Happy Monday, what's up?

Hello, my OFF family:

I've been in pain all day. My left knee keeps giving out on me; that cortisone shot did absolutely no good. I went to work, but it was really difficult getting in there and then sitting all night (well, I did take a painkiller and that helped until much letter in the day).

Just as I was leaving, there were sirens, and firetrucks and police cars went whizzing by the office. Big fire just a few blocks east of the office. If I was younger and could still walk a bit better (and had a camera), I might have played reporter and taken some photos of the fire. But ... no camera, bad knees, in too much pain to deal with firefighters, cops, etc. So I went home.

Just realized I didn't post yesterday ... not much happened anyway. Have a good day and chat away.

Countdown to Vegas and ACMAs. And this morning....my glasses broke right down the middle! They are tri-focals. Although my distance vision is good (I don't need them for driving), I do need them for mid range, and close up! This morning I will go back where I got them and see if they can fit the lenses in new frames temporarily. I probably could use a new exam anyway. That will wait til I get back!
My daughter and DIL have always hated these frames. They say they are way too big. But I have had tiny frames with tri-focals and each viewing area is too small!
Soooooo, today I HAVE to go out. Our doorbell needs a new battery. Didn't realize it was broken til a neighbor said she had come by twice and we didn't answer the bell. I usually sit in the living room where I can see someone coming to the door. Only neighbors and salesmen ring the bell anyway. Everyone else just walks in. In the morning and evening I am in the family room with my DH watching TV. Our son and his family try to sneak in and surprise us. We usually hear their car door, or see the reflection of their car in the TV (it's a 62"). I tell them they are really gonna be surprised if they find Gramma and Grampa rolling around on the floor! Jim says that will mean one of us fell and the other one fell trying to get the other one up! Smart a**!!
BTW, my cousin and her DH are still in Nashville. As you know, he had another heart attack on his way from FL to IN. Well, he got a triple by-pass and is feeling a lot better! Hopefully they can get home to IN soon. Thanks for all your prayers they DO work!

    I know what you mean about the areas being too small on my lenses. There were no medium sized frames where I got my new glasses.    Mag   

 Good Morning Eileen, Caroline and those to follow,
I am at the pain center waiting for a friend who is getting a shot in her back. She insists on being put under for it. I get the same shots, but don't need the anesthesia. 

Later today, I am going to physical therapy. Gotta remember to change into gym clothes. 

Nothing else going on.

My weekend was ok, facing some serious decision making about the forward journey of my life.

Today has me at work, noontime AA meeting and a walk in the evening with Roxie girl.

     I'm sorry you are in so much pain, Eileen. It's definitely no fun.

     I'm really excited. I've had 2 catalog shows with Pampered Chef. Last night I booked my first cooking show. It's not until April 20th but it is set. I have 2 more potential bookings.

      Ellen seemed better last night. Not coughing as much as before. Of course, that's with cough syrup on board, but it's a started on the road to wellness.

I'm glad that Ellen seems to be doing better.  That's a real answer to prayer.  Hope she continues to improve.

I am interested in ordering something from Pampered Chef, but have to wait until I get back from Michigan, because I won't be here to receive any packages for most of April.

I went back to the place on got these glasses and they had the EXACT frames! I am soooo happy.
And I tried on some new dress pants at Walmart and fit into a 14! WooooHooo! So I have one more pair to wear. Our daughter gave me lots of tops, but only one pair of jeans and one pair of pants that is part of an outfit.

I really do enjoy reading the posts here ... Truly do sense a caring bunch!

Im 7 days post-op now ... Doing well , following the full fluid diet from the clinic.  Weighed myself this morning and am very happy ... 10 pounds down!  Trying to get my fluids and some protein in.  Feeling pretty good!!  Enjoying this time off work .... That will be back soon enough.
