Are you moving today?

When I began this journey, I knew that the surgery was not a cure, but a tool.  I also was very physically active, going to the gym regularly, swimming and walking.  Lately, for reasons beyong my control, the exercise has slacked.  So, following Laureen's lead on our food choice, I am starting an exercise thread.

Today, I plan to take Utley for a good walk as soon as my tummy settles down.  It will be at least 30 minutes.  I need to build up my strength for my two weeks with the Munchkins in April.

Hugs,
Trish

P.S.  I will report back on my success.

Yup, I will take my Roxie for a nice walk this evening when I get home, it's about all I can do at the moment, but movement is movement and walking is that. . .

Good for you Trish and Laureen. I've been slacking on my exercise on days I don't go to the gym. You've inspired me to get on my recumbant bike. I'll ride for 30 min. Also, it is good for the knee to keep it moving everyday. Thanks for the motivation.

Great Idea Sandra.  My walk with Utley was perfect.  Mild temp and the park was  full of daffodils in bloom.  It was a sea of yellow.  We must have been gone for about 40 minutes.

This is really a challenge for me

Had to give up my gym membership as my vertigo is really kicking my butt.  Did find a y that has a couple of classes that exercise sitting down.  I will be there tonight for a bible study so I guess I'll check it out.

I will clear off my clothes rack ( it is actually a recumbent bike)  and ride it.  Clearing it off should count  for something

Linda, Thanks for the chuckle. . .  I remember when my 750 treadmill was a clothes rack and I gave it to my son, after I had WLS and joined a gym.. .

If we can't be honest, then what's the point and I gotcha; my son actually uses the treadmill and had the thing you run on replaced from using it.  Some days this past year, I have wished the treadmill were still in my basement, where it last was, when I got tired of it being a clothes rack and I haven't seen the gym in a while, tried going back and my left hip, leg is not so great. . . falling apart at the seams it would seem. . .
