Morning Carla and all who follow. Sober 511 days and so proud of me.
Hubby and I have a date today to see "Casablanca". Gonna get dressed up and hold hands and have some fun.
Grateful for the AC since it has been very warm and with the needed down pour yesterday humid. Yoda really hates getting wet. Never had a dog who is so agains****er....he is a puddle jumper.
Feeling good and happy. Got 5 straight hours of sleep, up at 4 but ok with that.

I am in a tizzy this morning, so much to do and so little time. Headed to Vegas this evening, wish me luck (ha ha). I'll be missing in action for a few days, so keep up the positive attitudes and I'll catch my OFF buddies early next week.

Nice to see people this morning.
Yesterday I went and mailed another box of monkey baby stuff to the Momma of my new great grandson. I sent stuff in a little larger size, since everyone is buying newborn size.
Watching some DVR shows, with my green tea. I like 'Unforgettable', but I guess it's gonna be cancelled. Oh well.
I am back to my treadmill religiously. The pounds are coming off slowly. I am soooo happy. Checking back in my diary, I was this weight 18 months ago when I went to FL with my daughter. This trip to Vegas I want to be lighter!

Morning Carla and the rest of you OFFr people,
Let's see I'm here at work today, took Roxie for a walk this morning in the drizzle and even though my left side, from the hip to my mid-thigh is hurting, I'm glad we are having the kind of weather to take Roxie out for walks (we went last night too), she loves it so, she does a dance when say wanna go for a walk and heads to the couch because that's where I put on her gentle leader. Anyway, today is my 3rd Wednesday of the month Barix support group. I know a couple of the gals are celebrating their surgiversaries, one 3 years, another 5 and they are doing fabulously and then we will have our group breakout session where we discuss things as they relate to our weightloss journey, the WOWs, the struggles, the things we can do that we could not do before and so on, there are times I don't want to go, but after I've gone, the feeling is good and it is part of why I joined the leadership team, as a way of committing to being there whether I want to or not. . .
Well that's my day, off to do some work.
Hope you all have a wonderful day wherever you are and that the challenges you may be facing are met with a strength and peace that helps you get through it easier.

I'm so cold. 2 pair of socks, a sweatshirt, and hat. Still cold. It was 36 degrees when I got up this AM. Where is my beautiful spring time in the desert?
My sis, Ellen, is sick again or still. She has called off work yesterday and today. It's been about 6 weeks since she felt well. Dr. said it is viral and she has to tough it out.
I'm making an updated prayer/happy thoughts list. Send me what you want prayer for and if it is long term or short term situation.

I am asking for continual prayers for my grandson,Nic. He has incurable cancer and right now it is dormant. We pray it continues to stay that way!!
Nic was diagnosed with cancer at 3 years old....he will now be 19 next month. I am so proud of him and all his accomplishments. He is just finishing up his first year of college!!

Hi Carla and my OFF family:
Sunny and 80 degrees ... must be rain in the forecast because I have a headache. Workers are outside pounding on the buildings, making noise. They're working on the roofs all around mine, not mine. Plus the landscapers are here (there's not much grass to mow, but they do mow it).
Well, last night was interesting. I was in charge, doing the front page. We were going to have a main story about bugs ... skeeters mainly ... then we got news that there was a big fire ... three-four houses. There was a death, too ... one body found in a garage. That wound up not coming in until 11 p.m. (our deadline is 11:15 p.m.) ... so of course I was late. Man, after a week of getting done late with sports, I had hoped to be able to get done early. No such luck.
Plus, and here was the really sad story, there was this baby that was burned in a car fire. The father left the baby and his 4-year-old in the car when he went to drop off his father at home, then went to the bathroom. The 4-year-old was apparently playing with a lighter in the car and it caught something in the van on fire. Baby was burned over 80 percent of its body. Father tried to rescue, got the baby out, but burned his hands and arms very severely. Sad story.
I was up at 2:30, too, Carla ... then up at 4 because I started coughing ... had a bit of an asthma attack ... had to take some cough medicine to get back to sleep. Damn pollen, even with the windows closed.
Well, I'm off today, will probably run out later and pick up my new glasses. Have a good day ... watching some spring training baseball (it's the Yankees-Rays, but hey, it's baseball).

I then had to call the cable company to find out how to fix my cable box. I have about 20 minutes to get geared up for an appointment with the kidney specialist. My primary doc wants me to get checked out because of my blood work since December.

Good afternoon Carla and all my wonderful OFF friends.....
I was so overtired last night I went to bed at 11:00PM and slept until 11:00AM...I never do that. It was a long and very busy week so far.....plus last weekend....WOW !!
I went tanning and now I finally made it here. No big plans today. There is a meat raffle at the bar tonight but I am not sure I want to go or not. I may just say home and relax!
