Post-Super Bowl: It's Monday
Hi My OFF Family:
I just realized I never posted yesterday ... I was busy in the morning; pissed that I couldn't find the beaters for my mixer so I couldn't make a cake to bring into work for our Super Bowl party. I had everything else: cake mix, frosting, eggs, oil, the mixer ... no beaters. I know I saw them, but couldn't find them yesterday morning. Oh well, they'll show up.
My brother finally got four weeks of unemployment paid on Friday. For some reason, they held it up. He was really broke. He had a lot of savings before it ran out. Still no job, other than the part-time job that he sometimes works at. It's been more than two years since he's had a full-time job, and he has no health insurance now.
I am watching the Super Bowl now ... will watch the rest later. I need to go to bed soon. I did the Super Bowl sports page for all of the Scripps chain ... got a "good job" from my boss and one of my coworkers. Then this other coworker after the paper was done was being kind of a jerk to me ... don't know why. If he wants to correct me, do it and get it over with, don't be nasty. I don't know what his problem is.
Anyway, I need to go to bed. Was everyone happy with the Super Bowl? It's not quite halftime here on my recording ... I watched a lot of it on my boss' iPad last night but they didn't show commercials or the halftime show. So I will watch those later.
Have a good day ... post away!
Manic Monday is here. I just finished doing payroll and now have to get ready to go ino the office for a finance meeting.
I have never been a Madonna fan, but I must say she gave a good show last night. I was glad to hear a couple of her oldies. She and I are both 54. She looks amazing! The crowd here yesterday was not impressed with her and I heard a few catty remarks, but I thought she did good.
I have my pre-surgery cardiac consult today. He will probably want a stress test.........hmph.
Everyone have a great day!!!!!!

Hi Eileen and Friends,
As usual up too early, but it's a traveling day and I'm always pumped to hit the road. We drop Maggie off at the kennel at 9am and head to Seattle to our son's for the night. Tomorrow to our daughter's and then early Wednesday heading to the airport and on to Kauai! Booked a Napali Coast Boat Dinner cruise through Captain Andy's Charters. This will be our big splurge. A bit spendy but all reviews say it is well worth it. Also lots of warnngs about sea sickness. A 65 ft catamaran, in and out around scenic areas hugging the rugged coastline. I will take my pills a couple of hours before we go. I can turn green very fast and at that point absolutely nothing would be fun. When we turn back downwind it will be smooth free sailing and a steak/shrimp dinner is served. If I can't eat it I'm sure Erin and Mike will help me!
Mike and I went to an early movie and then came home. He watched the game. I made chicken and noodles to take to the kids. We saw George Clooney in "The Descendents". Pretty intense, but I liked it. Not enough action for Mike but it was partially filmed on Kauai which was neat to see. The airport scene looks much like the one on Maui. Quite "open air", lots of beautiful plants.
I'll have the laptop and will be checking in with you all. Be kind but firm with yourself. Remember this is a lifetime journey. I am so excited to be getting my exercise hiking, beachcoming and taking long walks on the beach this next week!

I had a nice evening yesterday, even though the Patriots lost. My sister came over, and we watched the game and the Puppy Bowl during half time. Then, after my sister left, a friend from church came by. She sells Thirty-One Bags and Accessories. I am having a demonstration party on the 25th, and she was here giving me an order I had placed, and planning the party. Plus, we got to know one another better.
Today, I am waiting for my nurse, who should be here in an hour or so. Then, I am taking a friend who doesn't drive to a pharmacy to pick up a prescription. After that, I have to stop at WalMart for a few things and then home to elevate the leg. I should only be gone about 45 minutes, or so. I try to make my outings short.
I hope everyone has a nice day.
Hugs,
Trish

We have a tenet in the house and she went in without asking my daughter. My daughter is the exutor of the estate. The estate is in probate and nothing is to be removed from the house. Now my daughter heas to confront her to get the things back. Not fun. My sister has done this to other family member before if she sees something that she wants. not good
