Geez, I've been up since 6 a.m. thinking that somebody would start today's thread.  But since no one has, here goes . . .

Headed down to the lake house for another day of moving bricks, building walls, and blowing/burning leaves.

It's almost 11:00 here.  People must be sleeping in today.  I did.

I must get to my AA meeting this afternoon.  Come hell or high water.  I also have to make a stew for a family at church.  The wife had an ectopic pregnancy and had to have emergency surgery the night I was in the ER.  They had to take the fallopian tube.  Poor thing.  Her first baby and all.  My church is providing meals for them.

    Not much going on here. I have a doctor's appointment with my ortho surgeon. We will see what he has to say. I've had mild pain since I fell, but now it's worse.

     Ellen is still in bed so I don't know how she is doing today. I didn't hear her cough as much last night. That's good news.

Where the heck is everyone this time????

I cleaned the house most of the morning. I sure am glad that is done for another week!

I am proud of myself. In the last two months I have lost 17 pounds. I am back to basic's and it sure is working for me!!

My sinus' are kicking my butt....my whole face hurts. I see my doctor on Thursday. I am going to request a shot. The allergy meds aren't helping this year.

I went to a benefit on Sunday. I got a $90 tanning  package for $30...it is at the place I go to so why not!! I was happy about that!

 8 days post op and feeling better every day. So much better, in fact, that a girlfriend and I are going to see "the Hunger Games" today at the theater. I'll bring my protein water .....

After that I'd better get studying for my Emergency Nursing Certification Exam at the end of April.  Thankfully I'm off til then.

Congratulations BJ!

Glad to see you are doing so well post-op.  Saw The Hunger Games on Sunday and was stunned by how faithful the film is to the book.  They left out some minor characters and subplots, but the main story was intact and the special effects are awesome.

I do not recommend it for children and young teens though,  The PG-13 rating is very misleading, as there is a lot of VERY GRAPHIC violence.  It should be an R.  No sex or nudity, but the death scenes are extremely disturbing.  Adults can handle them, but not the kiddies.

May the WLS Fairy  sprinkle its fairy dust on your recovery.

Hi Vickie and my OFF family:

Had another awful day ... knee hurt, spent two sessions at the dentist trying to get this temporary crown put back in (it came out while eating spaghetti the second time), knee hurt like hell most of the night. At least I slept well until the phone rang at 11 a.m. ... and then I woke up with a headache.

Well, it's my Friday and I'm ready for a couple days off. They are doing a major reconstruction of an intersection I travel through. I went a different way to work, but forgot about it going home, so I had to cut through a parking lot to get around it. I'll try to remember tonight.

Anyway, good to see you all today. Hope you have a good day. My fibro is kicking my ass. Have a good day.

Evening Vic and OFF family!

Been so darn busy here trying to keep tenants happy that I am beat when I get home!! Now we had one call the cops because the roofers are making a mess while they are doing the new roofs!! Can you believe that??? I am just about frazzled at this event!! Happy that tonight should be the finish of the roofing job on that side!!!

Put a message out that a couple of the tenants are going to be collecting money for a BBQ sometime in June. Due to the fact that tenants did not stay long enough at the Christmas Party to do a 50/50 and have money in the kitty for a BBQ. Some are mad about this...ask me if I care?! If they do NOT want to donate toward the meat, plates, plasticware etc they don't have to and also do not have to come for the cookout!!! Nobody said they HAD to do any of it at all!! Just another group of fuddie duddies!!! Going to have a dejay and a good time for those that DO come!!! Lots of good food also!!! Just trying to make plans and getting shot down so soon...why do I try? Because I want to have some fun with/for my tenants!!!

OK change the subject...weather sure has changed since last week!! BRRRRRRRR from the 80's down to the 20's!!! BRRRRRRRRR

Had Phyllis and Jon here for the weekend and man we had a blast!!! Have not laughed so hard like that in a LONG time!!! Wish they didn't have to go so soon!!!

Time for the last long walk with Bandit so need to get going and also lock up the clubhouses.

Okay,
I do not know if this is going to work or not, so if it doesn't, I guess I will get back on my macpad. Anyway, today has ben one hell of a day. I have switched from our gym at school, which is about a mile from my office, to the gym in the student union--it is closer and the walk is fairly straight as opposed to down the hill and back up from the school gym. The student union isn't a full gym, but it has treadmills, weights, and other equipment. I just do not have time to spend walking to and from the gym. So, I walked over to the student union, signed in, got on one of the treadmills and began running and suddenly, I heard help me. I turned around and almost fell off the freaking treadmill and saw one of the students having trouble with her weights. I got off my machine, went over, and tried to lift the weights off of her chest, but I was not strong enough. I yelled help, and some man came running and he lifted the weights off with like one hand. The girl was crying, I was trying to keep her still, and someone called an ambulance. Apparently, she was trying to lift weights straight up and she had too many pounds and before she could get it away from her, it dropped to her chest.

Then, I was on my way back to my office, and some idiot had driven past the gate, apparently avoiding the sign that says, no through traffic, and the idiot was not going to stop for the students, and realizing that the students were not going to jump out of his way, he veered to the right and knocked over the mail box thing.

Back at my office, I picked up my coffee pot and for some freaking reason, the damn bottom broke off of the pot. Coffee went everywhere and my new carpet got soaked.

Then, my luck changed: Iwent to the coke mating to get a diet coke and I put my money in and jackpot, a **** load of quarters fell into my hands.
Other than that, my day has been just peachy.
