WOW I get to start the daily thread today...been a long time since I did this...haha

Went out for dinner last night for an early Valentine's date. Figured it wouldn't be so busy...hahaha was I ever wrong!! Texas Roadhouse just opened up here and OMG was it ever packed!!! We even had call ahead seating!! Still had about 1/2 hour wait!! But it WAS worth the wait!!! We had the fall off the bones ribs...YUMMMMMMMMMM  Ofcourse I brought 1/2 home with me...Rick did too.

Had to pull out my HBIC attitude yesterday with our maintenance guy. He never showed up to clean the snow. Rick called him and AFTER all the snow was cleaned up he calls...nice huh? Excuse? His girlfriend turned the alarm off...again. Same song an dance for an excuse. So I wrote him up and gave him monday off without pay! Boy was he mad!!! I let him stew all day over it and gave him something to think about!!! After we cooled down last night, I had Rick call him and tell him he could come back to work monday and the next snow he had better be here or he WILL get a day off without pay!!! Rick told him to get another alarm clock and set it AWAY from his girlfriend!!

And another happy moment here last night...when we got back from dinner it was time to lock up the club huses and laundry rooms. Guess what? Someone had a party in the club house!! They can do that ONLY if they put a RSVP along with $25.00 deposit on it. If they clean it up good they get their deposit back. Guess what? It is dirty! We have no clue who had the party there!!! Time will tell and word will get out and then these people will pay the $25.00 because it will be added on their rent!!! So we get to clean the club house today. Nice day off huh? NOT!!!!

Just saw on the news that Whitney Houston died. She was a great singer and THE best that ever sang the Star Spangled Banner!! Wonder why she died? May she RIP.

Well best get breakfast going so we can go clean...Thoughts and Prayers for all that need them!!!

Good morning from COLD eastern NC.  I was up late last night reading.  When I get close to the end of a book, I can't put it down until I finish.  I slept in until about 8:30 :).  Just finished eating my scrambled egg beater.  I am going out this afternoon, have to get some documents converted to pdfs for a report.  I need to stop by the grocery store and pick up a couple of things and then it's back home to finish that report.

Tomorrow is podiatrist and dentist day!

I overslept today.  I am usually up by six on the weekends but yesterday, I ate a  little bit of a pork chop and for the most part of the night, I was in and out of the Jane…very sick.  So, I had to sleep in to balance the sleep needs.  So, here I am thinking, never again will I eat pork.  This is like the third time I have said to myself, this piece has no fat…fat or not, I get so sick.

Today, I am taking the kids home.  It has been way too cold to go outside, so we have spent the weekend watching movies, playing games, and cooking things.  I am exhausted.  I got a call for a informttion storage company and the owner asked me if I would consider consulting with them to teach their employees how to write…I said, well, I think I could do a few classes…he said, we'll pay you 100 an hour.  I said, oh.  My husband was sitting in his chair and looked at me and said my eyes almost popped out of my head.  I said, Okay.  I can do some Thursday evening classes.  Then they asked me to rewrite their manual and set up a knowledge base.  I said, well, that's a large job, and I would have to reconsider the hourly rate.  He said, I am willing to negotiate those jobs…I told husband, we are going to China.  That's what we are saving for.  

Well, I need to get off here and get my first class for the man organized.  I'm thinking: Electronic Communication--netique and form.  He said, the emails are horrible.

Good morning Judy and my OFF sistas,

Brrrr!  Very chilly here, today, too, only no snow.  Lots of sunshine that fools you into thinking it's warmer than it really is out there.

Today is hubby travel day.  Got to take him to the airport this afternoon.  Sigh.  Here we go again.

Yesterday my poor sweet husband tripped in the garage and fell head first onto the concrete!  Busted his head open right above his left eyebrow.  Stubborn man refused to go get a stitch put in it!  I taped it together a couple of times last night.  I would get it to stop bleeding and get it all nicely taped and bandaged, and THEN he would do something like heavy lifting or straining, and it would start dripping blood again.  Crazy old fool.  Where do men get this stubborn macho gene from anyway?

So, I made those gluten free hamburger buns and they turned out great!  More like an English muffin in texture, although not in taste.  These are warm and yeasty tasting.  Very Good!  I'm posting the recipe for you all this morning.  I lost two pounds this week and I swear I feel better having eliminated wheat from my diet.  Maybe it's just the power of suggestion, but my head feels clearer.

Much to do this morning to get hubby ready to roll.  Check back in with you all this evening or tomorrow.

Good morning Judy and OFF-

As Vicki said it's cold and windy here in Texas!  My RV is rocking and the satellite won't stay tuned.  Plan to stay in and stay warm today.  I slept with my wool socks on and a scarf wrapped around my neck.  Wonderful sleep!

Have to do some cleaning in the RV today.  Then I'm going to read, do my crossword puzzle and listen to Prairie Home Companion on the radio.  Have a baby quilt that is pieced, need to sandwich it for the final quilting but we'll see if the wind dies down.

Judy-  Are you supposed to leave the clubhouses open all the time.  Maybe they need to be locked up so they don't have parties.  You could fake the residents out by installing some fake video cameras from Harbor Freight.  The Refuge here has video cameras all over the place.  These are real but it does give me peace of mind when I'm working alone.

English Teacher - Can't remember your handle.  Teach them proper abbreviation too.  Last night I was texting with a young person and she didn't know what MFG meant!  I'm building an index of abbreviations for the file system that I am doing for the Refuge.

I had hoped to get out to church this morning, but the walkways are icy from a snow fall last night.  Snow is not deep, but I do not want to fall again.

So, today, I will be chilling out here, doing some tidying, and making homemade baked macaroni and cheese.  I need the protein and calcium.

No football and no baseball, so I will be watching reruns.

Good mornin', ya'll.

I am sitting here relaxing with my green tea and Fox and Friends. Our daughter has gone to check out the opening of a competitor's store. They have breakfast at this one. Of course she is really great friends with the owner. We went to their pre opening party yesterday. All new stores do that before opening. Family and friends can go have free food. Gives the new emlpoyees a chance to really work a crowd.

Our granddaughter went to a Sadie Hawkins dance last night. She asked an ex boyfriend. They are still friends. Our daughter asked her if she had bought tickets for both of them. She said he could buy his own since they weren't a couple anymore!

I am FINALLY losing some of this regain. I have lost 6 pounds since I have been here. This is just what I needed. A good start to get me determined to continue. My daughter introduced me to Walden Farms products that have 0 calories! Ketchup, bbq sauce, jam, dressings, etc. WOW. We never get that stuff in NC! I'm taking some home with me!

OK, gotta go. Need to make six more pans of magic cookie bars, and 12 more loaves of banana bread. Then we are going to the Coach store, and then go try to find a new vanity for our granddaughter. I went to an IKEA store yesterday. Never again!

Hello all. Sober 477 days and so proud of me. Very laid back couple of days. It is cold here in southwest Florida, but we got needed rain and that was so good. Glad I have some fleece outfits and socks so I am warm even outside. Glad I have gloves too for Yoda walks.
Prayers and happiness to you all. I am happy and doing well.
