Its Monday Is it spring yet?
I am ready for Spring, though we here in Southeast PA have not really had a real Winter yet. I just happen to hate Winter big time.
Today, I am waiting for the nurse to call to let me know when to expect her. I am in the home stretch of care. The wounds are healing up nicely. This has been a long time coming.
After she leaves, I will be finishing my bedroom. I deep cleaned it yesterday, and stirred up a ton of dust. Now, I have to strip the bed, and wash all the bedding, and put a ton of laundry away,
I hope everyone is having a blessed day.
Hugs,
Trish

Jo, we really haven't had much of a winter here either. But we are ready for Spring!
Trish, so happy you are on the mend! Hope that continues.
I have both spare bedrooms full. It's been a long time since I have had 2 grandsons here at once. I'm sure they were up most of the night and won't roll out of bed til after noon.
I need to go to Michaels for some greenish yarn for a swaddling thing with a hat for my cousin's upcoming baby. It's gonna be precious.
Yesterday was a nasty, rainy, windy day. Today, it looks like a totally different situation. Sunshine, clear skies and warmth are on tap! Now, that's the kind of weather I like to see!
I'm still trying to catch up on all the DVR shows I missed while I was in Oregon. I have stuff on my DVR and on my 'DH's' DVR. Most of my stuff is from the Food Network channel. Most of the stuff on his is program's we BOTH like.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
Top o' the morning to you all!
I'm really hoping that spring is here in East Texas. Lots of sunshine today and high's in the mid-70's for the rest of the week. Makes me itch to get out in my flower beds!
This past weekend I went down to Lowe's Garden shop and bought six huge gorgeous Boston fern hanging baskets for less than $9 each! They won't be that price again once spring really arrives. I'm working on getting my curb appeal up and running. We have a big wraparound front porch. I'm going to hang the ferns across the front of my porch. Never have done that before because I'm terrible about keeping things watered and the front of my house faces west. It gets terribly hot there in the summer. But I will make a real effort to keep these ferns watered and alive this summer.
I'm also going to fix two white planters I have with some flowers and set them at the main entrance to the front porch. I'll have to use salvia or something that's heat tolerant in them, but it will be a spot of color as you come up our drive.
I'm not going to fill my front flower beds with annuals this year. They are too hard to keep alive in July and August here. Instead I am filling my beds with fresh mulch and I'll use my "concrete menagerie" for a bit of whimsy. I have concrete bunnies and geese and frogs and squirrels and chipmunks and turtles--you name it! If it comes in concrete, at some point I've bought it and lugged it home. LOL!
I bought some red and green caladiums for my back flower beds which are shady in the hot afternoons. They will help fill in a little color, but again, I'm not going to set out my usual buffet of annual flowers. I'm trying to keep things clean and uncluttered looking. I need things that will be low maintenance. I'll fix a couple of planters on the back patio with some impatiens, but that's it.
Today is a super busy day for me. Carpet cleaners come tomorrow, so I have to prepare for that. Also got that painter coming by at some point this evening to give me a quote on painting over the wallpaper in the kitchen and breakfast nook. I've decided against using a new color in there. Instead I'm going to use the same pale yellow that's already in the living room. Although I really like the use of color, and I would probably use that pale aqua green color for ME, I'm afraid it will look too kaleidoscope-y in here for prospective buyers. Better to go with one uniform paint color throughout the main living and dining area. They may or may not like the pale yellow, but I can't do anything about that! I can't afford to repaint the inside of the whole house, and who knows what color to paint it anyway.
Well, I'd better shake a leg. My morning is flying by. Positive thoughts and wishes for a warm sunny day for each of you!
Love you all!
Jo....I can't wait for spring....I hate winter although we certainly have had a good one this year!!
I am going tanning this morning and then to the grocery store. I need fruit. Then a friend called me and wants me to meet him about 1:00PM. Says he HAS to talk to me. Wonder what that will be about!!

Trish: So glad you are healing well. It has been a long time coming for sure.
Grammylew: always busy. How do you do it?
Oh dear, Vickie, you are sooo busy. remember to have some down time for yourself.
Judy: So sorry about the food problem. Hope your day continues to be quiet.
I am busy today going through files and old papers that are outdated or just never used. How does it stack up so fast? Have laundry started and some of my bills and letters sorted. Need to go to the bank after PT. Have another errand, but can't remember what it is right now. We call it a Green Valley moment because we are in a retirement town. Most neighborhoods must have at least one resident over 58. NO children allowed. Kids visiting can only stay 2 weeks at a time. Believe me, neighbors complain if children stay too long.
Eating going well. Still losing inches, but not pounds. This is not the weight I want to stay at.
Friend that I walk with has been sick for a week. No company for the walks.
Take care each and everyone. Do something good just to make you feel good and remind yourself how wonderful you are. Hugs, Mag
