 Good Morning OFF Sisters,
I am up before the rest of the family, and just learned last night that my daughter has Wifi, so I can use my laptop, instead of their PC.  I prefer my laptop.

We had a great day Saturday.  Isabel went to a tea party at a friend's house.  All the girls from church were there.  Lincoln, Isabel and I painted magnets later.  Then, we all went to Smoky Bones for dinner.  It was yummo.

Today we are going to church, and then we'll see how the rest of the day goes.

Love and prayers to all.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning Trish and OFF buddies:

Your Saturday looks like a lot of fun.  My friends and I love tea parties.  Dressing up and eatig those dainty sandwiches is just my cup of tea (excuse the pun).

My granddaughter is spending the weekend with me, so I'm having a grand 'ole time.  Her mother (my son's ex-wife) dropped her off Friday night and we watched Phathom of the Opera -- her favorite show.  She knows all the songs from it and has even memorized some scenes.

Yesterday we had a henna hand decoration party.  It was hysterical.  She drew a really cute elephant on my left hand that curls its trunk around my index finger.   Can't wait to show it to my students on Monday.  Better yet will be the look on my principal's face.  He is a real practical joker and it will be fun to turn the tables on him.

She is still sleeping, probably till 11 or 12.  Then we are planning to see Mirror Mirror.  It should be fun.

Have a blessed Sunday ya'll!

Good mornin' ya'll.
Trish, I'm sure you are thrilled to be able to use your own computer. I very rarely even turn my computer on since I got my iPad.
Maria, grandkids are so much fun to have around. We have time and patience to enjoy them. Unfortunately, sometimes when our kids were small we were too busy working to just take a few hours to devote solely to the kids!
We still have our son and DIL's dogs. They took their trailer to the beach. Our grandson didn't go since we works on weekends. But he didn't want to have to deal with the dogs. At 18, after work he would rather hang with his friends then feed and play with dogs. Which means our son and DIL are able to have an entire weekend free from kids, dogs, housework, etc. they can enjoy each other!
Our daughter's soon to be ex told her he doesn't want to go to mediation. His attorney told him his fees would probably be between $10,000 and $20,000. If this drags out, our daughter's attorney fees will be about the same! They don't have that kinda cash up front, and most lawyers want to be paid up front, not wait. She did find out that our daughter is not obligated to pay him her half of her business in one lump sum. She can spread it out. That will tick him off. She may have to sell his Lotus and split the $ to pay attorneys. Or, he might have to sell his $12,000 Rolex!! Our daughter has a list of things she didn't want to bring up. Like she says, she can be a real bit*h if she has to. If he wants to fight dirty, she can fight dirtier! Her attorney says to wait to drop all of that on him until or if this all goes before a judge! What a mess divorce can be!
I will be enjoying another warm Sring day here in gorgeous NC!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Morning Trish and OFF family...WOW see some areas had some nasty tornado weather!!! Hope everyone is ok!!! I last heard there were 5 deaths? from these storms. Sad. Might have some nasty weather here yet not sure...depends on who you listen to I guess.

Went to VFW for bar bingo last night. Rick won but had to split with another winner. Had chances all night and the jackpot I waited for I do not know how many numbers to win and still I didn't win!!! Oh well I love playing. Next saturday its bingo and then they are having a sock hop! Looking forward to this one!!! Any ideas on what I can wear besides a poodle skirt?

Bought me a new pair of Gloria Vanderbilt jeans. Just like my old ones only they seem to be made different now. They fit me around the waist and hips...its under the butt area the legs are soo baggy I HATE it!!!!!!!! Looks like I have a baggy butt!!!!!! I do not understand it if they are the SAME style and brand why they do not fit like they should!!!!!! So I am thinking of taking them back and trying on others while still there!!! I want to show off my weight loss not hide it behind baggy ass jeans like these!!! So off I go soon to get some other type of jeans!!!

Not sure what we will do today but know it will be spent outside while its nice out...supposed to hit about 80* today...but there is chance of storms so have to play it by ear.

Thoughts and Prayers for all that need them!!!

Hi again Judy,

Have you tried pajama jeans?  They look just like regular jeans, fit snuggly around the butt and are very comfortable.  I'm  wearing mine to death.

Told my granddaughter that Anderson Cooper is Gloria Vanderbilt's son and she said "Gloria who?"  LOL.  Made me feel 105.

I love Sundays.  Could spend my whole day going back and forth with you guys on this forum, but must wake up Samantha and go see Mirror Mirror.

Bye!

Saw the pajama jeans and I do NOT like them at all...what I want is a jean that is "form" fitting I guess you would say. NOT bagging in the butt area at all nor in the legs...do not like the skinny leg jeans those are to tight on my legs...just want a normal pair of jeans that fit like the ones I wear now. Maybe I will go back to wearing mens jeans again if I can't find what I like. But thanks for the suggestion.

Hope the movie was good!

Good morning Trish, and all my OFF sistas!

Sitting here waiting for Butch to finish getting ready so we can go to the airport.  I hope his flight can get out of Shreveport before the bad weather hits.  Little flights can get cancelled easily.  It's just a puddle jumper over to Atlanta. I might wait at the airport with him this time, just to be sure his flight leaves the airport.

I'm not as sad and blue today as I was yesterday.  Ironically, it's always the day BEFORE he leaves that is the hardest for me to handle.  By the time it's actually time to go to the airport, I've usually managed to become stoic and accept the inevitable.

Anyway, we did go out to dinner last night and that was nice.  I have a lot of leftovers to eat the next couple of days.

So, I'm still planning to move myself down to Hilltop in a couple of days.  Oh, sistas, please pray for me, if you're so inclined.  Christie and I just do not have a good track record of being able to live together.  I'm really pretty nervous about it.  Well, no, if I'm being honest, I'm just plain SCARED about it.  It's crazy to be scared of your own child, isn't it?  But there it is.  She scares the poop out of me.  She can be so volatile and unpredicatable and she can get so angry.  But I have to try for Benny's sake.  So please pray that Chris and I can co-habitate together in peace and provide a stable loving home for little Benny.

Well, Butch says it's time to go, so I'd better close.  I already posted a long post on Nunini's thread today.  Hope everyone is doing well today.  Stay away from the tornados!  I have a good friend in Kansas who spent much of yesterday in her basement with her kids.  I can't imagine how nerve-wracking that must be!

Love you all!

So, today I have spent doing laundry, mopping floors, and cooking for the week.  I am going back to work tomorrow, so I will be coming back and forth to make sure DH is doing okay.  My daughter is coming up to make sure that he gets his eyedrops.  So, I am cooking a weeks worth of food so all I have to do is heat the food up.

DH is seeing a little light out of his surgical eye and he can see the shape of the TV.  We are cautiously optimistic that the cornea is going to work.  He has an appointment on Friday, so we will know for sure then.

I guess the stress of DH's surgery and running around the hospital and doing this and that burned more calories than I took in because I have lost four pounds.  My sister dropped by yesterday after we got home from the hospital and she told me I looked like I'd lost more weight.   I normally only weigh at the doctor's office, but I bought a scale for DH, so we could keep up with his weight loss, and so I weighed myself on it when I brought it home, and when my sister said I looked thinner, I jumped on and there it was, a four pound loss.

Well, the clothes are dry, so I need to go get the clothes out of the dryer, put the washer clothes in the dryer, and put the last load in the washer.   I really do like doing clothes…if I have time to fold and put them up and iron.   I want to do it all on the same day.

Well, here's hoping you all have a good rest of the day.
