TGIF What's Happening?

Good Morning Everyone,
I can't sleep again.  Had such a good time at Bible study, I couldn't stop thinking about it when I got home.  I am waiting for my night meds to kick in.

Friday, I hope to get up in time for my morning meeting.  If not, I will make an evening meeting.  The rest of the day will have me walking Utley, riding my bike, and cleaning my apartment.

Another case of two of us posting at the same time. I hope you get some sleep, Trish. I am a zombie the next day if I forget my night meds and get no sleep. OR, if I forget and take my night meds too late. There is a fine window there.
Friday and the weather is grand again!
Son just called to say another dentist today, so no salad for him. That means I have no obligations for today.
I have put the afghan I DON'T like on hold, and started another one.
Our lawn guy was here yesterday and did a fantastic job clearing out between our fence and the neighbor's. Here you have to have a four foot easement between properties for fire department. A couple of years ago our son's family and I cleared it all out. Took us days! I don't think it had ever been done! This guy did it again and it looks great.
Our daughter speaks to a divorce lawyer today. A very expensive, very good lawyer. Her DH keeps calling her and begging her to come home. He has no idea he has basically hit the lottery!! He will find out some day next week, I suspect. Our daughter is doing nothing to try to hide or protect any of her assets or cash he doesn't know about. His lawyer would just find them. And she doesn't care! She won't be able to retire in 5 years like she planned, but she will do/pay/give up anything (except the kids) to be rid of him!! I can't blaim her.

Morning Trish, Carolyn, Those yet to arrive. . .

Happy Friday, I have a busy weekend ahead, beginning with after work tonight, going to meet up with a dear, old friend of mine, who I can't believe it, but I have not seen her in almost 3 years, so we're meeting up for dinner, just waiting on where, as she lives up in Hillsborough, NJ and I will be traveling up 95, so we're trying to find a nice place somewhere in between. . .  then tomorrow, weather permitting, I am going to take Roxie and travel down here, pick up my AA friend and go to that nice dog park I found last fall, so Roxie girl can have her fun, before that, I need to do some chores, get my nails done, think it's time for a pedicure as well and then I will head to Delaware for Roxie girl. . .  Sunday, Tony will be down and we'll have a really nice time, he want's me to make a reservation at Maggiano's, guess I'll have food for a week after that. . .lol

Life is good, people are reacting positively to some things I posted both here and on the PA Forum and I am happy to read it, because we can't have enough support as we go through life fighting the Obesity dragon. . .

You all have a wonderful day and I wish peace and strength to any going through the more serious of life's challenges and Carolyn, I applaud your daughter, with her attitude, she may be surprised at what the future holds for her. . .

 I am packing today.  I  leave tomorrow for a business trip to Arkansas.   I will be talking to a realtor about the possibility of selling one of my condos there.  I am hoping the market is good enough to get my money out of it.  I want to purchase a condo in St Augustine Florida.  My research tells me that a unit in St Augustine would possibly rent more than one in Hot springs Village.  It's not that far from Daytona and they get the race crowd plus the history buffs and the beach crowd.  I think it would be a better investment.  Laundry is done except what we were wearing yesterday so one more load tonight and it will be done.  thank God for color catchers.  I just throw all the bits and pieces in and don't worry about colors running on whites.  I hate it when I have one or two dark pieces and one or two light pieces.  this way all colors, undies and outerwear all go in together to make one load and I am done.

Not thinking clearly though...got up grabbed my meds and as soon as I swallowed realized I took my evening meds and not my morning ones.  A nano second sooner and I could have spit it out.  Then I took my correct meds.  Nothing major except one.  At night I take my allergy meds and stool softner that should not be a problem but I also take my coumadin.  Not good.  I  will skip tonight's meds and hope my INR is not affected.  Tested Wed. got results yesterday and all was great.  Guess one mishap in 4 years won't kill me.  Luckily my morning med is my thyroid.  Would not have like to over take that one.

Trish - I had my bible study last night as well.  Mine is more like a history lesson.  My teacher speaks and reads Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic( which was the local language spoken  by Jesus and his peers).  He also has a degree in theology.  He brings the Bible, the Septguent (sp?) and ancient texts by Josephus to class.  Going back to the original texts and comparing to the Bible is interesting.
It is facinating to see the original words and then see how they have been translated and mistranslated along the way.  Sometiimes just a single letter miscopied can make a difference in meaning.  One example is we read in the 10 commandments that "thou shalt not kill"  The correct translation is "  Thou shalt not murder"  There is a difference.  Anyway I always enjoy our lessons.

Grammy Lew - Glad you are starting a project you can enjoy.  Not fun doing something you feel obligated to do.  Much more fun when your heart is in it.

Good morning Trish and everyone....

I went tanning this morning and not a whole lot else. I am taking it easy today. Last night I had a horrible asthma attack. Thought I would be making a trip to the hospital. I finally got it under control. Scared the heck out of me and my guy.

Carolyn....I am glad your daughter is getting a good lawyer and getting that divorce started. Sounds like she should have left sooner. I wish her well.

    Sorry you didn't sleep well Trish. I was able to sleep 8 hours for the first time in a long time. Hope you are able to sleep well too.

    Pretty much forced my sister to go to the urgent care in town. It's pneumonia. She is on antibiotics and a cough syrup with codeine. Still feels no better but it's only been 14 hours. The doctor said she was also dehydrated and to drink as much as she can. She is to go back if not better in a couple days. It's been pretty stressful having her be so ill.

     having lunch with a couple of friends today. that will be nice. Where we are going doesn't have an outside area which is a shame since the weather has finally improved. Perfect weather for sitting outside.

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

Back to work today. Got up this morning with an IBS flare, but it passed quickly. Don't know what brought it on, but got it all out of me, then took a shower, got dressed and went to the post office, bank, CVS and grocery store ...dropped off my rent check early and now I don't have to think about that again.

We are under storm warnings here ... tornado warnings are on for Illinois, thunderstorms here. Sirens sounded, too.

Anyway, not much else happening. I'm still sleepy. I woke up sweating last night, started playing some solitaire on my iPad, fell asleep doing that .... woke up sweating. .... it's a cycle.

Hello all!

Long, stressful busy day around here.  Hubby and I are out of sorts with one another this evening.  I'm tired of him being sick; he's tired of being sick--end result?  We're tired of each other!  LOL!  Sort of.

We bought an outdoor building today.  Or at least we ordered one.  Supposed to be constructed next week, so we have a LOT of prep work to do on site before the construction crew arrives.  It's not exactly what we wanted, but the time constraints of hubby's work schedule forced some compromises.  I do think it will be okay in the end.  But hubby was NOT in the mood to be reasonable and compromise today.  

We were supposed to go to the movies tonight to see The Hunger Games.  I really want to go see this movie, but I don't think I feel very much like date night tonight.  I already told him I wasn't much in the mood to go out.  He promptly said he wasn't either.  Oh well, I guess we can go tomorrow night maybe.  

So, I'm done with all my complaining now.  Maybe I'll go dig in the dirt for awhile.  That always makes me feel better.
