Not a holiday here in Canada, so brought car into garage early this morning to have AC fixed.  Unlike Carlak who hopes to get her AC fixed on car's warranty, I will have to pay as car is very old  but working just fine except for AC..Fingers crossed it won't bankrupt me!  May take a few days as they had already topped with freon and put red dye in April when we had unexpected early hot weather but it got cooler since then...I started AC end of last week as it was  hot and muggy, as was out of country most of May...and it   still did not blow cold air, so garage has  the car for several days to troubleshoot and get whatever parts are needed...

In the meantime heard that 2 girfriends each lost their mother , one last Friday and the other last night....So hard to lose a mother although we all go through it in our lives...And now will have 2 funerals to attend, hope I get my car back in time!

Happy Memorial Day to my American friends!  I have a friend in New Jersey, he is a Vietnam Vet.  It makes me very sad to hear him speak of how the Vietnam Vets were treated when they returned home!  That just is NOT right!  My friend, a Ranger, with several Purple Hearts and infield commendations and Rank Promotion, was called horrible names, kicked at and spit at as they came thru the airport…how dare anyone do that to those who risked their lives for their country!  Just because the US didn’t win that war!  He has Post-Polio syndrome and ALS and cannot afford to got to the doctor or the hospital when he needs to, his medication costs a fortune and he lost his job as plant supervisor at 63 years old. His service should be rewarded now he needs his country.  Well, enough of that,., just makes me sick.  I have been around less, struggling with my medication’s side effects.  The deep bone pain really disturbs my sleep so I get short sprints of zzzz for 1-3 hours at a time, leaving me feeling like old gluefoot. Very little gets done and today I’m forcing myself to clear out the laundry room for the new robot cat litter machine which turned out HUGE.  This morning we took Rufus and Randolf, two male feral cats, to the vets to be neutered..we pick them up this afternoon. That’s the last of the surgeries…twenty six feral cats, none of them ours, but they are all now neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.  But now, we have to do all the BOOSTER shots for all 26 and our own inside cats..egad! There’s no end to this!  Derek asked us over last night…he and Kathy want to buy a semi-detached house to rent out, thus bringing in some extra income.  John agreed to co-sign for the mortgage but not before doing a lot of lecturing and I had all I could do to keep my mouth shut. He can be so heavy handed at times with Derek. Derek is a lot more laid back than JB approves of and that causes some friction at times. I try to soften it but sometimes it is best that I just keep quiet…I hate having to hear some of the stuff he says. But the bottom line is that he agreed to co-sign and so they have put their offer in this morning. John just prefers everything to run perfectly and our other son, Dan, is internal and focused like John but Derek is not as intense and that bothers John.  Derek works hard but is sloppy at paperwork, frustrates the heck out of John who is always so “perfect”.  Sorry, had to vent a wee bit there.  I have broken away for several associates that I’ve worked with for five years. While I’ve been away dealing with my surgery & treatment, they evolved their theories to such a degree that I find that I cannot accept them at all.  Seems to me that EGO and GREED has taken over what was originally to be a spiritual growth to help others. I have disassociated myself from them and they are very upset with me. The one was my Mentor and reacts with anger, resentment and makes demeaning comments to me, has broken confidentiality of clients, and I want nothing to do with that.  So it has been very stressful for me the last few weeks.  I feel FREE! now, away from being “used” by two so-called friends.  Looking back over my post, it seems that I have a lot of beefs today but sometimes, people NEED to speak out against what’s not right. Well, after only two hours of sleep last night, it’s almost noon so I am headed upstairs to have  a nap. VERY hot and dry here…hoping our garden will survive.  Sending love and positive energy to all in need for courage and comfort and healing, Nancy B

Good mornin' ya'll!
So sorry to hear of everyone's trials and tribulations. I am praying for everyone! Thirty one years-congrats! Glad Rick's family put in an appearance, sorry it was stressful.
Yesterday was go go go, all day. Took our granddaughter to her Dad's. She didn't wanna go. She always gets a headache when she is getting ready to go there and while she is there. I now know why the ex keeps telling our daughter the kids want her to come back. Granddaughter says if she tells the truth her Dad yells at her, keeps at her til she tells him what he wants to hear. Grandson was mad at her for the last week. When we were there she invited him to our lasagna dinner. Grumble, grumble. He showed up here an hour later, happy as a clam!! Again, while with Dad they have to be ugly and surly!! Or usually, if they have just come from his house! I made a pie, more cookie bars, two huge pans of lasagna, we got the patio furniture and I helped her friend put it together. Our daughter and all of them left for a concert. She told grandson she had bought the tickets back when he said he was NOT coming. He was OK with it. He just wants to play his puter games. Plus he had a friend over and they went to the hot tub and pool.
Happy Memorial Day to many generations of veterans. My son, my husband, my Dad, EVERY one of my uncles, my grandfathers, greats of all of the above. Oh, and soon a grandson. All the way back to the Civil War. I am very proud.
Today, BBQ with about 20 folks, kids and adults. One of the guys does the grilling. I just have to do baked beans, herbed potatoes, squash, corn, seven layer dip, sausage roll up appetizers, strawberry rhubarb pie and banans foster. My daughter is having such a good time hosting. She actually cooks now that no one is telling her she is doing it wrong!!. Something she was never able to do with the ex. As a matter of fact, yesterday he asked her if her friends, R & J, were 'swingers' and they were all sleeping together. That man is bug-ass*d crazy!! He still thinks she is having an affair with one of her employees who is clearly gay, but he hasn't 'come out'.
I better get to prepping for tonights dinner. Grandson and his friend just went down to work out, than visit the pool.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!!

Good morning Trish and everyone.....

Trish.....Sorry you didn't sleep well....maybe a nap later will help.

Annette...I know you will worry about your fur babies. I know they will miss you too. Do try to enjoy your time in Virginia.

Vickie.....Happy Anniversary!!! 31 years is really something these days!

Cindi....Congrats on getting out there and walking. That is great!!  You are doing an awesome job! Try not to be sad. I have been all week and can't figure it out. Maybe today will be a better day for both of us!

Jeannie.....Enjoy your last day off!!

Judy....I know Rick loves his mother but enough is enough. When Rick's own family steals from you that should be their last time in your house. What rude people. They are thieves!!!
Your grandson is the only plus!! Sounds like you had a great time with your family!!

Mermaidoz....sorry I don't know your name. I am so sorry for your loss. I had 2 friends die in 4 days a couple weeks ago. I understand your sorrow.

Carolyn.....sounds like you will have a wonderful family filled day!

Nancy...exta HUGS today!!

As for me.....I am invited to a BBQ at 1:00. Then a get together with a bunch of other friends later in the afternoon. Should be a fun day!

Thank you to all our Military...past and present!!! God Bless!!

Have a really nice day everyone. Prayers for those in need.

Love and hugs to all......connie d
