 Good Morning OFF Family,
I am getting ready to head out to the cardiologist's for a follow-up post-op visit.  He was my attending physician while I was in the hospital.

After I get home, I have some tidying to do.

Have a blessed day.

Hugs,

My husband and I decided to play hookey today. I got up at 4:30a and cleaned my house. I love a clean house.

This afternnon we are going downtown to the Knickerbocker hotel for the weekend to celebrate my hubby's birthday. We are going to the Civic Opera House tonight to see ShowBoat.

I need to have some fun. The pre-op tests over the last 2 weeks have knocked me on my arse. I had my stress test yesterday and almost passed out. It was NOTHING like when I walk on my treadmill. Now I know why everyone kept asking me if I thougt I might not be able to do this for the past week!.

Have a lovely weekend.

It is sunny and going to be 50 in Chicago today. Thanks Jesus!

Best,

Sharon

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

Up and pooping again, getting ready for colonoscopy redeux. If I'm not cleaned out by now, I don't know what else to do. I want to eat something besides jello and popsicles.

Where is everyone today? It's almost 10 and hardly anyone is up.

Well, I'll see you all later.

Back from colonoscopy; all went well. Dr. removed a polyp but otherwise it was all fine. Considering my brothers routinely have five or six polyps removed, I think one is pretty good.

The only problem was waiting for my boss to pick me up; he had to take his girlfriend to the doctor too, then his car to get the brakes fixed. He didn't get there til after 3 p.m. He's got a little two-seat sports car, so his girlfriend had to sit in the trunk. She's very nice; she had gastric bypass 10 years ago and all was O****il two years ago when her small intestines kinked and she had to have multiple surgeries and died on the table and had to be revived. Nice lady.

Afternoon OFF family!

WOW what a night here last night! One of the tenants that is almost 93 drove her car into the soggy grass and buried her tank of a car!! She thought she was turning into the lot here but she missed it by quite a ways...she is ok but police told me they ha stopped her 4 times that night!!! One time she was at a red light and then went through it right in front of a semi truck!! I called her grandson that takes care of her and he came right away. Hope he takes her car and keeps her off the street!!! OMG!!! Then another tenant comes outside and starts "F" words left and right at rick over how long the cops took to et to her and all that is out there going on and then he turns onRick calling him filty names and then brings me into it with filthy names!!! OMG!!!!! And he is one thatI have to see to do his recertification on!!!!! OMG!!!!!!! I called the office this morning to let them know what happened.

Busy answering calls for apartments today and doing another recert. Need to go to police staion and get this report on last night. Then I think I am calling it a day!!!

Thoughts and prayers for all that need them!!!

HUGS

Good morning Trish and everyone....

Trish...hope you appointment goes well!!

Sharon....I hate stress tests. I always request the one that they inject. My COPD and asthma doesn't allow me to do the other kind....I am glad!! Have a great weekend. It sounds like so much fun!!

Mag......so sorry you are down...hope you feel better soon. Get out and do something just for yourself!!

Eileen....I feel sorry for you....you for sure should be ready for the test now!!! Good luck and enjoy your first meal after!

Judy....you have so much excitement all the time! That women definitely should no longer be driving. Hope they take the car and license away! As for the idiot cussing at you and Rick....he sounds like a real jerk. What the heck could you do about getting the police there faster...DUH! I would have Rick with you at that re-cert or someone from the main office. He would scare me to death!!

As for me....I went tanning this morning. I am so glad to be back and enjoying that!! The heat helps my joints and muscles so much! I will be helping my sister with laundry soon. That is all I have planned for the day. Tonight I am going out again....love to dance!!!!!

Wishing you and all to follow a great day!!

Prayers for all in need!!

Love and hugs to all......connie d

Good afternoon everyone!

I'll tell you about my morning and you will agree that my day can't go anywhere but up from here.

This morning I was giving my students the historical background on Shakespear.
When I told the kids that Queen Elizabeth I never married and was called the Virgin Queen, a GIRL raised her hand.  Guess what her question was?.... "So Queen Elizabeth never got to f***k?"

Then I went back to my office, and a mother whose son was being expelled walked by yelling at the top of her lungs; every other word out of her mouth was either f***k or s***t.  I stepped outside and reminded her she was at a high school, not a brothel.  She answered that she didn't give a s***t. Oh, well.

What is happening to this society?  Are reality shows on TV setting the standard for public discourse?

I usually work late, but this afternoon I'm going home early.  A three-day weekend never looked so good.

Oh my, Nunini!  What a morning you've had!  I know exactly what you mean about the profanity, only I experienced it on the college level with my students there.  (I assume you're at a high school, since the student was being expelled.)  But it's everywhere--the clerks in the stores aren't much better.  Just the other day, I overheard two clerks in Wal Mart discussing her date from the night before.  Right there in the middle of the canned goods, one of them proclaimed quite loudly, "All he ever wants to do is f**k!"  I just turned around and stared at her, but she obviously didn't see anything wrong with her pronouncement.

It's really sad, isn't it?
