from her sis and kids, since Marlene doesn't really have the time/desire to post often.
I agree, there are some major problems with our medical care industry. I read somewhere that the majority of bankruptcies in this country are due to medical bills. I agree that is wrong. But when I got my bills during my entire cancer thing and my DH's 2 surgeries, it is amazing what doctors and hospitals have to 'write off' their bills. At least if you have govt insurance, if the doc bills $2000 and the govt approves only $500, the doc has to write off $1500. The patient pays 20% of the $500. But if you have regular insurance (Blue Cross etc), you and your insurance have to pay the entire $2000. Again, something is not right here!
Sorry, soap box again! The entire thing here is about prayers for Dan and Marlene, and I thank you all for them.
