Good Morning Family,
Saw my orthopedist about my back pain.  He wants me to start physical therapy first.  Thinks there might be some nerve damage from when I fell and hit my head.

Today, I have my AA meeting.  Then, I have an iron infusion.  After that, some serious tidying.

I hope everyone has a blessed day.  Prayers and love to all.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning Trish and everyone to come,
it is a dreary day today. I think rain is in our future.
I m on a mission to get some flip flops today. Mine are getting ratty looking.
I was so excited yesterday, I got a coupon for half price oil change on my car. 17.00 dollars isnt bad for an oil change on my 2011 car cause I have to use synthetic oil in it and that is exspensive.
I also got a call from 'branda Russell and we talked for over an hour.
she is doing fine but doesnt have internet but got a new phone. I am hoping to go and see her in march or May depending on what the weather is doing up in the 'chicago area and what my daughter is up too.
Well nothing else going on here. just chillin. Carla

Good mornin' ya'll.
Another nothing day here. Our grandson, who is here for his Winter Break from the military academy, decided we should bake a cake yesterday. He asked what kind of cake mixes I had in the pantry! MIXES?!?! Gramma's don't use cake mixes! So we made one from scratch! It is now in the fridge in the laundry room so I can't hear it calling to me as loudly. When our DIL stopped by on her way to work to get left overs for her lunch she took a piece with her. I'll also make sure our son gets some for his lunch.
Our DIL called yesterday to ask me to overnight her son's passport to him. He is the one with the PG girlfriend who moved with her to IN. He is gonna join the Navy and needed his passport. The background check has already been done when you get a passport so it speeds things up. He wants to be done with boot camp before the baby arrives. It is a boy, which I had been telling them from day one! Their passports are in our safe.
Need to go pick up RX refills on the base after one. Our grandson will probably be awake and fed by then. The housekeeper will be here about 10:30. That means our son will come for his lunch and nap a little later than usual.
I am still working on that cute caterpiller crochet thing. The body looked too big, so started it again. The hat looks too small. Grrrr. That is what happens when you have no pattern, just a picture!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!!

Oh, it's a boy!  How exciting!  So happy for you, Caroline.  Best wishes for your grandson and his Navy adventure, too.  Crossing my fingers and toes that everything works out for them.

Hello Ladies,
Busy day today. Must go into Tucson which always takes longer than expected.

Also I'm excited that I have become a consultant for my "own Business." I don't know the rules on OH so for now I'll just say I think it will be great for extra money. That way I can pay off medical bills faster and maybe start saving a bit too.

Gotta run.  Everyone have a blessed day.   Mag

Hello Trish and everyone!

I slept really late today.  My day is all off-kilter because of it.  I just now finished my breakfast.  I made some gluten-free buttermilk biscuits this morning using rice flour and coconut flour.  They're a little sweet and crumbly, sort of like a shortcake biscuit, but quite decent with a scrambled egg.  I'll have to freeze them or I'll nibble on them all day.  You know how I am with sweets, even faintly sweet things like these biscuits.  Can't stay out of them.

Thank you all for the sweet comments about my surgiversary yesterday.  My WL surgeon has a page on FB, so I posted a pic of myself from Christmas (which was only 3 pounds ago), and he wrote me back that I looked "Wow".  That made me feel good, too.

Yesterday I got started on cleaning out my kitchen pantry.  Got the top two shelves done.  That's where I kept a lot of my seldom used items, like my canning supplies and such.  So I filled up two large packing boxes with items I know I will not use this summer (no garden and no canning for me this year!), and it's already looking much better in there.  I'm going to tackle the middle 3 shelves one at a time.  It's a big job taking everything out, laying new shelf paper, and then putting it all back in again.  And I'm chunking stuff left and right.  Found my stash of baking chocolate yesterday.  I forgot I hid it all before my surgery last year.  Threw it all out without a moment's hesitation!  To paraphrase Lady MacBeth:  "Out,  damned chocolate chips!  Out, I say!"  LOL!

This afternoon I'm going to start my mowing.  It's warm and sunny and the ground has dried out enough I think.  It always takes longer to mow the first time, and the clover just gums up under the mower if it gets too high.  Crazy to start mowing before the end of February, but it's just been so warm here.  The clover doesn't know it's still winter.

Hope you all are having a great Thursday!  Hang on, cuz Friday's comin'!

Love you all!

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

Sorry you are having back pain ... I know how that is.

I woke up with a headache ... thought it was a sinus headache, so I took an Allegra-D, and it worked a little, but then it moved off to the left side of the head, so I took a migraine med ... that knocked it out. I think it was a little of both. We had thunderstorms last night, now it's 65 degrees and clouding up again ... there's supposed to be a storm moving from the west with snow/rain (snow further north, more rain here). So that might have brought on my headache.

I hope to get out a little later and do some grocery shopping now that I feel a little better. I did get a few boxes unpacked ... moved my stereo stand into place and unpacked some CDs, put up a picture in my bedroom (a little crooked ... I can't hang anything straight!).So now I have to get the boxes out of here.

Well, that's all from me. Hope everyone has a great day.
