Saturday Already....What's Up???
Been so busy and enjoying the beautiful weather...just not into being on the computer right now.
Not doing much right now except working on the recerts and taking walks around the complex to see what is happening. Talking to tenants and hearing stories about so and so etc...LOL
Had a tenant call me for help Thursday. Her BP was very high and I sat with her trying to talk her into calling 911. Tried to call her family but no answers. Finally got one of the aides to look at her and she agreed that we should call 911 for her. I called and they came. Took her BP and told her she should go in just to get that BP down! She agreed finally!!! Heard today she is at her sons on a new med for her BP.
Rick heard from his mom and his family is SUPPOSED to come see us tuesday. NOT holding my breath. Can you tell I am excited? HAHAHA
Well is 12:30 am and I am tired so off to bed I go.
Thoughts and Prayers for all that need them!!!

Not much going on here this weekend. I was going to go down to Plantation to go and seemy friend but decided not too. Gas prices sky rocketed this weekend to 3.85.
I wantedto go campingtonight but thereare no campingsites to behad anywhere in this stupid state. It seem all the snowbirds are taking them up in the federal and state camp grounds. I wish they would leave. They are takingup our spaces on our streets and highways and they cant drive!!!!! it is like aiming to get anywhere!!!!!
Time for my Coffee! Carla
Hi Carla, you know all those "snowbirds" do help your economy down there so be nice! And remember that you also travel to other states and take up "their" spaces...so they might feel the same way as you do now.
Gas here was up to $3.89 and now its down again to $3.77. Wish they would stop playing price wars and leave it alone!!!
Weather here has been so nice and I am loving it!! Feels good to be outside with no coat on!!!
Enjoy your weekend. I know I am! Have a dinner, bar bingo and then the band plays tonight all at the VFW!

I can't get over how much food prices have gone up too. Basics are about all I can afford now. I won't go off on my soap box today... sigh.....
I went in for my B-12 shot and was weighed. I lost a few pounds which makes me happy.
Have a fun day
Millie
Judy and Carla, hi. My parent's were snowbirds but they went to South Padre Island in TX. One year the residents down there had an article that the snowbirds were a nuisance. Dad and all his snowbird friends went to banks and bought $2 bills and everytime they bought something they used them to prove their point that they do contribute to the economy. But Carla, I can see your point, too. The state a federal parks should accomodate 'locals' too. And yep, some of those old folks driving huge multi thousand $ rigs can be mighty scarey.
Went and got my grandson in SC. It was a big screwed up mess. He called to tell me the name of the place they were playing. I pulled off the freeway to call the school to get directions. They referred me to a coach. Called him and he gave me directions. Take X road then turn left on Y drive. Got a little closer, pulled off again and put the intersection in my GPS. They do NOT intersect. Thrashed around awhile finding the X road! Finally stopped at a place and asked directions. She pointed me right. Meanwhile grandson had called many times wondering where I was. Daughter had called on Wed. that his game was 5:30 not 4:30 as first reported. Nope. His game was 4:30. So, instead of being 10 min late I was 70 min late. Luckily, the bus was still there cause they were playing the 5:30 game. Driving home was easy peesy. Clear night, just enough traffic, music and talking to keep me awake. I have had a tendency to fall asleep while driving if I am on a long drive on a deserted highway at night alone. My daughter kept texting her son to keep me awake. He finally convinced her I was fine!
My cousin and her DH drove to see his children in FL. He is quite frail and wanted to make the last trip. Marlene drove. While there he had a heart attack and was in hospital a couple weeks. Doctors released him to go home to IN. Marlene's son flew down to drive them back. They made it to Nashville and Dan is back in the hospital. It isn't looking good. They are all so happy he got to see all his kids and grandkids, but it doesn't look like he'll make it home to see all their friends there. Poor Marlene is a wreck. It must be very scarey thinking a loved one may die in a strange city and neither one of them have much of a support system. I told her I could drive there in a few hours if she needs me. She has said no, but I have a bag packed. She has her son, but she may need another shoulder!
Our NC grandson and 2 of his friends came to wake Blaine up to see if he wanted to go watch a game at ECU. Blaine declined since he had been up most of the night playing video games. He just got up and had some cereal that will hold him till he has his shower and I fix him sausage, eggs and toast.
I guess that's it. I've been a chatty Cathy again today. Sorry.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
There's nothing new in my life, except the weight loss continues.
I have 3 friends that I meet annually in Vegas.. girls weekend in Vegas! It is usually the first weekend in April, but.. I have another friend that is getting married on March 23 in Vegas, so we're going early to attend the wedding! This is going to be so much fun, Elvis is going to walk her down the aisle. We will have a blast.
With the upcoming trip, I should get back to work.
Love my OFF, blessings to you and yours.

Got a funny hubby story to tell this morning. Judy, I saw you posted on FB that Rick was up cooking you breakfast. Well, Butch was up cooking me breakfast, too. Pretty soon he brings me a bowl. I say, "What's this?" He says, "Grits and poached egg--your favorite."
Mmmmm, I take a bite and promptly gag. After swallowing, I smile and say, "Honey, what did you put in this?" OMG. He put ONION and GARLIC in the grits!!! Gag a maggot! Bleh! I couldn't eat it. I'm now having a bowl of cereal and strawberry yogurt. Hubby ate his bowl of grits, but I think it was more out of defiance than anything else! LOL!
Gorgeous spring weather here right now. Really loving having the windows open all day and night. Also really loving the break on the electric bill! No AC = more money in my pocket! Which I plan to go spend at Lowe's this morning. So I'd better get off this computer and into the shower pretty quick.
Love you all!
