Good mornin' ya'll.
Nothin' happenin' here today except sunshine and warm weather.
We hired a new lawn care guy this year and yesterday was his first day. He says it's the earliest he has ever started. I think we're gonna like this guy. He does it all himself. The last service had a bunch of different employees and you never knew which ones would be here. If you asked about something in our contract, like fertilizing or shrub trimming they looked at us like we were speaking a foreign language. Then we'd call the office, they'd say it should have been on the guys schedule. We also paid a year in advance last time. This guy we're paying each time. And he is willing to do extra things, for a decent price.
Today I'll finish that second funky crocet hat my daughter wants. Tomorrow I drive to SC to watch her son play soccer then bring him here for the weekend. I hope there is no rain. I am not fond of driving in the dark, but in the dark with rain? Uh, uh!
I'm still doing very well on this new diet, even though I am getting bored with it. I have ordered the Reader's Digest book, that supposedly also helps to shed FAT not just weight. I have to do something since this dam* sleeve has never worked, even after an extra tweek or tightening. I sure wish I had my band back, but that ship has saled.
BUT IBM is up over $200, so that makes me very happy. Only down side, my dividend reinvestment buys less stock and if I sell any I will have a HUGE capital gains tax to pay. But I can dream, and I know I have that as a back up if my DH goes before I do and my income gets cut by 2/3s.
Man, I was chatty today. Sorry girls. Gotta get moving.
Everyone have a fantastic day.

Good morning Grammylew and OFF-

Partly cloudy day here on upper Texas Coast.  Humidity levels are high.  The towels I use a****er fitness class are not drying overnight without the assistance of my electric radiator heater which is not needed.  Almost time to shed the flannel sheets and move back to cotton.

Major turtle traffic on the roadways this week.  Must be because of the 5 inches of rain we got over the weekend and the warm weather.  I do my best to dodge them or straddle them while driving.  I've actually stopped a couple of times and moved the little critters off the road.  Note to all of you, when relocating a turtle off the road, take it to the side of the road that its head is pointing at.  That's where its headed to probably lay eggs.  Put it on the wrong side of the road and it will just head back into the road.

Waiting to hear about the memorial service for my friend who passed away Monday.  He had been in kidney failure for many years and had refused dialysis.  Frank was living at a VA hospice center for the past year after the doctors told him he only had about 2 weeks to live.  See what those doctors know.  I plan to fly to North Carolina for the service and then return here to Texas for finish my last 6-7 weeks before heading to Maine.

Several people have commented this week that I look like I've lost more weight.  On the scales I haven't lost a lot more but apparently the water fitness and yoga are paying dividends and things are shifting around.  I just got a new bottom half to my bathing suit and a size smaller.  It was falling off during jumping jacks last night, so I guess I'll have to go one more size smaller!

Not much else is new in this area.  Spring is definately here.  The trees are leafing out and the bushes are blooming.  My allergies are giving me fits but I'll survive.

Positive thoughts to all of you in need.

Hi Carolyn and my OFF family:

Gee, there's hardly anyone on here. Where is everyone?

I had trouble sleeping again last night; I'd get sleepy, nod off for 10 minutes, wake up sweating, read or something, nod off, wake up sweating ... it was maddening. Finally went to sleep for good at 2 a.m. and got up at 9. I had to turn on a fan. Man, I miss the ceiling fans I had everywhere else I've lived in the past 10 years.

I need to get out of my PJs and start laundry. I did get one thing done yesterday ... took out garbage. Today, I've run the dishwasher. I can't be a slug all day today. That's all there is to it.

Well, that's all that's going on with me. My brother has an offer on a job at a hotel and an interview Friday for a FT job at a bank. Wish him luck. He sure needs a break. He's been out of work for more than two years.

NCAA basketball today ... all day ... but I will get something else done around here. Have a good day.

 Good Morning Caroline and OFF,
I am just waking up, after having spent most of the night in the ER.  I was having trouble breathing, and have been on antibiotics for a week.  They did all the tests, and discharged me.  No pneumonia, and no blood clot.  So, I have a follow up appointment with my PCP tomorrow morning.  Now, I have to call my hematologist about my Coumadin level in my blood.

Today, I am taking it easy.  I feel like crap, and am not doing much.

Have a blessed day.

Hugs,
Trish

Hello Grammylew, Cindi, Eileen and all to follow,

Nothing much is happening around here. I'm not sleeping as well as I would like, but no big deal. See my PNP today. He won't be happy with my lack of compliance. I am just soooo tired of taking handfuls of meds. This break from meds (and reality) is lasting longer than ever before. Also not eating properly. Please pray that I will be able to do what is best for my health and sanity.
My kitty, Bela, is not feeling well today. Hope it is just a 24 hour bug or indigestion.  His meows sound so pitiful. Like he wants me to do something to help. I'll call the vet tomorrow if he hasn't improved.
       Hugs,    Mag

we had to go to michael's dr this morning for blood draw-his coumadin level was off last time; went to walmart and then to the new pain clinic for him to request his pprwork from michigan-the new place won't even schedule him til after they review his old records.
came home and had quick lunch then took him to the cancer center for a support group mtg for caregivers- he was the only in attendance . his anxiety is killing me; not to mention what it is doing to him!

came home at 4 and napped- too warm in the bedroom and no cieling fan- refuse to turn AC on in march!!! will drag out the box fans!

today is the last day of steroids til next round of chemo and i am not looking fwd to the next few days- they are not fun coming off these things!

i applied for forebearance on my student loans and was denied- will appeal--or call--they only gave a spot for disabled -not cancer-i hate to use the cancer card but i may have to...with being unemployed and recieving less than $200 a month in pension  and having cancer there should be deferment- i think that is the problem i think this was not deferment?-anyhow- should be something for me-otherwise i start paying in june- i doubt i'll get back to school before fall--need to get working again first!!!! so that didn't sit well with me!

bought our corned beef today-yummo!!!!!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Hi OFF family...good evening.
I'm at work, I did read everyone's note. Prayers and hugs to all in need.

Well this weather here in Michigan gets a 10!!!!!!!!!! I sat out on my deck for 2 days in a row and now I'm tan all ready. In March. Oh yeah I even spied a mosquito! Big fat Robins singing and the Blue-jays fighting at the bird feeder. My outside kitties were enjoying the sunshine and watching the birdies. My dogs were slugs and just laying on the deck with me.

Tomorrow's my day off and I plan to sit again on the deck and enjoy the sunshine. I made the mistake again to vacuum and my tummy aches now. I have a hot pad on it now. Will take a pain med when I get home. Hugs Debbie
