Morning OFF family!!

Well I am still sore from planting all my flowers but getting better...I think!! LOL Using my heated mattress pad is helping alot!! Just glad its cool at night instead of hot like last weekend was or I don't think it would be used!

Went to a car show yesterday here in town at the Moose club. Had some pretty cars there. Good music from way back when also. Then we went shopping and came back home and I went to bingo hoping to win some money so I could take a trip back to Michigan wednesday to see my mom for her birthday. My friends said if they won they would give me their winnings so I could go! That made me cry and then I couldn't see my numbers...well none of us won so no trip back home wednesday. Guess I am not supposed to go. I so want to see mom. She will be 91 this year. Keep looking at the check book...if I go alone...I can stay at her house. I could afford it then. Would love to bring her back for a few days...keep her here for our big BBQ that we are going to have for the complex on the 16th. Will be calling her later on and see what she thinks. I bet she says no.

Was talking with Rick last night and it dawned on me that it will be what 4 years ago that I moved here to Ohio. WOW already 4 years!! Sure doesn't seem like it has been that long already!! And I love it here!! Plus moving away from his family WE love it even more!!

Today we will be having a cookout with some of the tenants. They invited us. Going to have good food plus we will take out our cornhole game and see if we can remain champions...lol. I am making deviled eggs. They should be just about done now so should check them.

Had a call from the tenant that I have been trying to get moved in for weeks. She didn't showup friday, but called me yesterday every 5 minutes. I finally answered the phone. She asked if I would give her the key so she could move in. I told her NO! I do NOT work weekends unless it is an EMERGENCY!! This is NOT an emergency. There is NOTHING wrong with that apartment to make me work. I am on my way out. You can move in Monday. She said she had to be out from where she was staying. I said that was NOT my problem. She should have come for the key friday. I said goodbye and hung up. I am so tired of this womans run-around already and she isn't even moved in yet!!!  SIGHS...........Just hope she isn't going to be trouble!!!!!!!

OK eggs are done...need to get going here...Thoughts and Prayers for all that need them!!! Have a great day!!

Good afternoon Judy and everyone....

I am just laying around with my foot iced and propped up again today. The pain isn't quite as bad. It will be a while before I do any serious walking on it. A friend gave me a walker to use so that is helping me get around easier.

Enjoy your day everyone!! Prayers for those in need.

Love and hugs for all.....connie d

Good Morning Judy and OFF Sisters,
I was up most of the night visiting the bathroom.  Can't figure that out.  I had not been drinking much prior to bedtime.

Today, I am staying home from church because I am contagious still.  Don't want to risk exposing anyone.  You never know.

Nothing exciting happening these days.

Hugs,
Trish

Hi Judy, Trish, and all of OFF,

I forgot that my sister left on vacation yesterday so I will be home to feed Bela. That means I can keep up with my OFF and facebook friends. Nothing much going on here except church later. Take care.   Hugs,   Mag

Watching the Thames Pageant live on TV from London, over 1000 boats on the Thames including royal barge Spirit of Chartwell with Queen and her family onboard to celebrate  her diamond jubilee...Absolutely spectacular, and it has just started to rain, so despite pomp and ceremony, it is a chilly rainy London day, but crowd's spirit not dampened as pageant flotilla sails, rows and motors by as hundreds of thousands, many of them camped out last night to secure their places, crowd the bridges and shoreline along the Thames cheering and partying....It is a similarly cool rainy day here in Ottawa, but almost everyone  I know has been glued to their TV watching this since early this morning our time...London hasn't seen a flotilla on the Thames like this in more than 300 years. Lots of music and noise, really big party going on...Even the London Philharmonic conducted by David Perry is playing Greensleeves on their  boat, sheltered by see-through plastic canopy and sides...Lots of military bands also playing, and bagpipes, some of the bands unlucky enough to play in the rain with no protection.... they must be cold and wet but the show goes on.....

Good mornin' ya'll.

Judy, it sounds like that tenant is ALREADY trouble. I hope you can find a way to visit your Momma. And FOUR years?! It seems like just yesterday you were packin' up for your move. I'm glad you found the place where you are happy (except when tenants think you should drop everything on a weekend to deal with their problems).

