Super Saturday, What's Happening?

Good Morning Family,
I am in Pittsburgh, enjoying the luxury of a Residence Inn Hotel.  I got it on Priceline, for $55.  Gotta love it.'

I am on my way to meet my grandson.  His name is Franklin Michael.  I love it.  Last night, I had a yummy dinner at my son, Sean's.  He is dog sitting, Utley, for me.  I could not stay long, because of the lingering cigarette smoke in the room.  They both smoke like chimneys.  While they did not smoke in front of me, the room still had smoke, and it triggered my asthma.

Today, I am heading down to the pool for a swim, before breakfast.  Then, I hit the road for the last leg of my trip, and my first chance to hold Frankie for the first time.  What joy.

I hope everyone has a blessed day.

Hugs,
Trish

Hi Trish,
I am so excited for you!!!! My cousin is named Franklin jay!!!!! but he is older than me!!!!! Ill have to check Priceline for my trip!!!! Never thought of that. I just used to get the coupon book at the rest areas at the welcome centers.... How long are you staying in Michigan????? I am probably comming to Michigan at the end of June or the beginning of July not sure how long I am staying in Colorado. I was toying with the idea of going thru Pennsylvania on my way back to Florida cause I want to go back to Philadelphia and site see again and maybe go to New York. but we shall see how that goes. I was thinking of taking route I-95 along the eastern coast home. I have never seen most of those states.
My litttle men weht home last night to give me a break!!!!! My 5 yr old maddox is going to Georgia today with his Papa. He is so excited!!!!! He has never been out of the state of Florida!!!!!
Hope Utley has a good time while you are away!!!!!
safe travels.

 Hi Carla,
I went to Priceline to bid.  When you bid, you are locked in to the price, and you pay for the room automatically.  You don't get to choose your hotel, just how many stars.  There are four hotels in Monroeville that are 3 stars, according to Priceline.  The going rate for this hotel is $139 a night.  I bid $55 when I come through.  I have stayed at the Doubletree, Courtyard by Marriott, and Residence Inn by Marriott.  The only one I have not stayed at is the Holiday Inn.

I will only be in Michigan for a week, or two.  But, if you come through Philadelphia this summer, let me know.  I live right outside it, and worked there for 20 years as a teacher.

Have a great weekend.

Hugs,
Trish

Good mornin' ya'll.
Trish, I can't wait to smell fresh baby in July, when my great grandson is born!. You are so lucky. And a road trip too, fantastic. I live in Jacksonville, NC. Home of Camp Lejuene. If you are coming this way give me a call. I'd love to meet you. I have a spare bedroom if you need a bed and private bath. I might even cook for you. That only happens for special people. 910-455-4953. Or we can just meet for coffee somewhere, in case you think we might kill you in your sleep. Oh, and we have a fenced back yard for Utley, and we don't smoke. Oh, wait a minute!! Maybe you will try to kill us in our sleep! EEEEKKKK!! Lots of stuff is happening here from May 17th to May 24th. I'll be gone much of the time, and when I am home our grandson will be using the guest bedroom. The one without craft crap everywhere!
Today? Stay inside out of the humidity. Make a dollie camisole and bathrobe. Maybe cut out another dress. My housekeeper wanted to know if I sell them. Her daughter has an American Girl doll and I guess the clothes are very expensive. I said nope! If I sell stuff I am always afraid someone might see an imperfection and not be happy. (Crochet stuff I will sell sometimes, cause it is easier for me to find and correct mistakes). I really prefer to give my stuff away, though. Sooooo.....next time the housekeeper comes I will have a couple of outfits for her to give to her daughter!!
Gotta go. My craft room is calling!!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!!

Good morning Trish, Carla, and Carolyn!

Well here we are again--Benny, me and the dogs--hanging out in the backyard. This boy loves the outdoors! If we are inside, he grabs my hand and leads me to the backdoor. He wants to go outside to play! Fortunately its still cool enough in the mornings to be bearable here. Don't know what we'll do when it really heats up.

My poor daughter is having a real case of buyers remorse. She hasn't worked in 3 years. It's starting to sink in now that she's going to have to work to support herself and Benny for a long, long time. She doesn't want to go back to John, but she would like to go back to being a full time mom. It's all she can do to make herself get in the car and go to work everyday. I'm doing all I can to be supportive and sympathetic without being too sympathetic, you know? I mean, she really has no choice. The sooner she accepts it, the better.

Just 4 more days until my sweetheart comes home! I can't wait. Oh how I have missed that man!

My daily headache is starting up again. 3rd one in a row. This sh*t is getting old.

I'd better close and go get Benny a snack and some juice. Hope you all have a happy Saturday!

Love you all!

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

Things are better today. We had some storms last night; I left work early because I felt queasy and as soon as I got outside, my head started to hurt ... so I knew why I felt queasy. It was lightning all around and the sirens were going off. When I got home, I had some peppermint tea and put an ice pack on my neck, and that seemed to calm things down.

I couldn't stand the smoke, either, Trish. My dad was a heavy smoker, and I don't know how I lived with it all those years. I think that's maybe why I have allergies and asthma now.

I was able to pay my rent, so I am relieved today. Plus, I opened a new checking account at this bank in Walmart called Woodforest Bank: for 55 and older, it's all free ... free checking, free debit card, free money orders, free cashier checks .... free, free, free! I'm closing my credit union account and moving everything over to this bank, much better.

Well, I have to get to work soon. Have a good day. Trish, enjoy your new grandson.

I'm happy for you, and although we too have had thunderstorms in St Remy de Provence, it's a bit like Camelot since daytime is sunny and in high 70's....luggage didnt make our last connection, and I got us lost driving the rental car, although have done it at least 5 times in the last 10 years including in the dark....felt foolish, as driving  2 other friends  who were not impressed. We are getting acclimatized and have already eaten about a week's ration of cheese, and a fresh baguette  and bottle of wine each day. Today I made ratatouille to go along with BBQ steak for evening, and at lunch we had fresh asparagus and prosciutto ...and cherries from the tree in the backyard as this is cherry and strawberry, asparagus season over here.....

Tomorrow we will do some more serious sightseeing, will check in later this week with everyone here...

Other than the asparagus and strawberries ... I am drooling. Love all the rest. Cheese and cherries and baguettes and wine ... yum! And hunky Frenchmen. Have a great time.
