G'day EIleen and my OFF sistas!

DLST has my schedule all turned upside down this week.  Since I don't have to be up at any certain time, I just sleep until I wake up.  So far, I don't wake up until after 10 a.m.!  I may have to start setting my alarm until my internal clock adjusts again..

I am having some pretty nice WL victories right now.  This morning I got on the scale and I broke through to the 170's!  Whoop!  Just a few more pounds to the 100 lbs gone goal line!  Also, yesterday I was doing a major purge in my closet and I found a pair of size 14 chinos with the tags still on them.  I tried them on and they fit!!!  I couldn't believe it!

I got rid of all my big winter clothes yesterday.  Most of them were size XL or bigger.  I figure if I didn't wear them THIS winter, there's no way I'll want to wear them NEXT winter.  It hurt me to get rid of some of them.  I had some nice things.  But I just donated it all to the Women's Shelter.  Better to just get rid of it.  And now my closet is completely purged of all my fat clothes.  This is scary and fun all at the same time.

I made the most delicious soup for supper last night.  It's a veggie soup made from beans and kale.  I am new to kale, but I like it.  Only problem is it made a GALLON of soup, and I can only eat one cup at a time.  Does anyone know if i can freeze cooked kale?  I hope it doesn't turn mushy.

So, my sweet husband is somewhere high in the sky on a plane right now, circumnavigating the globe.  Should get into Atlanta around 6 a.m. tomorrow morning, and then I'll pick him up in Shreveport around 10:30 a.m.  I can't wait to see him!

(And I can't wait for him to see me.  I've lost 5-6 pounds while he's been gone and dropped a dress size!  Woot!)

Lots to do today, so I'd better get going.  Love you all!

Vickie, I love your energy and joy over your weight-loss victories. How I remember those! I miss the energy. I remember the September after my surgery, I had so much energy ... then about six months later, it disappeared. I have never been a high energy person, so having that energy surge was amazing. Now I have no energy.

Don't know anything about kale. I think it's something my friend Rox grows and eats a lot of.

Have a good time with your sweetie.

Eileen,

One of the worst things about becoming so heavy was the way it sapped my energy!  I hated it.  I've always been a get up and get 'er done type of person.  When I got so obese, I would make all the same plans for the day, but then I wasn't able to carry them out.  About all I could do was sit and eat.  Not a good feeling at all.

I am so much happier now that I can make a list in the morning and have everything ticked off by the end of the day!

I do have to tell you, though, going gluten free has made a tremendous difference in my energy level and my snack attacks.  I still crave a bite of something sweet every day--guess I always will--but the constant snacking and nibbling throughout the day has just about stopped.  You should try gluten free for one month and see if it helps you.  It sure did help me.

Good evening OFF family, just bringing up the rear once again.
Work is busy so this will be short but I did read everyone responses.
Yep, Connie please be careful....Eileen hope you got a nap in! Ugh.

The weather here in Michigan is beautiful, it's suppose to be 70 tomorrow. Yippee!

Still dealing with pain from adhesion's and I go see my internist next month with lab work.
I'm sure surgery is in my future. And like Nancy B. I don't bounce back like I once did. But I will survive and get through it again.

I went for a little walk today but I need to push myself more.
Take care everyone. Hugs and prayers for all in need. Debbie
