TGIF- What's Happening?
Maria--
Well, if you have a cabana boy you'd like to send over, I'll take him! Tee hee!
No, hon, I mow all the time. We have 10 acres and 3 tractors and I mow every bit of it, week in and week out. The new little John Deere was supposed to be my "cadillac" tractor. The one I use to mow just the yard (about 2 acres). I usually bush hog the rest of the pastures on that big noisy diesel tractor.
Sometimes I luck out and we have a really good Mexican worker who can mow for me. But seems like everytime we get one who can speak pretty good English and whom Butch trusts with our equipment, he gets deported back to Mexico. (Sorry if this isn't PC, but Mexicans are all we have to hire around here and most of them are not here legally. We have to work with what we have here.) We just found a new day worker named Juan, and I have high hopes that he can take over the mowing for me this summer. Butch is going to teach him about the tractors and changing the belts, oil, etc., the next time he is home. I speak a little Spanish, but not enough to really communicate anything in detail. I certainly couldn't tell him how to change a belt, even if I knew. So I'm out of luck for the next few weeks.
Hmmm, maybe I'll try the hot milk. But I take my iron supplement at night, and I know I'm supposed to wait at least 2 hours after I take my calcium supplement before I take my iron pill. Not sure how the timing would work on that.
Last night I found myself eating a spoonful of jelly straight from the jar, so I threw it away this morning! I am a sick, sick woman. SMH!

Vickie, you have no idea how many lawn tractors we have gone through. When we lived in OR we had about 5 acres we rented and my DH loved mowing, or just going out and knocking down the mole hills.
Our Craftsman mower lasted the longest, but only because we kept renewing the service contract on it and they did a complete overhaul on it each Spring.
Then we got a John Deere. It worked pretty good, but yeah, the belt kept coming off. My DH would head back to the house and it was my job to put it back on. Depending on which belt, I sometimes had to take the whole durn mower deck out from under the thing. But it was his own fault for trying to cut down huge thickets of blackberry bushes.
We brought that John Deere here with us, gave it to our son and bought another. The belt kept coming off that one, too. So maybe it wasn't the blackberries. Our son also got tired of having to put belts back on and bought a cub cadet. A couple of years ago we bought a cub cadet, too. We used it one summer then hired a lawn service. So it sits under the overhang of the shed, and only gets used when our son's mower is on the blink.
The lawn service is definately worth the money!!

Hi Vickie...I hate to state the obvious, but why not have a piece of chocolate.....the darker the better and something warm to drink and it is very satisfying...no searching for other stuff. Give your body what it really wants....and it will be happy. ..just not too much. Hugs, Marti

Good afternoon Trish and everyone....
Just came home. I spent all day and night with a good friend. We had so much fun! I didn't even get on the computer all day yesterday.
Today/Tonight my friend Tony wants to meet up and hang out. I am doing laundry now and still need to shower!! It feels like Saturday to me...I am so confused!!
My back and neck are still sore but a whole lot better then it was. I am bad...I never did go see a doctor. I just keep icing it and resting when I can.
Wishing you all a good day. Prayers for those in need.
Glad to see more of our past members are coming back....YAY!!!
Love and hugs to all....connie d
