Monday Mania...SUP?
Good mornin' ya'll.
Yesterday my daughter sent me a picture of some elephant slippers. She wants me to crochet a blue pair and a grey pair. For a newborn. Those heads and trunks are gonna be mighty small! The picture she sent looks like they are for a toddler. Soooo, we all know what I will be doing all day. I'm glad I didn't already mail out the box with those camo hats I made for another friend.
Oh, and the guy I always make strawberry rhubarb pies for? Well, last time I was there I had a hard time finding rhubarb. So he is furiously freezing rhubarb. I guess I'll be making a trip to OR this summer!
I hope everyone near those tornadoes are safe!

Good morning Caroline. Well ,I am getting ready for chemo. The Doc sais my tumor in my chest is still shrinking. God is good to me, not sure why, but I am glad. I may see some of my grands graduate after all. Had a good weekend. My son took me shopping, and I made 17 jars of jam. Last years fruit. My DH went to Texas as my son contracted mono. He was in the hospital for 4 days. DH will be gone for 2 weeks. He left last Wed. I am enjoying my free time & my other son lives 1 1/2 miles away. Vicky, I know you miss your DH, but mine hovers way too much.
Looks like4 I may get 4 of my grands this summer. They are old enough to do for themselves so I should be ok.
Be good to yourselves today. Thinking of Margo & Nancy B today too.

Good Morning Off friends
I am sitting here in front of my computer room window enjoy a nice breeze its a bit cool but will warm up! This is camping weather to me cool sweet nights warm windy days. Just need some campgrounds to open!
I enjoyed my visit with Trish Fri! We didn't have a long visit but sure enjoyed what time we did have. We are heading out for Georgia on Thurs. We are really looking forward to our vacation, It did seem to take forever to get that motor home cleaned to my cleanliness standards! but its done now guess if you buy preowned you deal with that stuff,
Prayers going up daily for all friends here who face difficult situation be it health family stuff or anything else!

I had a great weekend, cleaning my house Saturday, having a belated birthday luncheon with a friend, going and getting my car from the collision shop where they replaced the front bumper after someone backed into my car at a stoplight last Saturday, then I went to visit a friend at the hospital, home for dinner and then to an AA meeting, yesterday Tony and I spent the day together, had a really nice time, he took me to lunch at our new favorite Italian place (Maggiano's) and he bought me a SiriusXM radio, after having it in the rental car, I decided I wanted one, so he bought the radio and I paid for the subscription for a year, I really wanted the car with the Sirius radio in it and maybe after I pay off my Corolla, I will look into a hybrid Ford Fusion, really enjoyed how that car handled and Ford has come a long way. . . we'll see. . . anyway, today finds me at work, had to be here at 7 today, due to a group of people arriving to our offices early for a 9 a.m. court hearing; I will make my noontime AA meeting and after work visit with my friend who is still in the hospital, then home to cook and relax a bit before bed, which considering how early my day started today, should be an early night. . .
Wishing you all the very best day possible and for anyone facing serious life challenges, I wish you the peace and strength to get through whatever that challenge is.

Lincoln, my grandson is eating an apple and coloring in a coloring book. I am about to clean the kitchen. I'll be babysitting this evening while my daughter goes to teach a college class. Hi Carolyn and my OFF family:
Quick checkin and then off to the shower. Long day in the car yesterday and today I feel like crap. I have serious pain down my left leg. Plus, I also woke up this morning coughing. Not feeling good at all.
Have to get dressed and get off to the dentist and get my crown ... hope the permanent one stays in. I need to go out and get some cat food, too. Juliette missed me; I missed her, too. Missed a lot of sleep last night. I'm very tired. Glad I should have Wednesday and Thursday off.

Glad to see so many folks checking in this morning!
Got hubby to the airport in Shreveport without incident yesterday. The big storm system they were predicting for us must have stalled or petered out. Got a little rain last night, but that's all, thank you Jesus.
Hubby called and was disappointed that he didn't get his upgrade to 1st class for the flight. He's a "million miler", and usually he gets a free upgrade to 1st class if there's a seat available. His company buys tickets in economy class only. That might not be such a big deal, but the flight from Atlanta to Dubai is 15 hours! He's going to be so tired and cramped when he gets there.
I have two big days ahead of me. It's time to decide what to pack and take with me to Hilltop. I also want to leave the house clean. And I have to deal with transferring anything I want/need from my big home computer to my laptop. So, lots to do to keep me busy while I wait to hear from Butch.
Nan, I hear you about the hovering husband! LOL! I hear that from lots of women whose husbands have retired, etc. I have to say, I would like to have the time with mine to develop that problem! Seems I just get used to having him home when he's gone again.
Talked to both of my girls yesterday. And they talked to each other. I think Chris might be as nervous about trying to live with me as I am about trying to live with her. We are all tiptoeing around the elephant in the living room. Or maybe it's the baby in the living room. I think we are all committed to doing what's best for Benny, so hopefully it will work out.
Well, my morning's flying by already. I'd better get busy.

Carolyn....you are just amazing. All the cooking, baking and crocheting you do all the time, I don't know how you do it!!
Nan....so happy to hear the tumor is shrinking....more prayers on the way!! I still keep Morgan in my prayers too.
All you ladies with husbands coming and going are blessed to just have a good one!! Sometimes I wish I had one but , then again I love being single.
I spent most of yesterday in bed or on the couch. My Fibro has been so bad. I don't ever remember it being this awful. The pain just doesn't let up. The weather is a huge factor. 70s one day and 40 the next...OUCH!
Well my ex SIL didn't end up going to jail. He got a big fine and I hope he learned something from it !! It could have been so much worse. He is in therapy and treatment right now. Wish I could explain more but I am not allowed to yet at this time.
Wishing you all a good day. It is so windy here I am afraid to go outside as I might get blown away!

I just got home from four days of camping!!!!! I had a great time. I needed to get away even though it was only about 25 miles from the house. We were going to go conoeing down the peace river but it was very shallow. I posted pictures of the peace river on facebook.

There is a beautiful pea**** that lives in the campground and he is very pretty and I got several shots of him with my camera. Ill download them on my computer later and post them.
The fly's were terrible there cause it it a very wooded area. but we survived.
I am leaving on a month long trip the end of may or the middle of may to Michigan and Illinois and Colorado. If I dont get a job. I have been interviewing but no hits yet.
