Tuesday again! Are we closer to spring?
I am still ready for spring you know that first real soft whisper of warm breeze sneaking in your window. Our neighbor is a digger (always planting something) I think she is digging already and right now there is snow on the ground!
I know many here are dealing with major health issues or other difficulties and my prayers continue going up for you I cant remember all of you to list but He knows who you are.
This Will sound weird to some of you. I sometimes feel guilty about my life being so easy when I think of some of you dealing with what you do. We deal with some health issues and have problems and such but my life is really easy compared to some of you.
I spent a several days at the vet hospital with stepdad when he had to be admitted, he has sundowners dementia and does better in strange situations when family are around and that seems to be my task in taking care of the old man. Then ended up in the hospital myself with a real nasty flu. I kept losing so much fluids that they couldn't keep I think it was electrolytes? stabilized. I don't like hospitals. I am feeling good now better every day. I tend to recover fast once I get over the sickness if that makes sense.
I hope you all have a great day!
Good mornin' ya'll.
Seems like it should be afternoon. I went to see my oncologist this morning for the results of my CT scan in January, and the blood work last week. Everything was normal. But I still have to go back every 6 months for the next 2.5 years. That will be 5 years post cancer. Then to Michaels and to Walmart, and finally home.
Jo, I agree. I feel I have a very blessed life. The cancer didn't spread and the treatments worked...blessed. Both of my parents passed in the last 3 years. But they both had lived long and fulfilling lives. They were both ready to go, even if we weren't ready to have them go. Because Momma passed they found my cancer early enough.....blessed.
I live right down the road from my darling oldest son and his family, and have for the last 7 years. They have been there for me through deaths and cancer....blessed.
Before we lived in NC we spent 23 years in OR. Our kids graduated from high school there. After our daughter got married and had her babies I was able to be there to help her when she and our SIL worked......blessed.
Also, because Momma passed my house is paid off, I have no debt, I am able to spend my days worry free.....blessed. I can do any project I want and share my work with friends and family.....blessed.
I have been married for 46 years to a man who loves me and supports me in everything. A man I love with all my heart.....blessed.
I'm not saying my life is perfect. Is anyone's? But I am definately blessed!!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
I am running late today. Got up early, made myself a yummy breakfast, and then scooted to my AA meeting. On the way home, I stopped at WalMart for some stuff I needed. Spring is right around the corner, so I went to the lawn and garden department and got some flower pots for some plants I rooted from cuttings. Being in that department gave me hope of warmer weather and greener trees and grass.
My leg started hurting when I got home, so I am resting it, keeping it elevated. I also am a day behind in my Bible study homework. So, I have some catching up to do this afternoon.
I hope everyone has a blessed day. Prayers for those who need them.
Hugs,
Trish

Jo....sorry you ended up in the hospital but am very glad you are okay now!
Carolyn....congrats on the good test results!!
Trish....sounds like you are getting out more. Glad you are paying attention to the pain and keeping it elevated.
As for me.....still bothered with this head cold but at least it isn't any worse. Today is setting up my sister's meds and cleaning day. I want to go tanning at some point. We are supposed to get a lot of snow tonight and tomorrow so I won't be going out then. UGH... 6-12 inches!! Good thing is it won't last long.
Where is everyone else? Seems so deserted here this morning.
Prayers for so many in need....some need a few special ones as well.
Have a great day....I will check back in later to see who else posts. MISS EVERYONE....come back!!!
Much love and many hugs to all.....connie d
Perhaps you've heard the story of the man caught in a flood who had a deep faith in God. As the flood waters rose, his neighbors told him, "You have to leave, the flood is going to wash everything away."
Calmly, the man replied, "It's not a problem, God will save me."
As the waters continued to rise to the second floor of the man's house, a boat came by with rescuers. They said, "Quickly, get in, the flood is going to wash everything away."
Again the man replied, "It's not a problem, God will save me."
As the flood worsened, the man was forced to climb onto the roof of his home. A helicopter came, threw down a ladder and the rescuers said, "Climb up. The flood is about to wash everything away."
One more time, the man said, "It's not a problem, God will save me."
Finally, the flood washed everything away, and the man drowned.
When he reached heaven, he saw God. The first thing he asked was, "Lord, I was so certain you would save me, what happened?"
Very perplexed, God said to the man, "I just don't know, I sent neighbors, a boat and a helicopter to save you."
It is all iin the attitude and the Faith. Hugs, Marti

Had a long night last night because of the Daytona 500 ending so late ... damn, couldn't get that done during the day, could they? And then two crashes that delayed the end. We held the sports section to get it in ... had to piecemeal a story together and slap it on the page. Lots of fun. Got home after 1:30 and then couldn't find a parking space in front of my building ... had to park in front of the next building down (not that it was that far away, but still ... my knees hurt and it's literally a pain to have to limp to the door).
Sorry you've been sick, Jo. Tough when you're taking care of others.
Me, I'm busy taking care of myself. I have to be in early today because I'm in charge (it's called working the slot ... the early copy desks were u-shaped, and the chief sat in the middle, or the "slot" with the other editors sitting around the "rim."). So today I'm working "slot."
Anyway, that's what's going on with me. It's my Friday and I can't wait to have two days off. I'm tired and need a break. Need to do laundry, too.
Have a good day.
Having issues with horrible leg and foot cramps. Last night I thought my lower leg would come undone, I could see my knee and foot out of place as the cramping continued. Today I am soaking in epson salts and taking it easy. I am in pain from the cramps, but not letting it get me down.
Hubby making quick gravy with sausage for dinner so the house smells devine. Garlic is a miracle and so delicious....fresh basil is mmmmmm too.
We went to a huge pet celebration Saturday and had such fun. Over 8000 dogs attended and all got along. Our Yoda was a good good boy, but he was so tired afterwards.
Not much happening in our world. Need rain so dearly. Prayers for all and hugs. Monica
When I get leg cramps, it usually means I am not drinking enough water. I hate when I get them in the middle of the night. I have to get up and walk around to untie the knot in the muscle.
Hope you feel better soon.

Trish
