I'm 60...

 Am I too old for the surgery?  My surgery date is apr 3 

I'm almost 65 and had my VSG a year ago. It was the best thing I have ever done for myself. Surgery should never be taken lightly, but I'm sure you have done all your research and now the nerves are kicking in. We all have had those same questions. There are a bunch of wonderful people here to help you and offer lots of support.

Follow what your doctor tells you and all will be OK. Wishing you a speedy recovery and a wonderful life a head of you. Keep us posted on your progress.

i had my RnY at 62 and am pushing 67 now.  No you are not old at all, certainly not to finally take control and live life as though you are still in early 50's.....GO FOR IT!

The time will come post-operatively when you feel years younger, as has been said, the weeks and days leading up to surgery can be full of fears and doubts. . .  I don't really know anyone, no matter their age, who felt sorry they did it. . .
