Good morning all of my OFFs,

I've been missing in action, but that four letter word, work has been requiring a lot of my time.  I was in NH earlier in the week, there was snow on the ground and it was 65, go figure.Eating while traveling at this early stage is difficult.  I was delayed at LaGuardia for over 2 hours.  I had stashed single pack almonds and beef jerky in my bag, so I tried to get in the protein.

I am headed to the coast for a couple of days, too much going on back here to stay away too long.

I went shopping for the first time since surgery.  I am glad I decided to try on the clothes, it really does matter who makes them and how they're cut!  I have a couple of business meetings coming up in the next few days, so I will have to bite the dust and purchase at least one business suit in this size.I am thinking that I will get a nice suit and have it taken in.

I have got to get my taxes ready for the CPA on top of all this work.  So that's a signal to say, have a great week and I'll drop in when I can.

Prayers, hugs and energy to everyone.

Linda

Good Morning Carla and OFF,
I set my alarm clock before going to bed last night.  Changed my living room and microwave clocks this morning.  Now for my watch.

I am not able to get to church this morning.  I have had a fever since Thursday, and need to lay low today.  Not sure if it is the sinus infection, or something else.

Have a blessed day.

Hugs,
Trish

Good Morning Carla and OFF-

I went to bed early last night and got up late this morning.    Its another rainy day in east Texas today.  I won't complain because I know they need the drought relief.

Today will be a lazy day.  Have to do my isometric exercises for my neck and back.  Currently knitting a new scarf pattern.  It's a little confusing but just one type of stitch, knit.  It's called the wave scarf.

Carla congrats on the new camera.  I am currently waiting for a battery charger to arrive for my camera.  The charger is somewhere in this RV but I cannot seem to find it.  I have photos to download but can't do it without battery.  Although my new laptop has a universal card reader, maybe I'll try that.

Starting to stress out about the transition back to Maine for summer.  I don't leave until the end of April, but I'm thinking about that.  I have several short trips to take before leaving and we have several events at the Refuge that I will participate in.  Funny how the stressing brings up the head hunger. Gotta get my mind around this transition and that it's okay to leave the project incomplete.

This morning on CBS Sunday Morning they had a segment about lack of adequate sleep causing weight gain.  Apparently there is a brain chemical that is released in sleep that assists the stomach in telling you your satiated.  Interesting stuff.

This afternoon I have been invited to a crawfish boil.  One of the Refuge staff has 70 acres that they harvest crawfish on in the spring.  I've never eaten crawfish so it will be interesting to have a new life experience.

I had several NSV victories last week.  I was able to do sun salutations in Yoga without much problem.  I sat on the floor to do filing, something a year ago I couldn't even get on the floor.  I've had to order new bathing suits because my bottoms slip off when we do jumping jacks in the pool.  What a difference 9 months make.

Positive thoughts to all of you who need them.

Morning Carla and OFF family!!!

Well its a beautiful day here so far!!! 50* and supposed to hit high 60's!!! All week it supposed to warm up even more!!! I WILL take it!!!! Going to grill some steak and maybe some potatoes and onion today. OMG that sounds so good!!!!!

Went to the VFW laast night for the spaghetti dinner and Bar Bingo. Spaghetti did what I expected it to do...make me feel sick! Oh well. We bought one dinner and shared it. It was huge and we still had left overs!!! Then Bingo...I WON!!! $101.00!!!!!!!!!! I also had a chance for the jackpot and that was for $427.00!!! But I didn't win that one...I am happy with the $101.00!!!! Now we can have the oil changed in the truck and car this week!!! PLUS have fun money!!! :-)

Guess our maintance guy was mouthing off to Rick after I walked away. AGAIN. When Rick came outside when we were leaving he looked pissed! After we got home he told me what happened and said IF he starts running his mouth come monday he is going to be fired for sure this time!!! What was he saying? Told Rick that I am sitting in the office doing NOTHING while HE busts his ass all day!!!! Excuse me???????? Yeah he has been running his mouth to anyone that will listen and we were told IF he did it again he can be fired!!! Gee if I am sitting in the office all day doing nothing how are all these recerts getting done? Who is showing the apartments? Who is filling out paperwork for these apartments to be rented? The list goes on and on....Sorry for venting but I have to get it off my chest! This guy has been a pain ever since we took over. He was offered this job but said NO! This guy is a FOLLOWER NOT A LEADER!!! OK enough said.

My goodness I am sitting here when I should be doing laundry or dishes...best get going while I am in the mood....LOL

OH!!! I found out that you should NOT fall asleep with an open bottle of water in your hand!!! Yes I got a rude awakening about 3:30 this morning!!! YIKES!!!! LOL

Thoughts and Prayers for all that need them!!!

Good morning Carla and my OFF sistas!

Rain, rain and more rain.  We go from feast to famine and back again around here.  It's been raining for the last 3 days and looks to continue for the next 3 days.  But, like Cindi, I try to be happy about it.  The lakes and rivers are filling back up again and the ground is soaking it all in.  Hold on tight for the next drought!

Sitting here eating a bowl of oatmeal waiting for my phone call from Butch in Saudi.  Last one thi****ch!  He should be home on Wednesday.  I think the time change must have things a little screwed up.  It's hard enough for me to figure the time difference between here and Saudi anyway.  Throw in DLST and I'm sunk!  LOL!

So, I'm home again this morning.  When I got to Waco yesterday afternoon, Carrie just wasn't feeling well and she didn't want to go shopping for a new mattress set.  So I gathered up the puppies and came on home.  300 miles and 6 hours driving in the pouring rain yesterday.  Fun, fun.  But since it's also raining this morning, I'm glad I got it all behind me yesterday.  Today is a PJ and crochet day at home.

My mother is driving me bats.  She's 83 and really pretty healthy, but lately she's begun to be afraid of every little thing, and this includes being afraid for ME.  She called twice yesterday and through a series of mishaps, I didn't find her messages until about 11 p.m. last night.  The last message sounded absolutely neurotic ("you're scaring me!"), so I called her just as soon as my eyes opened this morning.  She was just getting ready to drive out here because she just knew I was lying out here dead or injured or something.  It doesn't matter that she talked to me just the day before.  If she calls and I don't pick up, she panics.

What to do, what to do?  I love her dearly, but I feel like she's trying to smother me.  Or, more likely, she's just projecting her own fears about falling or dying onto me.  I try to be loving and patient with her.  Any suggestions?

I am reading The Hunger Games trilogy.  OMG.  Really good.  I didn't expect it to be so compelling.  I was expecting another hyped up young adult series like the Twilight Saga (which, imho, is too stupid for belief), but I am really enjoying The Hunger Games.

Well, I'm off to crochet some more while waiting for the phone to ring.  I wish you all a peaceful and pleasant Sunday.

Love you all!

Margo, call your landlord REPORT the dogs running around....IF you get nothing done, call the dog pound or police! It IS against the law to have your dog running around even on private property!!! This place you live sounds like a dump and not caring for you the way it should be...here I can turn ***** on a dime if they do not listen to me after the first/second time!!! Another reason my bosses love how I take care of things!!!

And you bet your sweet pa-toot I WILL have that Smile ;-) tomorrow IF he runs his mouth again!!!!

Hope this chemo works wonders for you!!! Prayers on-going or you!!!
