Whitney Houston Passed Away today........

So very sad for her mom and daughter. This troubled lady, one of the greatest artists of all time. R.I.P Whitney.  Sharon

Just saw this on the news...so sad. She was one of THE BEST that sang the Star Spangled Banner!!!!!

RIP Whitney...

She was a great singer but I am not sure I would call her an artist.  I think of artist being those men and women who write the words, the music, and play music, and sing.  Dolly is an artist---the BeeGees are artist.  She did have a fantastic voice and even after she had smoked crack for years and years, she was still able to sing.  I think toward the end she lost her ability to get the high notes.  It always makes me wonder what drives a person to have such an addiction that they are slowly killing themselves and then I remember my own addiction and how close I came to death.   But, recognizing an addiction and taking actions to try and control the addiction are, I think, the differences in those of us who heal and those who die from their addiction.  But, Hello, my name is Jeannie and I am a food addict.  RIP Whitney

In the recent past, Whitney had become so entangled in her addiction that she had become a parody of herself.  Her daughter must have been put through hell.

Rest in Peace Whitney.  Maybe your daughter can now move on with her life.
