Wacky Wednesday What's Up?
I got up to go potty and can't get back to sleep. I usually get up around 7:00 to help Isabel get ready for preschool, and shower.
Today, is get Isabel to school, feed Lincoln, play with him for a couple of minutes, bring bags of clothes up from basement to find clothes in the kids' sizes. I also have been given a massage this afternoon, and then I am going to an AA meeting this evening.
I will be heading home on Sunday, unless the baby comes before that. I will return the beginning of May.
Hugs and love to all,
Trish

Just a quick hello this morning. I already hear Benny stirring in his crib. He's talking to himself. So sweet!
I had a super busy day yesterday. Finally got the kitchen cleaned up and organized to my satisfaction. It's not perfect, but at least my nerves don't scream when I walk in there.
It's a beautiful spring day here in the hill country of Texas. Cool mornings, warm afternoons, lovely breezes up here on the hill. Wildflowers in bloom everywhere! Wi**** could stay this way year round.
Love you all!
Hi OFF Friends!
Anyone even remember me? I have been AWOL. Not on purpose just busy with traveling and then back home to work, work, work, rearranging rooms and furniture (about the only way I really clean is to totally redo a room!) and working in the yard which is a labor of love. However on Sunday I managed to step back out of the rock garden onto the concrete patio. Managed to not quite clear the 3 inch rise to the concrete and fell with full force onto my rearend. I am still not tiny by any means but my tailbone does not have nearly as much padding as it did before my lower body lift. It hurt so bad that I just sat there for a couple of minutes before even trying to get up. I am still very sore but I don't think I broke anything. At least everything moves even tho bending really hurts.
Sprinklers are running this morning, we have quail and robins feeding at the bird feeders, tulips are in full bloom and TADA!! the lilac bush that I planted outside of my kitchen wndow 3 years ago is finallly filled with buds which soon will be fragrant flowers that I can see whenever I look outside! My perennial rock garden is starting to flll in. I clean it out good each spring and it takes it about a month to really get going good. I have two fountains in it now and I put a little solar light under each small tree. Should be oh so pretty in a few weeks.
Waiting for a sub call. Have already worked 2 days this week so it woulnd't hurt my feelings to NOT be called this morning. However, I remind myself that tho this doesn't pay that great it does go directly into my travel fund for guiltfree trips!
Hope you all have a nice, productive, positive, enjoying being alive day!

Good Morning Trish and OFF-
Well its almost noon and I haven't done any work today in my mind. I think I'm getting short timers attitude about this volunteer job. LOL!
Walked the trail with the ranger this morning to identify birds. The project leader has challenged the staff to walk the trail every day. Team with the most species of birds gets a prize. Tami, the ranger, is very competitive and she's my partner so we're walking. So far we've come up with 18 species. It's just nice to walk in the morning and listen to the birds. I have to remember that that is why I volunteer at a refuge so I can do things like that. I've asked if I can lead a birding 101 bird walk next year when I return.
I'm getting itchy to hit the road and I'm fighting panic attacks about departure. I get this everytime I make the transition from Maine to Texas and Texas to Maine. Reading everyone's posts about yard work is making me anxious to get back to Maine to my perenial gardens. Lots of leaves to rake and plants to split for the season. I have mostly hostas as I have too much shade in the yard to grown a lot of sun dependent perenials. I do have peonies and day lilies though. I feel so much better having lost all this weight that I am anxious to work in the yard again. So I have to be patient to get through these two weeks and get everything done that needs doing to put the RV in storage.
Vickie- I envy you being in the hill country with the wild flowers. How are those deer doing? You should be having new babies soon. Hang in there on sharing the place with your daughter. I know it must be frustrating. Perhaps some house rules for sharing the space. My dear friend in MA went through the same thing with her daughter. It was very frustrating for her. Maybe I should hook you two up.
Karen- Hope the tail bone is better soon. I fell Easter weekend loading the car. You're right about not having padding but at the same time the weight loss reduces the impact of the crash on the bones. I have lilacs in Maine. Three years ago my rent a teenager cut them all back to the ground thinking they were weeds. It was all I could do not to scream out loud when I saw what he had done. But he and I both learned an important life lesson, never assume that rent a teenager knows what a lilac bush looks like. Now we both review when he works in the yard and this year it will be me working in the yard!
Now I really must get some wrap up work done so I don't feel too guilty. Positive thoughts to all of you in need.

Its good to see some of the older (Meaning been here longer!) posting and hoping those who aren't around are all well and so busy with life doings that they cant get here! I know I don't post everyday. I got to meet Trish again last week! We didn't have long to enjoy but sure did enjoy what time we did have.
Finally today is the day we leave for vacation to Ga I have been looking forward to it for a long time. Just waiting for hubby to wake up so I can finish a few things in the house. If I even think of wiggling a toe in there he will be awake and he needs his sleep. We are heading out about 5 to his job because he has to finish help setting up something for just a couple hrs then we are hitting the road about midnight less traffic at night.
Hope everyone is enjoying spring,
prayers going up for all who need or want them. Good thoughts for those who don't believe in prayer
I'm off for two days ... which I need, after driving back on Sunday and working two days. Tired, have a headache, backache, lots of other aches. Still in jammies. Don't plan on doing anything today ... oh, I did run the dishwasher. I made a pot of coffee and am drinking that.
Talked to my brother about my mom and the mess in the bathroom. He is getting a new sink and vanity and a new high-boy toilet. He said it was fortunate he was there, otherwise it would have been a real mess. His hands are all cut up.
Nothing else going on ... good to see Karen back on here. Hope your tailbone is better. Pain is a ***** I live with it daily.
Have a good day.
