Good Morning Thursday!!!!!
Good mornin' ya'll.
Carla I know what you mean about waking up a little one for school. Our oldest son never got up on his own. Every school day of his life I had to go wake him up. When he was older he would turn the alarm clock off and go back to sleep. If I put the alarm across the room, he would get out of bed to turn it off, crawl back into bed and go to sleep!! Every durn day! And this is the one that grew up to be a Marine. I guess I should have played revally ( sp ), every morning!
Today my DH goes to get his toenails clipped (thank heaven for Medicare). Then we have to drop off a shirt at our DIL's work. I hemmed the sleeves for a coworker who needs it tomorrow and our DIL forgot to stop and pick it up this morning.
Then home to finish the last of the elephant slippers, get them in the box and send them all off to our daughter in OR.
That is the extent of my day.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Good Morning Carla,
Guess I missed something, Mommy mode? 5 year old. . . WOW for you and have fun, when their 5 and won't get up, it get's worse with each succeeding year (lol). . .
Things are good, had a good WLS support group last night and some of the discussion was about how do we go forward and continue succeeding as time goes on and basically what we discussed is that the time to make changes are in the window of time, referred to as the honeymoon period, that first 18 months to 2 years post-op, where changing habits can be created that will sustain us long-term, however, I am one of those whose habits did not change wholly and so I am still working on it, but I continue to believe in the possibility of getting to a healthy place and being able to maintain that for the duration of my life.
I got some good news to share, my daughter, Angela, the nurse, was singled out in her hospital for the Daisy Award which is a nationally recognized award!!
Have a great day everyone, peace and strength to all.
Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Hi Carla and OFF,
I took Isabel to preschool. She is four. Next Thursday evening is the time when she goes to sign up for Kindergarten, in the same school as her preschool. Michigan has a law that all public schools must provide preschool. If parents can afford, they pay tuition. My daughter doesn't have to, because her teaching job is only part time, and her hubby's carpentry business is not that lucrative. My daughter is concerned because her OB doc wants to induce her that evening. She did attend a parent teacher conference yesterday, and they agreed about who should be Isabel's Kindergarten teacher.
Lincoln and I are watching my favorite Disney movie, "Monsters Inc." It was the first movie I went to by myself, after my divorce. I love it.
My daughter brings Isabel home from school at lunch time. Today is Mommy's last day at school for over a year. She was able to get a year leave from teaching after having her third child.
I am heading back to Pennsylvania on Sunday, as my daughter needs some privacy to prepare for the baby. The gender is a secret, and she wants to get the baby clothes washed from storage, and set them up in the appropriate room. Plus, I am in desperate need of a CT scan of my sinuses, which I put off. My ENT doc needs it done, then I have to schedule a follow-up appointment with him, and it takes a month to get one with him.
I hope everyone has a blessed day.
Hugs,
Trish

Hi Carla and my OFF sistas!
Carla, I'm in Mommy mode, too! Waiting on Benny to stir this morning. I expect he'll be waking up any minute now.
Oh, girls, I wish you could see my little herd of deer this morning! I went out to feed and they just kept coming. I counted 40 at one point. I'm really going to have to ration my deer corn this year. Last year, it didn't really matter if I dropped a couple hundred bucks on deer corn and alfalfa hay to feed the deer. This year I have to spend that couple hundred bucks on diapers and baby things. But I just can't let my deer go hungry either. All those little mommies need some extra help. Some of them are so scrawny, and you can tell they're carrying, too. I get mad at the big bucks (who are NOT scrawny) when they come down to eat and chase the mommies away from the corn.
My one special little doe, the one I named Little Mommy, still comes to eat out of my hand every time. Oh, and she loves apples! Next time I go to the store, I'm going to buy a bag of those little small apples just for her. She's just so sweet.
Chris is actively searching for work and filling out job apps, etc. I hope she will get called in for an interview soon.
Benny and I are getting along wonderfully. Chris and I are managing. So far, so good.
I was excited to weigh on the scales here this morning. I weghed 179 here today. That's the first time I've gotten under 180 on these scales ever. I hope I can continue the downward trend. I would really like to make my 100 lbs gone milestone! I'd love to weigh around 165 again. Don't know how long it will take me to get there, but I guess it doesn't really matter. Time's going to pass no matter what. Might as well pass it losing the weight slowly.
Carolyn, I saw the little elephant slippers on FB. Really cute! You did a good job with their little faces and trunks.
Hope everyone is doing well and has a wonderful day today!
Love you all!

Good Morning All,
Time does not seem to change things. My 19 year old graddaughter just rushed out of here to get to her morning class. Her mother was the same way. I only have one grandchild who is a morning person (he's 6) and greets each day with a smile and a song. Just too precious. Hope he never out grows that attitude.
Vickie hang in there with Chris for each day you wake up with Benny will make dealing with Mom easier. Those little ones chase all the woes away. Thank God for them.
Laureen, I'm glad I'm still in the "honeymoon" period because I still have several bad habits to work on. Support group tonight so maybe I can get some strategies for working on how to make those changes.
Coffee is calling my name.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
