I told him if he didnt get up I was going to do it!!!!!
I leave for Denver in 24 days!!!!! I cant wait. I figured out my route. Its going to take me 3 good days.. to drive it. Ill be there a month then Im going to Chicago for a few days to play with my daughter then home. Ill be gone probably 6 weeks.
Maybe life will be good to me and it wont rain today!!!!
Talk on.....
Carla
I hope you have a great road trip, Carla.
This is just a quick fly by. I made one doll outfit yesterday and began another. I need more dark brown seam binding tape for my Indian dress. Do I begin something else, then go to Han**** at 9:30, or putz around the house and then go? I do not like to be interrupted in the middle of something and I hate to begin one project without finishing the other.
Our son will be here for lunch today, so maybe I'll make his salad and unload the dishwasher and by then the fabric store will be open.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
I know what you mean about the kids not wanting to sleep. My granddaughter was like that when I was in Michigan. She has to get up for preschool every morning, but cries all the time at bedtime.
Today, my son is taking a bus back to Pittsburgh. I had hoped to be heading back to Michigan by now, but not so. The baby is not here yet, and my daughter told me she really doesn't need me there till her husband has to go away again, which is next week.
I see my orthopedist to get the results of the MRI back. I am hoping it tells him something that can be fixed.
Hope everyone has a blessed day.
Hugs,

Good Morning all:
Carla, I feel your pain with taking care of young kids. They are fun but high maintainence. Have fun on your trips. Make sure you have a good cushion for all the driving. You don't have as much padding and the seat gets hard after awhile.
I haven't been up to much. Getting ready for wedding season. My niece and good friend are getting married memorial weekend. This weekend we are going to our nephews house to help him with his HUGE garden.
Have a great week everyone. Mona

Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!
Good morning my OFF sistas!
Yes, Carla, I feel your pain, too! Benny threw a temper tantrum this morning when he realized that Chris was leaving for work. Poor lil fella! Lots of adjustments to be made.
Busy, busy days for me right now. I'm a little worried about myself and my bad eating habits. I have caught myself finishing up little bites of breakfast and snacks that Benny leaves behind. OMG. NO! I can't slip back into that habit. Why do I feel this complusion not to throw food away? Why do I feel like I have to clean everybody's plate for them before I put it in the dishwasher?
At least I am aware of it. Now I have to figure out how to STOP it!
I'm reading all your posts and trying to keep up with everyone. Just not much computer time these days. If I'm playing WWF with you, don't give up on me! I haven't forgotten you!
Love you all!
You and I have to get together!!!! We are in the same boat!!!!! I just might have to take a ride down to the hill country again and we can reminiice!!!!!! I am in Diaper mode!!!!! I havent baught diapers in 27 years and I baught the wrong size!!!!! but they fit the little rug rat!!!!! So Im ahead of the game!!!!!
Ill be in Denver the month of June but on my way I just might take a detour up there one never knows where Ill end up!!!!! I was going to take the I-75 to I-24 to 57 to 64 then to 70 then to denver but I could detour and come thru texas!!!! and up thru san antonio......HMMMMMM...It wouldnt be to far out of the way........CArla
I have also been owned by cats, but for sheer volume of food treats, nothing beats a dog...I had a bad hit and run accident when I was 11 and spent over a year in hospital and at home, and my street cat ( he adopted us, was part Angorra so his fur was always a bit stragglly despite brushing) lived on my bed when I was convalescing at home, and would help me eat my cooked steak, and screwed up his nose to drink my bubbling fizzy coke out of a saucer, and loved cheese, and whipped cream and strawberries, and Digestive cookies ( ate more human food than any other cat I ever had before or after)...The only animals I don't warm up to are birds, fish and reptiles, although I had a turtle Jeffrey who was best friends with my cat Tibby...but Jeffrey ate lettuce leaves and Tibby only cooked liver, fish and potatoes mixed with spinach ( we lived in a country where there was no commercial pet food available, so our animals ate basically what we did in the way of protein and veg, just an extra serving cooked for them)..
Still think the grateful "rescue dog" for cleaning up plates and babysitting Benny, as they are on acreage at the lake, would be great as long as they are animal people....maybe a cat too to complete the menagerie..;-)
Am all for animals growing up with kids as the kids benefit from better immune systems, and kids learn to love animals....I was an only child and my mother made sure I always had an animal companion...(nobody had heard of allergies to animals in thise days and everyone smoked)...I had childhood asthma but figured it was from all the smoking everyone did as when away from my smoking parents ( I never did smoke, unusual for a smoking environement kid) when at university, I felt so much better, and yes, can honestly say I never did whacky tabacky...it gave me asthma just being around others who smoked! Now I am a rabid "non-smoking" advocate and feeling comfortable with all the smoke free venues life offers ....Animals are another thing: they are a lifelong commitment, and I would take meds to accommodate an animal giving me allergies! The companionship is so worth it, just like when I put up with my smoking parents even when I was an adult and knew it triggered my asthma.
I was always sneezing growing up, but Mom said I had spring and fall colds ... uh, I think they're called allergies now. And after WLS, I developed mild asthma (figure that out!) Roomed with smokers in college, including one who had asthma. Both are nonsmokers now, thankfully.
I grew up with a dog, too, and I'm allergic to dogs instead of cats. Figure that one out. Oh well, I love all animals. My new chiro has a dog in the office ... cute little pooch, a cairn terrier she found at the pound.
BTW, mail's not here yet, but I'll let you know as soon as I get it.
