Saturday Morning WHAT's UP?????????
Hi my Off peeps,
Plans keep changing on this TX trip. Leaving this after noon or first thing in am. I'm more a night person than day person. Less traffic and I'm usually wide awake. Ellen said I should stop in El Paso (Too lazy to look up spelling.) tonight as there in nothing for a long time . I'll send you a PM right after I'm done here, Vickie. I need to be home for my PT on Monday. I don't think Steve is happy with my trip. He's the one that has to evaluate me again to get Medicare to pay for this treatment. Oh well, that's his job. I was going to quit it. I felt like I could do aright without PT. Then I almost fell 2 times yesterday.
Other than that life is good. Doing laundry, setting up meds for the trip. There is something else, but I can't remember what. Oh, packing would be good. lol
May good things come your way today. God bless and keep you safe Mag

Good Morning Judy and OFF,
I wanted to attend a support group today, but I keep having to run to the bathroom. It's either feast or famine with that.
I also need to get my hair cut. It has become a rat's nest, and it is too long. I really wanted to do it during the week, but put it off. Now, it is just too much for me.
I'd also like to get to an AA meeting.
Other than that, I have no particular plans. I hope everyone has a blessed day.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Good morning everyone:
Wow! what exciting lives you all lead, while I'm stuck in this computer lab on Saturdays, trying to get my students to pass the FCAT (a high school graduation requirement). They act as if they're doing me a personal favor by showing up, and then spend the rest of the time trying to play computer games instead of working on the tutorial program. God help us all if these are the future adults who will keep Social Security going.
Anyway, Thursday my granddaughter was in her school's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. And she was awesome!!! My son kept saying "I can't belive I'm enjoying Shakespeare." I'm glad Samantha attends an arts magnet school, but her choice of drama worries me. What's she going to do in the future? Move to NY, act in off-off Broadway shows, and subsist on Ramen noodles while she waits for a big break that may never come? I pre-paid her college tuition, so she will get a degree, and she won't be weighed down by a large debt when she graduates. The rest is up to her.
I have been praying for the folks in the Midwest who are facing terrible devastation and heartbreak. May God give them the strength to deal with their losses and rebuild their lives.
Ok, ya'll. Break is over, so I'll go back to my kiddies and you have an awesome Saturday.

Morning, errr. . . afternoon, everyone! Thought I'd jump in today, for a change. I've gotten in the habit of checking in on ya'll almost every day, but never feel like I have much to contribute.
It's been a busy week for me. Spent last weekend at the beach with a couple of friends; had a good time, but I was so ready to be back home!
On Tuesday, I had my surgery consult! Really, really liked the doctor, and if I go through with this (about 99.9% certain I will), I think I'll feel good about him rearranging my innards, LOL! I am kind of mad at myself because I didn't prepare for the appointment as well as I would have liked, and so still have questions to be answered. He does have an e-mail address though, and welcomed any additional questions, so think I'll do that.
Thursday was my oldest son's 29th birthday - Yikes! Can't believe he's that old! - so we celebrated at Macaroni Grill last night. Had a wonderful time, then came home and had birthday cake. I ate way too much, as usual. Ugh. It's afternoon, and I'm still full from last night. The days of such gluttony will soon be over, I hope.
I'm trying to get myself prepared mentally for surgery. Also trying (with the exception of last night!) to change my diet now, by increasing protein, eliminating a lot of carbs, cutting out my Diet Coke (), and learning to drink lots of water.
I'd better move along now. I have three little Shih Tzu doggies that desperately need some grooming, so that's next on my agenda for today.
I hope all of you have a wonderful day. I'm also praying for anyone who lives over to the east of us. Those storms rolling through are horrible, and my heart goes out to all the people who've died, lost loved ones, and/or been affected by this terrible weather.
Many hugs,
Beth

Hi Beth!! Hey I didn't know you had Shih Tzu's!!! I have one and he is my best friend!!! Long story on him and how I got him...sad also!!
You seem to be well on your way now for getting your surgery and happy that you can still ask your dr questions through his email!!! Sometimes its easier to do it that way. Less embarrassing. But you will do ok!! So you decided on the sleeve then? Wishing you the BEST of luck!!!!
No matter if you have things that seems boring to you might not be to us...heck I blab about nothing at times...LOL So keep posting!!!

Hi Judy and my OFF family:
We had lots of storms yesterday, but fortunately no tornadoes touched down in Evansville ... there was a photo of a funnel cloud on the cover of the paper ... I was trying to find a link to it online but can't find it in the online edition. Must be because it was taken by someone in the community and not one of our photographers. It was an awesome photo. Scary.
About 12:30 p.m., when the sirens started going off, I noticed Juliette getting antsy and starting to look for a place to hide. Later, when the all-clear sounded, she came out. She had been hiding in the printer table (the lower part). Animals can sense when the weather is bad. So, since we were still under storm watch, I left the closet door open in the bedroom, giving her a safe place to hide (she used to open the door in La.). It was very smart of her to search for her storm shelter, don't you think?
Back to work again tonight ... last night I was in charge of our Henderson, Ky., newspaper, "The Gleaner," ... except I didn't realize I was supposed to be in at 2:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. when I looked at my calendar. I got in a little after 3 p.m. Their deadline is 10:30 p.m. ... I made deadline easily, but I felt bad I got in a little late ... my boss was OK about it, I just felt bad about being late. I just spaced out. My boss was very complimentary again. I never feel nervous when I'm in charge here, because he always says he knows I can do it. So then I feel I can do it.
We were really fortunate in this corner to have just storms and hail and no tornadoes. They were all close, though. Glad to have weathered this round 2 of the spring, although it's not spring yet. It was 70 degrees when I went to work, 30 when I came home. More like March.
Well, have a good day, everyone. Judy, I know what you mean about liking where you are and what you are doing. I feel the same way.
