Hi Trish and OFF to follow,

I have about 12 things to do today. It will be more difficult because I'm feeling ill. Sore throat, bad productive cough, stuffy head, and right ear ache.

Hope everyone has a good day.  How do we get people to come back and start posting again? There are so many I miss.

Good morning Trish and everyone.....

This is crazy....where is everyone.....I am usually the really late one.  Hope you all come back soon!!

My stalker is still stalking! He got a good message from a friend of mine and yesterday he did back off some. In the mean time I am being very careful !!!!

Can't wait for tomorrow....St Patty's Day!!! There is a little town here that only has a church and a bar. They bar throws the best St Patty's Party ever. I have been going for years. What a BLAST!! There is a parade....about 100 entries so far. Last year about 4,000 people attended. They have a short road to go down so they go one way and back again the other way. They give out all kinds of things!! I am all ready to dress green....hair and all !!!

I had an appointment this morning, then I tanned and went to pick up eyeliner....couldn't believe I was out....oh well....wish I had the nerve to have eyeliner tattooed on...LOL.

Wishing you all a beautiful sunshiny day!! Prayers as always for so many in need.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

I got about six boxes unpacked yesterday; I'm feeling it today. Plus, four loads of laundry, took garbage to the Dumpster and in between, watched hoops all day. I slept OK last night, although I still kept waking up sweating ... at least I went back to sleep right away. Oh, and I finished my taxes. So I was busy.

Anyway, not much else going on. Off to work tonight. It will be busy ... two sports sections to handle, with lots of late stories (I think Notre Dame is playing late tonight). Plus the state boys tournament. Hopefully, that will be it.

Have a good day. Hope Trish and Mag are feeling better.

Hello Trish and Everyone!

Today is almost over for me work wise.  Mopping up on some files and getting ready to print a slew of pretty/sexy labels!

Last night and this morning I rescued two mud turtles from the road.  They will use them for education at one of the Refuge events and then release them on the refuge.  They are mud turtles.   They give out some musky odor when provoked so I am treating them gently.  The event coming up is Marsh Madness.  It will be in the 31st.  They're having a critter tent, craft tent, kayaking, fishing demonstrations, water retreiver demonstations, etc...  I am wearing butterfly wings and sitting in a 9 x 13 screen tent with 4 dozen butterflies.  We'll give out instructions for making butterfly houses for your gardens.

Tonight the volunteers are having a potluck St. Patty's dinner.  We have a new volunteer who arrived today so it will be an opportunity to meet him.  Tomorrow I am going bird watching with the Park Ranger.  I'm going to bail out of bed in the early morning and chase around looking for birds.  The rest of the weekend I plan to veg and clean out my RV.

Connie - Glad to hear that you are being vigilant regarding the stalker.  I suggest always carrying your cellphone and pretending to be talking on it all the time.

Trish - Hope you are feeling better soon.  You've had a long winter.

Eileen- Sorry you're so sore from the unpacking.  It will be over soon and that your aches fade away soon.

Nan-  Good to see you posting even if it is brief.  Take advantage of the high and ride the low of chemo.  You are in my thoughts.

Not much else is new here.  Spring is springing and the pollen count is driving me nuts.  I'm living on allergy pills.  About to retire the flannel sheets this weekend I think as the highs are in the upper 70's most days.  Just as soon as I do that we'll have a cold front!

Have a great weekend everyone.

Hello sweet sistas!

I'm tired, dirty and my back is sore, but I have bush hogged all the pastures today.  First time each spring is always the hardest!

DH made it home just fine on Wednesday.  I sure was happy to see him.  But I caught a headache on the drive back from Shreveport and I had to sleep most of the afternoon away, trying to get rid of it.

Then yesterday we went down to the lakehouse at Sam Rayburn.  Butch's brother and his wife drove in from Lafayette and they brought crawfish.  So we had dinner with them last night and spent the night at the lake.  No computer at that lakehouse.  Cindi, I thought of you and the crawfish!  They just are not my favorite.  I mostly ate the corn and potatoes, and I brought a cucumber salad and a fruit salad.  Maybe ate 5 or 6 crawfish total.  They just don't do it for me.

Not sure what we'll be doing tomorrow, but it's a sure bet we'll be busy all day.  Our to-do list is miles long!  It's hard keeping hubby on task without ******g him off!  He wants to do what he wants to do--which is mainly putter around in the yard.  I have to smile a LOT when I remind him to hang this light fixture or fix this trim, etc.  Puttering in the yard is NOT going to get this house ready to sell!

Well, I'm off to shower and then cook a bite of dinner.  Going to fix pork chops, baby fingerling potatoes and asparagus for supper tonight.  Sounds delicious.  I just wish someone else would cook it!  LOL!

Love you all!
