Morning Off.
Too early!  I hate insomnia!  Literally not sleeping more than a few hrs a week!   Ugh!!
I am so angry tonight  so that don't help the sleep thing.
We had a couple of big dogs from where we don't know    come into our back yard and attack one of my cats,  playing tug of war with poor Tippy!     Tippy is  an alpha male cat  who likes out doors and he sprays around the house if we don't let him outside,   trying to be responsible pet owners  we do keep him on  long lead in our yard so  he doesn't go off fighting other cats in their own yard.   He was on his lead when those blasted dogs attacked him.     Steve ran out and almost had to hit the dogs to get them to let loose of my cat.  We don't think him badly hurt  no blood at all and all he does is favor one leg the dog was pulling on just a bit  but he is so ornery and touchy  we don't know for sure.   He is sleeping and comfortable it seems.  We are taking him to the vet in the am   No one could touch him now  he gets so agitated at being touched by me and hes definitely  my cat.  Cops came  but told us to keep the cat inside so it didn't happen again!   He didn't seem concerned with viscous dogs roaming the neighborhood!     Cops  and animal control are useless in our county!    Cop did tell me I would be in trouble if I started shooting at the dogs if they come back!    Dogs can attack in my back yard and I cant defend my pets?   they might be surprised!
Sorry bout the long book   I am still so mad hrs later!
Prayers for all friends who need them!   have a good Monday!

Good mornin' ya'll.
In some counties/states you can't even get a cop to come to your house unless there is a violent crime. I doubt dog attacks would qualify.
My granddaughter is in a god awful mood this morning!! Can we say PMS. She is just like her Mom used to be at that time. Hopefully I can get her in the car and off to school on time.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

 Good Morning Jo,
I am so sorry to hear about your poor kitty.  That is horrible.  I hope he is okay.

I just got home from the surgeon, and she seemed pleased with my progress.  She did tell me I need to wear my compression stockings over the bandages.  I also have to talk to the nurse who comes every other day, and find out if she wants to come sooner than Wednesday, since the doctor did not use the medicine the nurses do.

I am heading to my family doctor in a few.  I hurt my back in the fall that injured my leg, but it had not started bothering me till I went off the pain meds.  Tylenol does not cut the pain, and I finally broke down and bought some Advil.  I will get some Prilosec OTC to compensate for that.

Hope everyone has a blessed day.

Hugs,
Trish

Good Morning Jo and Friends!

I sure understand your insomnia. Over the past month I have started an anti anxiety med in the mornings and a generic sleeping pill in the evening. Even with those I sleep from about 10 to 3, get up go to the bathroom and then if I'm lucky get about another hour. I just read a study that strongly suggested tha****ching tv, playing the computer, any electronic "stuff" was NOT conducive to a decent night's sleep. It mentioned some kind of "blue filter" to wear if you just had to do those things. When I wake up the first thing I do is light up the computer screen. I am going to look into one of those.

Back to the lush garden isle of Kauai. We are having a wonderful time. At first it seems like there is little to DO but after spending a few days we are finding more and more. Repeat trip will definitely be in our future but it will be quite a few years. We have eaten out about once a day, but have made mostly healthy choices and packed picnic lunches on the two days we did road trips. There are basically two roads on Kauai. One goes north to the end of the road and the ocean. The other goes south and to the end of Waimea Canyon over 4000 feet in elevation. We enjoyed both rides but our beautiful view and beach right here on the eastern shore is our favorite.

At 2pm today we board Captain Andy's Southern Star catamaran for a 4 hour sail along the Napali Coast. Dramamine will be taken early so that hopefully I'll be able to enjoy the dinner served about 3 hours into the cruise. Can't believe it but tomorrow is our last day.

Sending friendship and positive thoughts to each and every one of you.

Well found out who had the party in club house and broke the garbag disposal. Need to talk to her about it today when she gets home. Still working on the recerts and getting a "few" replys back that I need. Slow process for sure. Still no word from a couple of them so will have to call them and "remind" them they need to see me ASAP so we can get theirs done or their rent will go up!!!

Sun is out and it is 30*. BUT more snow tonight and tomorrow could see a few inches this time. Just what we need...more snow then on thursday rain...sure not looking forward to this at all. YUCK!

Lunch is over so back to work. Thoughts and Prayers for all that need them!!!

Jo, You sure shouldn't have to but would a "kiddie/pet corral" be tall enough to keep the dogs out and yet still give your cat some outside freedom? Just a thought.

don't even know what a kiddy corral is  but will check into it for sure!     Hubby wondered if they make a giant hamster ball!   you know those that the little rodents can roll around the house and be safe from the rodent patrol~
We are taking tipper to the vet in an hr.    hes  not eating   and I am not sure about using the litter box   he is moving around  some  and could get into his favorite sleeping chair and out again.

Jo, Try Craigs List. I bought one when my daughter's twins were crawling. It is a series of plastic panels that snap together.  You can make a circle or just partition off a room. They turned their dining room into a "play area" and it worked out great. You could probably figure out a way to put a mesh or perhaps chicken wire top on it if the dogs will jump in. There is also one that is kind of like a collapsible cup rack only much bigger. It expands into a circle. Farm type stores or pet stores also have them. Google it and see what you can find. Poor Tipper. Aggressive dogs have no honor to gang up on him like that.

Good morning Jo and my OFF sistas!

Jo, honey, do you have a shotgun?  Get yourself some rat shot for those dogs.  You can shoot them with it and it won't kill them, but it sure will sting like hell!  They won't come back, I promise.  Trust me, I live in the country and have to deal with a lot of varmints.

Got my sweet hubby "air mailed" off to Saudi again yesterday.  LOL!

I'm baking another batch of my GF hamburger buns right now.  Love that warm yeasty smell eminating from my kitchen!  I will let these cool, split them in half and freeze them individually.  About half a bun is a just right serving for me.

Karen, loved the FB pics of Hawaii.  Oh, it's definitely on my bucket list!

Hey, has anyone here ever been to Dollywood in Tennessee?  Butch and I are trying to plan a trip for our 31st anniversary in May.  I've never been to the eastern half of Tennessee.  Would love to rent a cabin in the Smoky Mountains.  Any travel tips or suggestions?

My timer's about to ding, so I'll sign off now.  Love you all!
