Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Good mornin' ya'll.
Trish you always seem to have somewhere to go and things to do. Being busy is great. Although I would rather be busy in my own house.
Today's GMA Deals and Steals was all about stuff for babies and toddlers. Lord help me! I had to go online and order all kinds of stuff for my new great grandbaby. By the time he arrives I'll need to rent a u-haul to get everything up there to him. The theme is gonna be monkeys. I found the cutest onesies, footie jammies, blankies, and all kinds of other stuff with monkeys!
Today I am making cake pops for our DIL's Relay For Life bake sale tomorrow. She bought one of those cake pop pans. Can't wait to take the top off and see how it worked. I am waiting for them to cool.
My Aunt and Uncle stopped by yesterday. We had such a nice visit, getting caught up on each other's kids and grandkids. She is my sister's age, just 5 years older than me. They have been married 50 years and they are the sweetest couple!
Gotta go take the top off my cake pop pan!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Good morning Trish and everyone......
Wow I am only the second person here this morning. Where is everyone it is after 10:00AM ?????
Not a lot happening here. I am washing clothes today and then going tanning. We finally got plowed out about 3:00PM yesterday. I went to hang out with some friends after that. I hate being closed in somewhere. Makes me stir crazy!!
Got my bill for my Internet service and of course it was wrong. They charged me $49.99 for hook up. I was told that was free. They took it off my bill. You have to watch your bills closely someone is always trying to slip in an extra charge.
Wishing you all a great day!! Prayers for many in need.
Love and hugs to all......connie d

Right Connie, you do have to watch your bills.
I just got something from a "collection agency" which I believe what a fraud set up. It was an ER bill for 2 yrs. ago. I called the number and said nope not going to pay it, what was it for? Of course she didn't know.
...And howdy OFF family, just me bringing up the rear. Dealing with some tummy pain but I'm fighting it once again with norco which is better than surgery for now...
The sun was shining today and that always puts some pep in my step! The birds were flocking around our bird feeder and my outdoor cats were laying on top of my hot tub cover in the sunshine. Hugs and prayers for all in need. Debbie

I can't imagine having to be plowed out. It is spring here. I have cleaned out my flower beds and waiting for my perrenials to sprout back up. I bought a couple of herbs and an eggplant
plant today. Yesterday was 81 degrees and should be the same today. That's gulfcoast Texas ya. Summer in Houston is miserable.
Hi Trish and all my OFF buddy peeps.
Where in the world is everyone? I miss you.
My Michael and Ginger leave for Austin, TX tomorrow. I hope to see Vickie for a little bit when I'm there to visit and help the kids open the business. Michael found a nice store to set up the business. Johnny and Maryann will be there too. Should be hectic and fun at the same time. Any other people live within range of Austin?
WE at EF Church planted a church in a neighboring town about 2 years ago. They have been able to purchase 9 acres of land just outside the town. They are having a 24 hour prayer time. Looking for God's direction for the church and their place in the town. I'm kicking it off at 00:01 am until 2:00 am. Steve is there from 4:00 am to 6:00 am.
I then have a business cal at !0:00 am and PT at 3:00 pm. Going to be a long, busy day. Also have DVDs I mus****ch. Information to read. I wish I liked to read. I put it off as long as I can.
Still no word on my computer. Mag

Good morning everyone!
I am always glad to come here to OFF in the mornings. You gals just make my days brighter!
Today is my day to clean house. Trying to develop better habits. I need to establish a regular cleaning schedule again, and not just do it whenever the whim strikes me. (Not that it strikes all that often! LOL!) I figure Thursdays will be good cleaning days for me.
I am pleased to tell you all that the scale dropped another half pound this morning. I know that 1/2 pounds are not all that exciting, but I am so please to have finally come out of my long stall. I'm down 3 pounds since Feb 5th. I don't care how slowly it comes off as long as it keeps on coming!
I wanted to share with you all some of the information Dr. Garth told me on Tuesday. He told me to absolutely STOP drinking protein drinks and eating protein bars. Why? I asked. He said I don't need to eat as much protein now as I did when I was in the first months post-op. Dropped my daily requirement down to 50 grams, instead of the 80 grams I was trying to squeeze in every day. Plus he said that our bodies don't have to work very hard to metabolize the protein in protein drinks and protein bars. It's not that they're empty calories, exactly, but they're EASY calories. He said my daily protein drink probably contributed to my long stall. That, and lack of exercise.
So, okay then. I know this is a journey. And I know I have to stay vigilant about my eating habits and my exercise habits for the rest of my life. No resting on my laurels, so to speak. LOL! It's so easy to become complaisant, isn't it?
Just about finished the little preemie "take me home" outfit for my cousin's grandbaby. I've made a little dress, bonnet and just have one little bootie left to crochet today. I'll get my package all together this evening and mail it off tomorrow. I'm also sending a little preemie sized blanket, cap and booties for her to use now while she's in the NICU. They don't like the preemies to wear "clothes" while they're in the NICU, but they will let them wear little caps and booties.
My sweet hubby will be home in less than 2 weeks now. I'm so ready to see him again! I always miss him while he's gone, but today is one of those days I just want to TALK to him. It's very hard to have an internet marriage. Sometimes a daily email is just not enough, you know? But I try to be grateful for the daily emails. There was a time when he was in India and Pakistan back in the 90's that we didn't even have that! He would leave and we wouldn't hear from him at all for 30 days. Now that was tough. Looking back, I don't know how we survived those years.
Well, that vacuum is not going to pu****self around this big ol' house, now is it? I'd better get started.
Love you all!

Hi Vickie:
I find it interesting that your doc wants you to cut back on protein. I found that even with having protein drinks and bars, I was still low on protein every year with my testing. I get in two protein drinks a day (as a meal) and sometimes one bar (as a snack) and regular high protein meals and still am low in protein every year. Sems like no matter what I do, I just don't get in enough protein.
Oh well. Every doc is different. I know mine doesn't like the protein drinks either ... says they go through the pouch too easily. I prefer real food but am not a breakfast person, which is why I like the coffee protein drinks. I don't have to think about making anything for breakfast but still get my coffee and my protein first thing in the morning.

Eileen,
Maybe it was because my numbers were so good on my bloodwork. And he didn't say to LIMIT my protein to 50 grams daily. Just to be sure and hit that mark daily. If I go over, it's fine. But he was adamant not to use protein drinks and protein bars to acheive my daily protein amount. He told me to "eat natural foods". He said if I could find a ProJo tree, then I could pick a ProJo and have one every day. LOL! He also said that protein bars are just candy bars in disguise. So he has pretty strong feelings about it, huh?
I like breakfast, so that's not a problem for me. I usually have a greek yogurt with dry cereal mixed in for breakfast when Butch is gone. When he's home, I make scrambled eggs. Now, I was drinking a ProJo every day for lunch. But today I'm having a tuna fish sandwich. Same amount of protein as the drink. I'm willing to give it a try. If it makes the last 20 pounds come off, I'm all for it.
When I look in the mirror, I can "see" that last 20 pounds just sitting there in my belly! I want it GONE!
