It's SATURDAY!!!!!!! WHAT'S HAPPENING??
Morning OFF family!
Had a surprise phone call yesterday from my boss. Wanted to know if we were interested in running another complex about 30 minutes away from where we are at now. She said it would be BOTH complexes and pay increases for us. Said to talk it over with Rick see what he thought. So we talked and just as we were making plans to go check it out today she called us back and said she found someone that would take it over and live on the sight. OK no problem. Told her if she still needed us to let us know. Seems the couple that were managers there just up and quit on her! No warning at all! OMG!! And at the first of the month also!! WOW!!! Sort of let down but in reality I am sure it would be to much to do. So happy things worked out for her.
Had some wild weather here in Ohio last night. Storms all over including tornado warnings. All went around us so that was good!!
Going to bar bingo tonight at the VFW. Not sure what I will make for my dish to pass. Something easy and cheap. :-)
Rick still suffering with his cold. Me, I am trying not to get it but I think I have it somewhat. YUCK!
Well time to get some breakfast and then figure out what to make for bingo.
Thoughts and Prayers for all that need them!!
HUGS
On my way to the shower, but just had to pop in here at OFF and say hi. Another really big day today. The steel building crew is coming to erect the new metal building down at the lakehouse today. Finally something we don't have to do ourselves! LOL!
Made a disastrous discovery yesterday. I bought all new hardware for updating my kitchen. New knobs, drawer pulls and HINGES for the cabinet doors in brushed satin nickel. Started taking the doors off the cabinets to change out the hinges and I bought the wrong damn kind! 51 sets of them! Back to Lowe's for the umpteenth jillion time--they did exchange them for me, but they didn't have enough of the right kind in stock. Only have to wait a couple of days for the rest to arrive, so it's okay. It's a very slow process changing everything out anyway.
Painter got started this week. First he power washed the outside of the house. Geez, it looks terrific! Then he started painting my outside porches and doors. Love that fresh paint! My curb appeal is going up!
So anybody here a multi millionaire this morning? Nope? Me neither. HA!
Okay, my time to play around on the computer is up. I'll check back in with you all tonight. Until then . . .
Love you all!
Quick run by from Owosso today. Just want to wish everyone a great weekend no matter what fills your days! We are off to find a bike. I cant walk for exercise and the weight gain is finally successfully going the other way so need some form of outdoor exercise and I enjoy bike riding.
Prayers for all who want or need them.
Judy, sounds like your boss has great confidence in the two of you. Congratulations.
Vickie, sounds like you are pretty handy around the house. I, also, had to learn to use tools years ago. I wanted stuff done around the house when I was married, and my husband had this allergy of tools. So, I taught myself.
Jo, let me know if we can get together while I am in Perry. I will be there two weeks, at least, in April, and probably again in May.
Me? My son invited me to New York to see a play and hang out with him. His treat. I was going to spend the night, but Utley didn't get a shot due in February, so he can't spend the night at Petsmart, which Chris offered to pay for. He is so generous.
I am off to shower, and get to the train station. It takes about an hour and a half to get to Manhattan from the train station.
Hugs,
Trish

Judy, even if it didn't work out, it must be great to know your boss thinks highly of both of you. It would probably have been a lot of extra work, but the extra $$$ would have been nice.
Jo, bike riding sounds like a lot of fun, a lot more fun than the Zumba torture I signed up for.
Trish - I'm so jealous! You get to pop over to Mahantan to see a play on short notice. What play is it? The Lion King is coming down to Miami next month, and saw Wicked last year, but that's it. Missed seeing Jersey Boys and now God knows when it will be down again, if ever.
I'm still at my Sat morning tutoring session, really more like babysitting teenagers while they work on their FCAT prep program. Boring. Last Saturday the Internet was out and I actually taught a reading passage. That was fun. One of the kids actually told me "You teach better than the computer."
At noon, I'll start heading to a nursing home to notarize a power of attorney for a resident. Note to self: make sure he is lucid. Then it's off to my son's for an afternoon at the Dade County Youth Fair with him, his wife, their son and my granddaughter. We're going to the fair because she turned 16 on Thursday and wants to celebrate it there. It is not my favorite thing to do on a hot South Florida afternoon, but it's what she wants to do for now -- there will be a Sweet 16 party this summer.
Hope you all have a great weekend.
Blessings,
Maria
We had some storms last night too ... happened while I was at work ... boy, you could hear the rain, then hail, pounding down on the roof. When I went home, there was still lightning.
Otherwise, not much happening. The big news was the Mega Millions ... everyone is talking about it. My mom and brother spent $10 on tickets. I'm not into it. I've never been lucky so I don't waste money on lottery tickets ... I'd rather waste it on something tangible.
Judy, glad your boss is so confident in your abilities.
There's this show on Animal Planet called "My Cat From Hell" ... it's awfully interesting. The one I was watching this morning had an unspayed cat. The guy who helps the people told the couple with their mean cat that the cat was hormonal and that was the problem. As soon as they had her fixed ... she was so much better. If only it was that easy!
Well, back to work tonight. Have a good day.

Not much going on today. Judy, I'm glad your boss is so happy with you.
I forgot to write a payment in my check registry. Bounced one check that cleared yesterday. I did my bank statements last night. Ran to the bank this morning but was too late. Cost me 34.00 for being overdrawn. Not happy with myself
Lots of paperwork to do for the new month. Used entire ink cartridges yesterday printing off April's host and guest specials. Ellen is out running errands so she will pick them up for me. So glad she feels well enough to do things now.
Happy day to everyone. Hugs, Mag
