TGIF- What's Happening?
Hi Vicky and Trish,
It is really sad, and there is a Part II. Last night I was telling both stories to my son, and my graddaughter, who attends an arts charter high school, chimed in and told us that at her school the teachers use those words 'all the time,' especially the drama teachers. Their reasoning seems to be that these are words that kids hear everywhere and it would be hypocritical for them to edit their own speech!
I have a feeling I've stepped into the looking glass.

I taught 8th grade at an inner city school, and had a student who insisted on calling me b---h all the time. At conference time, when he and his mother sat at my desk, I told the mother about it. She turned her son, and said, "If you call Ms. Reilly a b---h again, I will f--k you up." Duh! I wonder where he learned to talk like that first?
