Nan, I haven't been here much. Just busy, distracted, unfocused! So happy to see your post and that you are feeling great. Know that I think about you and yours often. How is Morgan doing?

Aloha Judy and thanks for the kind words. Your life is a whirlwind and although I hear a lot of challenges, I also hear a lot of LOVE happening.....that's the frosting on the cake, right?? Oh, geez...always the food references....sigh. The body might be skinny, but the mind still sees a fat person who is always hungry!!

I admire your taking on managing a condo project. Our manager here is such a nice guy, but oh man is he busy!! Sometimes you must just want to lock your door, turn off your phone and just vegge......Ha!

So glad you are still sharing here, Judy.

Aloha nui loa,

Karen, so wonderful that you dropped us all a note. I was wondering how you were.
I used to do Hearing Tests for preemies in the NICU years ago and loved it.
I also was a cuddler to preemie's who needed to be held due to alcohol and drugs. I would bring them out to my desk and just snuggle them and sing to them all the time.
Babies are wonderful and keep us young! Hugs Debbie

Aloha Debbie.....Isn't working with newborns just a gift! I can be in a really bad mood, but after seeing those bright new little faces,my mood always changes.

I am thankful for so much.......and this forum is certainly up there high on the list.

 Hi Karen,
So wonderful to hear from you.  It sounds like you are being diligent with your diet.  I need to get some more discipline.  I am improving, but have not arrived yet.

I was blessed with a new grandson on May 3rd.  I got so much pleasure out of holding him, and watching my two year old grandson and four year old grandaughter interacting with him.  They are so much fun to hang around with.  Isabel, the four year old, loves to do crafts with me, and play with her Barbie collection.  Lincoln, the two year old, loves to play ball out in the yard with me, or to play Angry Birds on my iPhone.  He's pretty good at it.  He calls it "Tweet tweet."

Please check in with us more often.  It gives me the chance to fantasize about my dream trip to Hawaii.  My son told me it is beautiful.  It is my dream to visit there someday.  It's near the top of my bucket list.

Hugs,
Trish

Aloha Trish......Aren't grandchildren fun! You sound like you have three little cuties, and you are very lucky to have a granddaughter!! I have three grandsons....4, 6 and 8. Love them like crazy, AND wish one of them had been a girl. No girls in my family. My brother has three sons and a grandson. I have two sons, and three grandsons!! I really enjoy my time with the little girl babies at the hospital. Sometimes I have a third baby and it's a girl after mother gave birth to two sons.......oh my....I say I will NOT tell my DIL about this!! Ha

Thanks for sharing!

Dear Maui Sistah,

How absolutely wonderful to read your post!!!  You've done an amazing job of keeping the weight off and my lowest weight was 156 and that was ages ago (lol), but I continue on, fighting obesity, my problem is and probably will continue to be, a love of good food and while I really eat a fraction of what I once did, adapting and finding ways to eat what I like within the confines of lifepath, it seems that even at 1400 calories, with daily exercise, I cannot get back to where I want to be, but I don't quit and I will and am succeeding at one of the toughest battles of my life, this thing called obesity. . .  I don't post much anymore, other than the watcha eating thread, but I try to stay on top of what is going on in people's lives and offer assistance to anyone new that comes along. . .  life is good today, busy and full of richness, in part, largely, due to WLS!!!

Anyway, I love the pictures you paint and I can only imagine the rowers and their chants and perhaps one day, I will get to see and hear them myself. . .

Much aloha to you dear woman!!!

Laureen

Aloha sweet Laureen.......It is always a pleasure to see you on here. I used to be so active in here, and not sure why I haven't been lately. I will try to be more active.

You have done great with your program. I think it's almost a given that we will regain...some more than others. My body has just accepted being a normal weight and I am so thankful for that. I have other physical challenges, but isn't that true for all of us. Sharing in here really helps doesn't it. These are strong, brave women who know how to love and help each other.

Aloha nui loa,

Aloha, Karen, I've missed you. I've started another new job, this one in Evansville, Ind., much better than the other one. Trying to sort things out in my life. Love my job, trying to settle in and find new friends. My new kitty Juliette is a joy.
