Happy Wednesday
Good Afternoon OFF ers
Nothing exciting in my neck of the woods. Ran errands this morning, got blood drawn for INR count, now doing laundry. See what an adventureous life I lead. I will be going up to Hot Springs in a few days. Need to check on my condo there. Try to do that a couple of times a year but I have been lax the last few years. Need to make sure everything is in working order although the property management folks would get calls if anything was broken. Hope all is well you all ya'll.

Hello my OFF sistas!
We have had such a busy morning. This is my first chance to sit at the computer all day. Hubby had his checkup for his prostate cancer and his bladder cancer this morning. We got excellent news on both fronts. The bladder cancer is in full remission and the doctor says he doesn't think it will recur. He only needs to check it once a year now. The prostate cancer is also in remission, although we have to continue with 3 month checkups on that one. So hurray! And praise God!
But hubby is still suffering greatly with the stiff neck, so we also went to the chiropractor this morning. He got an adjustment and we go back on Friday for another check. He does seem to be moving a little easier this afternoon, so I hope he starts to feel some real relief soon.
Also, we had quite an anxious afternoon yesterday with hubby's blood sugar. It rose to 415 yesterday afternoon. Highest it has ever, ever been! He just started on those insulin injections night before last, and the nurse said they are slow acting, so she advised us to wait and check it again this morning. We did and it was down to 235--which is still too high, but much better than the 300's or 400's. I am quite concerned about his diabetes, but don't know what I can do except monitor his diet carefully and make sure he takes all his meds.
So I spent some time baking our weekly supply of gluten free bread yesterday afternoon. I made a loaf of sandwich bread and six hamburger buns. It was a miserable cold wet day anyway. A good day to stay inside and bake. Today, however, is gorgeous. Sunny and fairly warm again. Thank heavens.
Let's see, we went to the paint store today, too, and I got enough paint to start doing all my touch up painting. It's a challenge re-buying all the paint colors you bought 12 years ago, you know? I need to spackle and fill in the nail holes, then paint over all the little boo-boos that occur when you live in a house for 12 years.
Oh, and I had a pretty nice NSV this morning. Butch's doctor quite literally did a double take when he saw me this morning. He said he couldn't believe it was me! All the girls on his staff made a big fuss over the "new" me, too. Hubby tells me I look really skinny in my new jeans. All of that made me feel really good!
And I just about lost my good pearl and diamond ring this morning. I had to switch it to my middle finger to keep it on. Okay, the handwriting is on the wall. I have to have my rings re-sized.
Hope all of you are doing well. Love you all!

Good Evening to All,
Busy day - at the gym with my son at 7:30 am. We go 3 times a week before he goes to work. Then lots of errands to run. Tomorrow go to orthopedist to see about the pain in my knees. I'm sure surgery is in the near future. After losing all this weight I had hoped to avoid surgery. Didn't go through all this work to still be in pain. Also, didn't work all these years to not be able to enjoy retirement!
Hope everyone has a good evening.
Sandra
