SATURDAY...WHAT'S HAPPENING??????
OK I am back...yummmm hot coffee to take the chill off me after getting out of bed! Snow is coming down and the wind is blowing!! BRRRRRRRRRRRR 30* and feels much colder than that!!! Hope spring ocmes early....lol
Well I finally got all the paperwork back on the two new tenants and got one lease back at closing time last night and the other one needs to be made up yet. So looks like Monday for them to move in!!! WOOOHOOO!! Need one thing faxed to me on 3 of the recerts I am working on and they can be sent in and get them ready for their new leases. Still no word from the other two I still have to get started on their recerts. Guess they don't care if their rent goes up huh?
Wanted to go eat Chinese last night but it was snowing so dang hard we went to the grocery store instead and got some pork chops. Maybe tonight for the Chinese.
Need to get the apartment cleaned got guests coming for a visit next weekend!!! Can't wait to see them!!! Been months since we last saw each other!!! Going to be a blast!!!! Have our maintenance guy doing the open and close so we can have time with our guests!! Soooo looking forward to next weekend!!!! :-)
Well best get started on dusting and all that goes with it....;-)

I am just stopping in to say hi. My tummy is upset today, I went to bed early last night for the same reason. Hope I don't feel any worse as the day goes by. I am supposed to meet up with some friends tonight as other friends and their band are playing here tonight. Guess I will have to wait and see how I feel.

I am getting my apartment ready for my Thirty-One Party this afternoon. Should be small, but nice.
Saw the nurse yesterday. She thinks she will be able to discharge me from her care next Friday. The wound that is left really is healibg ncely, I am thrilled. She says I have been a good patient.

Judy, even when you talk about all the work involved in this job, you sound happy. I'm so glad you have found something you enjoy.
Trish, of course you were a good student! Great to hear you are almost done with these treatments. Aren't we lucky to have insurance to pay for the kind of care we need.
Wednesday night, early Thursday morning there was a fire in a two story house down the road and around the corner from us. About half a mile away. Three of the 8 kids were killed. The Mom was at work, the Dad and all of the other 5 kids ( 2 sets of twins) are in various hospitals around the area. It was caused by an electrical problem in the kitchen. They had moved into this house just a few months ago after a house fire in the last house they lived in. They have lost everything TWICE, and now 3 of their children. It just makes me want to cry!
We take our grandson back to SC this afternoon. He and his cousin and a friend went to a late movie last night, then came here and played video games till Lord knows how late. I got up this morning to find THREE boys snoring in my house. One in bed, two in the living room! I imagine I will be serving breakfast to them all when I wake Blaine up at noon.

Judy, that apartment manager job is just what I would like to have when I retire, but I guess the owners would want couples, so the man can be sort of a handyman. Free rent is a really great incentive, especially down here where mortgages and homeowner association fees can eat up your salary or retirement check.
Worked until 10 p.m. last night tutoring a lady who wants to extend her teaching certificate. It was really hard after working from 6:15 a.m. to 3:30 at school, then dashing off to shower and change to drive 5 miles to my tutoring gig. This morning I'm supervising a computer lab filled with high school kids from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.. Not what I envisioned my life to be like at 64, but grateful to have three jobs when some people can't even find one.
This afternoon I will be cleaning and doing laundry, hoping to get at least Sunday off before beginning the grind again on Monday. I need some fun in my life!!!
Not complaining, just letting the universe know needs and wants.
