Tuesday-things to say today!
Well, good morning, again everyone!
I'm up early. Can't go back to sleep once I wake up these days. Too much on my mind.
All my little chicks got safely home yesterday. Carrie called to say that Lulu was whining a lot. I guess she misses me. I certainly did miss her yesterday evening. She always sits in my lap on the couch or snuggles up to me in bed. Patty Kate (my other puppy) just moped around all day without her playmate. This is going to take some adjusting.
Chris and Benny finally made it back to Hiltop. A six-hour drive turned into seven, but you have to stop periodically and give a little fella a chance to stretch his legs. It's a lot to ask of a grown up to sit in a car for 6 hours straight. It's practically impossible to ask a squirmy energetic toddler to do so.
I tried to do a little more packing yesterday. I've just about got everything I'm going to box up boxed and ready to go to the new storage/metal building we had built last week. I think we are making a load on a the trailer today, so I wanted to get it all done. Just have a couple more boxes to finish this morning. It will be good to get all these boxes out of my house.
Hubby is still sleeping and the house is quiet, so I guess I should make use of this time to work on the checkbook a bit this morning. Lord knows it could use some help! Money is flowing out of here at an alarming rate!!! I'd better see what I can do with it all.

Twelve years ago I went from a 5,000 sp. ft. home with a huge storage shed out back to a two bedroom townhouse, and had to sell and/or give away a ton of stuff. Do you know what I miss most? Nothing... Seriously. Traveling light can be a heady experience.
The money issue is a sore subject with me. I write it down and it makes sense at the time, except it feels like my bank account is hemorrhaging...Oh, well. According to the Mayan calendar, the world is going to end on 12-21-12, so why worry about money?
The main thing is that your daughter and her baby are safe. Everything else can be worked out.

Thanks for the encouraging words, Maria! I've already donated several whole pickup loads of "stuff" to the local Women's Shelter here in town. They have a store where they sell second-hand items and clothing. It was fun to get rid of the too-big clothing. I had a little harder time getting rid of some of my household things. I had so much stuff in my kitchen and dining room! Good stuff, but I'm not going to have a formal dining room at the lakehouse.
Know anybody who needs a formal dining table??? JK! I hope whoever buys this house will buy my table, too.

Good morning Vicki & all to post. My chemo day was changed to Monday. That is a good thing. Now my weekends I should feel good when I have company.
Had a great weekend. My niece had set up a family reunion at the Grand Traverse Resort. A very fancy & the largest one in Traverse city. Only 20 minutes away from my home, so I could sleep at home. Ninety five people came. I will post a picture when I download them. Then they had a 40 anniversary surprise for my Dh and I. A video was made of some of our years together. It's going to take me days to get my energy back, but so worth it.

I know what you mean about the snow. I am visiting my daughter's in Perry, Michigan, outside of East Lansing, off Rt. 69, south of Owosso. I forgot to pack my down coat, and I had every intention of doing so too. Wacky weather.

Quiet in the house.... The Golden and the Beagle have been out and fed.... I'm drinking my protein coffee, ad getting ready for the plumber to come. Our ho****er tank is having a few issues!
Today we will be off to the city for a couple of appointments. I'm glad because being off work is getting hard for me! Surgeon says I can go back next week and do 8 hour shifts instead of 12 hours and no heavy lifting. It will be nice to get back!
