Manic Monday What's Up?
Seems everyone is sleeping late today. I overslept, and am now waiting for the nurse to call to let me know when to expect her. I am looking forward to seeing how the wound is healing.
Nothing special planned for today. Have to run to Rite Aid to pick up Allegra D, which I must take religiously, or get sick.
I have some organizing to do with paperwork, but nothing exciting.
Hope everyone is having a blessed day.
Hugs,
Trish

Took our grandson back to NC on Saturday. Ate at Fatz, then dropped him at the academy. We stayed the night at Holiday Inn Express and stopped at Costco on the way home. Took almost an hour to unload $1100 worth of Costco groceries and such. That is NOT a typo! And we didn't even get printer ink!! I wanted to just unload enough to get to the fridge stuff, but NOOOO, Ray wanted to unload everything. On one pass through the dining room, I found him on the floor. Like an idiot I said, did you fall? Here's your sign. He said to let him lay awhile and catch his breath. I continued to unload and put away. He had gotten his feet tangled up, and down he went. Has a nice BIG rug burn on his knee. After some logistical planning we got him up. He was able to help me finish unloading. Then we went to Logan's for lunch. I know, we had just bought groceries!! We went to spend our $470 AmEx rebate check! Oh, and we stopped at Harris Teeter and spent $60 there, too. This morning we finally got everything put away.
I placed an online order at Walden Farms. I couldn't find everything I wanted at Harris Teeter and I wasn't gonna hunt at anymore stores. I love the net!
Today a trip to the PO to mail three boxes of stuff to various places. Then a stop at the Commissary for Ray's progresso soup, northern beans and cream for his coffee. Then a stop at the pharmacy. Apparently I recorded the number incorrectly for his Maxcide. When we fill an RX, I record the numbers, divide the pills up into 3 months of pill cases and throw away the bottles. Soooo, I need to find out the correct number.
More Spring like weather here. I love it.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
Glad to see you back. I am heading to Perry the day after Easter, so maybe we can do lunch again. I will be babysitting for my daughter, because her hubby is going north for the week for work. She is due to have her baby at the end of April, beginning of May. Hopefully, she will have this one while I am there, and I won't have to make the second trip later then. Either way, I am thrilled to go spend the week with my Munchkins.
I will be traveling over Easter weekend, so that I can arrive in Perry the day after. I think I still have your number in my cell phone.
Talk to you soon.
Hugs,
Trish

Wow, not many of us here yet today. I hope everyone is all right. Connie, Mag, Monica, Karen, Cindi, Judy, et. al., where are you guys? LOL!
So, today I get a pat on the back.

