4.5 years post-op and my plan for today is. . .

B:  W/W cinnamon raisin french toast w/a side of 1% cottage cheese

S:  Celery with peanut butter and some fennel

L:  The stir fry I did not eat as last night's dinner

S: two slices of smoked turkey w/half slice of bread

D:  Whole Wheat Pasta tomato sauce with peppers and chicken sausage

S:  1/2 cup of rice pudding with strawberries and bananas

As you might note, my plan is in place, but often I deviate from it, sometimes to my betterment and other times, not so much, but as I said yesterday, I'm on a journey, there is really no destination in mind, other than to maintain my health and well-being, but I am happy to say that my tool let's me know still that it is in charge and that is a good thing. . .  as always, when this day ends and if I change anything from what I listed here, I will come back and use those buttons at the bottom of this post to edit and let you know what I actually ate. . .   Thanks for all of you who do participate.

Have a healthy eating day and please if you're not perfekt, put the bat down, just start over where you're at. . .

Hugs, Laureen

Laureen, today hopefully will go like this:
B - Yogurt with homemade granola
S - Last of the strawberries
L - Leftover pork chop with small salad
S - Quest protein Bar
D - Maybe some shrimp with veggies
Still not getting enough water in - really have to work on that! That is one thing that has still not become routine for me - but I am a work in progress.
Thanks Laureen.

Good morning Laureen and SandraKay!

I'm happy to report that my eating seems to be coming back under control again.  I'm not "grazing" all day long again this week.  Thank heavens!  That stress eating is a real pitfall for me!  But now that I'm finally down here at the lake with my daughter and grandson, things seem to have settled down a bit and I can control myself again.

(SandraKay, I have a problem remembering to drink my water, too.  I try to drink at least 2 16 oz bottles a day, but often fall short!)

So far today:

B--oatmeal with walnuts and cranberries, 1/2 brown rice cake with a dab of peanut butter

S--protein drink

L--banana with some peanut butter (it's a peanut butter kind of day!)

S--

D--we're having shrimp fixed some way, prolly some fresh aspargus and boiled new potatoes with it.

I'll try to come back and fill in the rest of the day, if time and Benny will permit!  LOL!
