Memorial Day What's Happening

Good Morning OFF Family,
How is everybody?  I am up early.  Couldn't get back to sleep after going potty, so I decided to get up, and get something to eat.  I'll probably fall asleep in my rocking chair again.

I have no particular plans for today.  It's going to be 90 degrees today, so I'll stay in and continue cleaning my bedroom.  I made some progress yesterday.  Now, to try and fini****

I do have to get to an AA meeting too.  I am not sure which one I'll attend.

I hope in all the picnics and parades, everyone will remember the reason for celebrating today.  Honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning Trish and all,

I am working today. My client has developmental disabilities and gets upset when our routine changes.

No picnics for us today. Yesterday I barbecued ribs and there are enough left for today. One was plenty for me but Tom feasted well.

We had a rough night. The cats and Baxter yowled at "something" off and on all night. I had put a solar spotlight under the tree where the dogs walk when we go out. The other night there was a raccoon in the tree. Maybe that's what had them nervous? Moving the spotlight today!!!

My brother is taking the two dogs when we go to Virginia and I am a nervous wreck. First of all because they have a bunch of cats who have never been exposed to puppies. Scaredy cats at that. My dogs are used to bold, interactive cats. My brother had a two story house, ours is one floor. Poor little Jerry hasn't quite mastered stairs yet.

Off to work - you all have a great day.

Good morning Trish and Annette and my OFF sistas to come!

Annette--so good to see you posting again!

Seems like rough nights were the norm last night.  Benny woke up screaming and crying around 2 a.m.  All I can figure is he was having a nightmare.  Poor little fella.  I got him out of the port-a-crib and put him in bed with us.  He eventually went back to sleep.  I never really did.  I'm zonked.

Today is a special day for us.  It's our 31st anniversary.  Wish we were spending it in some fabulous locale.  Instead we're facing a ***** of a day trying to pack up and get the heck out of here, and then make the 6 hour drive back to Hilltop with a toddler.  Oh well, we're together, and that's what counts.  Many's the year when we've had to be apart.  And like I always say, "a date is just a square on a calendar".  We'll celebrate our special day another time--maybe later on this week, if we're lucky.

Well, I have to hit the floor running this morning.  SO much to DO!!  It boggles the mind.  Hope you all enjoy your holiday.

Love you all!

 Vickie,
Happy Anniversary.  31 years of marriage is worth celebrating.  I hope you will have the opportunity to do something for just the two of you once your move is complete.

Hugs,
Trish

Good Morning Trish and OFF-

Forced myself out of bed this morning and walked the road.  Carried my two pound weights with me and tried to do arm exercises.    Well I didn't have to stop and rest every few steps but I was winded when I got home.

I struggled all day yesterday with the blues and wanting to soothe myself with food.  There is no reason for me to be sad but no matter what I focused on I wanted to cry most of the day.  Oh well, I'll breath deeply and keep on plodding.

Congrats to Vickie and Butch on their anniversary.  Hope your travel day is uneventful.

Today I will work to get the front porch in shape and cleaning up the house.  Going to make some fish stew to put in the freezer in individual serving sizes.  One day at a time will be the motto for a few days until I shake this feeling.

Positive thoughts to all in need.

Cindi--

Don't be sad, lad!  Don't be glum, chum!  Chin up!  Just look where you are this summer as opposed to last summer.  So proud of you and all you have accomplished this year.  Now, go start a new quilt or something and give yourself a pat on the back.  You're doing great!

Today is my last day off:  I've been off since Thursday.  Today I am going to mow the lawn and then take my granddaughter home.   DH is not feeling well, so he will probably be in and out of bed most of the day.  DH and I are going to grill chicken later toaday.  Other than that, my day is the same.

Happy Memorial Day OFF Family!! And THANKYOU to ALL the Veterans out there!!!

Well my son and his girl left last night...:-( but we had some good times together while they were here!! Loved seeing them both!!! Hope they get married soon!! I did notice a ring on her finger but nothing was said...waiting for them to tell me. My friends here loved them both and can't wait to see them back again!! Infact after they left Carol said she would DJ for their wedding if they wanted her to. :-) Now that was nice!!!

Rick's family DID show up and OMG they were here for about 4 hours and it was 4 hours too long if you ask me!!! Into everything!!!!!!! Can you believe that????? Looking in the cupborads, freezer, refrierator, closets, pantry etc and if we find anything missing they will never be welcome back again!! Rick said he didn't know this was going on til I told him about it after everyone was gone home. He said he would call them all today and tell them a thing or two!! I said I would NEVER even THINK about going into their homes and LOOK in every nook and cranny to see what they had!!! I thought it very rude and nosey!!!!!! His family was very unsociable also to my family and friends and ofcourse to me as well. Gave the Christmas gifts to them and never even got a thankyou!!! Nice huh? Well not sure there will be gifts for this coming Christmas for them. For Rick's grandson maybe but the rest...don't think so. Just happy to see them leave!!!

Rick did a great job cooking food for the cookout we had...omg the food was sooooooooooo good!!!!!!!! Everyone kept telling me how good the food was...well everyone except Rick's family. They filled their face and that was it. No manners to help clean up either.

Today its going to be hot as hell here...already 82* and going to be near 100* they say. They started talking about heat and air last night for our area. Glad we are off and have AC. Today its rest and just relax all day long!!!

Boy I miss my son and his girl...had such a good visit with them!!!

Well time to get going and find some breakfast...thoughts and prayers for all that need them!!

HUGS