But you know, I didn't have much left in my closet to wear to workout. I saved one old pair of size 18 navy capri knit pants to mow in, and they're paint stained to boot, but that's all I really had suitable for workout clothes today. So I stopped at Wal Mart to buy some yoga pants on the way home. Hmph. Not much to choose from there. And I don't like their sizing. One of my earliest goals was to get all the "X's" out of my closet. But at Wal Mart, a size Large is a 12-14. I'm really a 14-16. But I had to buy the damn XL, which is a size 16-18. I know it's a silly thing, but I don't want to ever have to buy a size XL again! I haven't taken the tags off yet. I may look some more while I'm in Houston tomorrow.
So tomorrow is my one-year check up with Dr. Garth. I'm looking forward to hearing the results of my bloodwork. I'm trying to figure out what to wear. I want to wear something that shows off my new figure, but I also want to wear something LIGHTWEIGHT for when they weigh me! LOL! I don't suppose they will let me strip naked to weigh, huh?
Today is my day to finish cleaning out and organizing my pantry. Oh, it's looking so much nicer in there. All clean and spacious and well-organized. I'm making progress. Now I just have to convince hubby to keep it that way when he gets home. I foresee many minor skirmishes in our future. He's really a drop it wherever it lands kind of guy.
I'd better get moving. Wishing you all were here for this lovely warm spring weather we're having. I've got the doors wide open today. So nice!
Love you all!
Hello, everybody!
A cold windy but sunshiny day here in Niagara!! We just got home an hour ago from the Cancer Centre, I had my twenty-third radiation treatment and now just two more to go!! woohoo! Tues(tomorrow), another treatment then I see my Radiologist. I have some questions as well as asking why one of my incisions is opening up again...likely from the burns, but better to ask. Also, during one of my now-familiar HOT FLASHES, I had extra symptons- racing heart, weak knees even 30 minutes after and a sense of panic...only once but I have to ask the doctor if I can expect THAT fun session again or why it happened??
And Wednesday, my last treatment!
I am pretty heavily burned now..no more bra wearing for a while...tiny blisters forming and very sore in the armpit, naturally every time I move my arm, it aggravates the skin. I try to wear a cotton tshirt but even the armholes or seams scratch my skin..it's so darned sensitive...like tissue paper.
HOWEVER, all this too shall pass! *s* I will be so glad to not have to face that hour's drive everyday to the cancer centre...an hour isnt a big deal, just that, with two-three hours driving, getting ready, treatment time and all, by the time I'm back home, Im finished for the day.
In three weeks, I see the HOT FLASH Nurse Clinic and get accupuncture for the side effects of the Arimidex which I have to take for five years.
Then it's Genetic Study since there seems to have been alot of cancer in my Mom's family for at least three generations that I am aware of.
Derek's ladyfriend, Kathy, made a huge pot of split pea & ham soup and sent over enough for the week...yummy! Sure is nice to have a professional chef right next door...*s*.
Well, I have to head up and lay down for an hour or two..we had stopped in the city to pick up my two pairs of support stockings that I wear for my lymphodema in both legs and then picked up the mail in the village, gassed the car, and were welcomed by the tribe of furry felines as we drove down the driveway...lol..they all come running, a tsunami of fur! So I sat outside on the porch for 30 minutes, all bundled up, visiting with my furry critters..scratching ears and chatting and cuddling...yes, all twenty-six of them!
Good to see some familiar but rarely-seen faces back posting. Sending healing energy for anyone needing extra prayer.

Nothing much happening here. I am getting a cold and am going to try to nap soon. I took some DayQuil and even that makes me sleepy. I haven't been on the computer much over the weekend. Just always so much going on!!
We went to see a "Johnny Cash Tribute Band" yesterday, Sunday. They were awesome!! If you didn't look at him you would swear Johnny was up there singing!!
Saturday afternoon I spent with friends. I did go out to see my friends band "Silverado" play Saturday night. They were as awesome as always. I stayed after the show with them and all the bar staff. I got home to bed at 5AM!!! I am too old for this....now I need to sleep for a couple days....just kidding!
Spoke with my daughters and grandchildren over the weekend too. Things are somewhat better with Jamie. We still have things to discuss.
Yesterday was also my boyfriend's birthday. We had a great time.
I did miss checking in here....am glad everyone is okay even though there are people missing. Hope they are doing well. Still praying for all in need.
Wishing you a good day. You are the best of the best my friends!!
Love and hugs to all....connie d
I am having a lot of pain lately ... my back and left knee. Maybe the left knee is because of my back. I need either to find a ortho doc or a chiropractor. I could barely move this morning. Ice pack on the back helped a lot. But I'm still in pain.
I need to get in the shower and think about getting ready for work ... I'm in the mood to sit in my jammies and have coffee. Not that I don't love my job, I'm just in a lot of pain today. I was about to say I don't see any rain but there is rain in the forecast tomorrow.
Trish, hope your leg is healing well. I live on Allegra D once allergy season starts. The legislature here is thinking of making decongestants prescription only because of the meth epidemic ... will make it more difficult for me, but I understand the reasoning. A few druggies make us all criminals.
Well, have a good day.
