What's Up on Saturday?
Where is everybody? I am having a lazy morning here. Slept in, and just posting and catching up on e-mails.
I plan to go to an AA meeting this afternoon. Other than that, I have to tidy.

I am drinking coffee, eating a protein bar, and have a banana to eat if I am still a little hungry. Today, I am going to work in my office. I am cowriting an article and I need to get my stuff written so that we transition my stuff with the other professor's. Sigh.
I overslept this morning and my girls were all walking around me, trying to get me out of bed At one point, all four were sitting around me staring at me. Before I take my medicines, before I make my coffee, and before I even think about what I will eat, they are at their food bowls meowing. If the litter box is dirty, one or two will meow and lead me to that job. I have one cat that will not use the litter box if there is more than one clump of urine in it…so I scoop often. I see their point…I flush every single time I go, so why shouldn't they get their pot flushed too. LOL.
DH is sleeping soundly. I cannot believe that he can stay in bed for so many hours. After about four, I am hurting so badly, I have to get up and sit for a while. Well, that' it for me: work, maybe later some house work, and coffee. Oh, today is jeans day…I hate wearing business suits all freaking weak.

Well we had more excitement here...lady that fell the other day is back home from hospital and she fell again this morning...got a call to see if we could come lift her...I said NO...call 911 that is what THEY are for!! Feel bad for saying it but what if my guys get hurt lifting her? Or they hurt HER? Not going to get into that one at all. Anyhow paramedics came and picked her up again and left. Yesterday, guy that lives behind us had another stroke and they took him to hospital. This makes about 9 strokes for him now. Nice guy also. So sad. AND...guy that is NOT supposed to be on property his truck is here again...we called police to come see if he WAS here and if so to arrest him for tresspassing!! Police came she let him in he looked around not here. OK. Police told her that he was seen on the grounds here and he is NOT to be here even to drop her off. Said said she knew that. WTH??? So that is my last several hours here at work...Not a dull moment is it?
Sun is out but chilly here...35*...BRRRRR
Need to clean apartment this weekend while there is no snow or anything else to be one til monday.
Got an email from my sister telling me my neighbor from years ago had died. She was 90. Sad. She was a good neighbor.

The past week was busy for me so I didn't read or post much here. Today the skies have opened up and we are getting lots of rain. When I look out the RV window I see huge puddles of water that will be here for a couple of days due to the clay in the soil.
Today I will drive the 300 yards to the community building to finish my laundry and work on sandwiching a baby quilt. I have to work tomorrow at the Visitor Information Station at the refuge so I'll take the quilt and my knitting to keep me occupied. This afternoon two of my fellow volunteers and I will drive into Beaumonnt for an shopping (picking up their new laptop), early dinner and to attend a play at the local theater.
I'll have Monday off and then back to the file project. An especially frustrating week on that front. I generated and applied 275 labels to folders only to find out that I had been given wrong information. It was just going too good, I should have known better. I'm dealing with employees who are still bothered by the new financial system that the FWS has implemented. Rather than answer my questions they dwell on how they used to do it. Anyway, I got it straightened out yesterday after I went for my massage. I'll generate 275 new labels this coming week and get the project back on track.
Not much else is new here in Texas other than the rain. Hope everyone is doing okay.

Quiet late morning. Coffee in hand. I'm going through clothes today. Again. I'm into the size 16's that my sis gave me. I still think I'm fat. I didn't think I would get one leg into them but instead they pulled right up and zipped. I am so amazed. I have no full length mirror so I don't see the over all picture. Ellen said I have big boobs and a very little butt. lol Some day I'd like to get rid of half of the girls.
Some of you may remember Dr. Steve from last spring. He did my evaluation on Tuesday because my inner ear is messed up again. Going to PT starting this coming Monday. Let me say that I looked into those dreamy eyes as we talked and I just melted. I can't believe he has that effect on me. Thinking maybe I need to change doctors. We will see. The PA in my surgeon's office told me on Thursday about a clinic that was purchased by the hospital I always use. (No, she doesn't know about Steve. Just concerned about my falls.) She said it is suppose to be an excellent clinic. The doctors would be at the hospital too. Again we will see.

Take $10 and go buy yourself a full length mirror at Wal Mart. I avoided mirrors for the longest time. It's only recently that I can look at myself in one again. Do it!
I'm sorry about Dr. Steve. What rotten luck that he has bedroom eyes. If he was cross-eyed, it would be better! LOL!
You've sure been quiet lately. I've been a bit worried about you, but I haven't wanted to press. Hope you pull out of your slump soon.

As Cindi said, it's a rainy dreary day here in Texas. But I'll take it! Parts of my yard look a bit like a lake today, but oh we need it so much! I just hope the lakes are filling back up again.
I am a busy bee in the kitchen this morning. I love baking all these new gluten free recipes. Something new to try, you know? I just made a cranberry walnut bread from coconut flour that is to DIE for! Yummy! I'm going to have to freeze half the loaf or I'll eat it all gone in a day! And I'm baking my third batch of those hamburger buns. I gave half the second batch to my mom and she like them. She's lost half a pound this week and says she feels less bloated.
I wish I could say that. Stepped on the scale this morning and I'm up 2 pounds from yesterday. Sigh. I guess TOM is going to make his regular visit this month after all. I certainly do feel bloated today.
I picked a new paint color for my kitchen and breakfast nook. It's called "blue tequila". Despite the name, it's really not blue at all. It's pale green with tinges of aqua in it. Very up-to-date color. I just painted a sample board and when it's dry, I'll stick it up in various places around the kitchen and nook and see how I like it. Live with it a couple of days before deciding for sure.
Got a painter coming out Monday evening to give me an estimate on texturing over the wallpaper and painting.
I posted pics of the new marble tile on FB, and I do think it's very pretty, but I've got to tell you all: I don't like it much! I have feet like popsicles, and walking on that cold marble is just agony for my tootsies! I much prefer warm, plush carpeting. But I know that selling a house isn't about selling your own personal preferences. I'll just have to keep my house shoes on at all times, except when I shower.
I'm so excited that my oldest girl, Carrie, is coming to spend the night tonight. She's really not coming to see me. She's coming in for the birthday party of one of her oldest friends. She and Robert have been friends since they were in 4-year old pre-school together. He's such a nice guy, but there's never been any romantic spark between them. Just good pals. They are both turning 30 this year. Hard for this old mama to wrap her head around that fact!
Got to get busy today and get all the "junk" out of two more rooms before the carpet cleaning folks come next Tuesday. So I've got plenty to keep me occupied and out of trouble! Now if I can just keep me out of the kitchen! LOL!

Vic...After working all day every day I am so out of energy when the weekend comes around to do much of anything!! Wish I had some of your get up and go!!!! LOL I keep reminding Rick I am not 44 like he tells people I am 59 and can't keep up like he thinks I can!!! Some days he just doesn't get it ya know? But I love him anyhow...:-)
And I know what you mean about cold floors on bare feet!!! BRRRRRRR Good thing I have my slippers!!!