Trish, I hope that whatever you have is gone quickly! Yuck.

Mag, glad you will have computer time again!

Yesterday, and everyday, was a go go go day, I have no idea how my daughter does it! She cleaned her house while I made magic cookie bars, we took granddaughter to BB practice, we got a pedi and looked a couple places for a table lamp, picked up granddaughter, went to lunch, went to Ikea, dropped her at home to shower, went to Albertson's. Home again to drop me. I made plum, rhubarb, strawberry sauce. The husband of my daughter's friend is always coming up with things he would like me to try. He requested plum rhubarb sauce, but we had a few strawberries, so I added those. It was supposed to be blended at the end but we have no blender here! So when we took it to him he was gonna blender it.

My daughter's ex has been drinking steadily since Thursday night. He was sorta sober for the counselling on Friday. The man is MORE than crazy. Yesterday, just one volley of texts: "So, who are you banging? Come on you can tell me. Is it.....? No? Then maybe ......? Oh I know it must be...... His wife bangs everyone she meets and now my wife is banging him. Go figure!" my daughter doesn't answer any of these texts. Then he begins calling and leaving very long voicemails filled with the same vitriol. Then this is the conversation in the car with granddaughter, do I have to go to Dad's tomorrow? Why? Me and him are having an argument by text. What about? He wants me to tell him who you are "banging". I keep telling him no one. So don't answer his texts. If I don't, he calls. So don't answer his calls. If I don't he yells at me when I get there. Well if you want to get to school way early Monday you don't have to go, but I have a meeting in Eugene. OK, but what if he is still drinking? I won't leave you Sunday if he is drinking. What if he starts after you go. Call me or go to.....(the neighbors). What if he's drinking Monday morning when he is supposed to take me to school? Wake up your brother and he will take you. Then Dad will be mad at both of us!

OMG! I'm tellin' ya' that man is bug a** crazy.

We all went to the friend's house for pizza night. We took 2 cars so granddaughter and I could come home at 10. Daughter stayed later.

Now, I am up and everyone else is asleep. Since 5 AM, my daughter's phone has been buzzing. I'm sure it is texts from the ex. I put a pillow over it but still wasn't able to get back to sleep. Let the day begin!! I leave at 10 PM.

Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Hello, everyone! It’s dark and dreary looking here..had a sudden downpour this morning.  I laid in bed for four hours and still didn’t sleep..then LilyRose jumped up onto the bed and walked up my poor legs…ouch! She is a full-figured gal, JB refers to her as that after the old Jane Russell bra commercials….and all that weight on her little feet just sink her body into my sore flabby legs and hips….lol…I’m trying to get her to lay down…..at least then, her weight is easier to tolerate on my hips since I sleep on my side.

Once SillyRose realized at, at 5 am, no one was getting up to feed her, she left the room but ten minutes later, as I’m FINALLY drifting off, Oreo hops on the bed and starts attacking our feet as we move them.  What charactors they both are!

I’m sitting here at my computer, listening to thunder booming and watching a small plane headed to the airport.  It could well be my son Danny flying up there and I feel a lot better seeing the plane prep for landing and slip down behind a huge grove of trees. Whew! And now the rain is headed here..I can see for miles from here..watching a huge wall of rain approach across the woods and hundreds of acres of vineyards across the road.  Yes, now it’s reached the cars, now the house..I love to watch storms approach and marvel at nature. All the eleven outside cats have scrambled to seek shelter in their “cat houses, snuggled together now in sweet dry hay from our back fields. Zeus is warm inn his insulated doghouse inside the small barn. Oreo and SillyRose are curled up beside JB, watching a movie. Maybe I have time for a short nap upstairs since I didn’t sleep much last night…..I love to lay in bed and listen to the rain.

We are expected next door at 4:30 for tea and rhubarb cake and a visit with Derek & Kathy…Kathy is a real “family”-oriented girl and loves to invite us over - quite a sharp contrast from our daughter-in-law, Dan’s wife. With this rain, I guess JB will have to drive us over but I have a big bag of cookbooks …many from Mom…I always hated to throw them out, and with Kathy being a chef, she appreciates them.

I am so grateful to have this lazy day to relax. Blessings to all! Nancy B
