I always take my DH's handicapped placard but I only use it if the only parking is WAAAAAY in the back. Since my new hip, walking is so much easier. I don't even like to use it here when my DH is with me, I'd rather drop him at front and go park. In this town there are so many handicapped vets, they deserve the parking spots more than either of us. But, I will probably take the cane to Vegas with me. My DH always orders a wheelchair at airports, but I'm not goin' that route anytime soon!

Good Morning Sharon and those to follow,
I woke up not feeling well this morning, so I cancelled my hematologist appointment, and am just relaxing here with my leg elevated.  My digestive system is out of whac and my pouch is not feeling well.  Plus, my leg hurts this morning.

At lunchtime, a friend from Bible study is coming by to visit me.  I am looking forward to the company.  I do have to go to Rite Aid to pick up some prescriptions, but that is right around the corner.

I do have to do some laundry today as well.  I also have to mop my floors, because they are filthy.

Have a good day.

Hugs,
Trish

Well,,,Friday is just another day for me. I am a Realtor and I work 7 days a week. Although I am not complaing as I like the flexibility of my schedule.I DO NOT like the flexibility of my income however. So unless I get out there every day I won't have an income.

Today I need to take some flowers up to a client of mind who just had her hip reploaced and is in a rehab facility. She is very sweet, Mother of nine children and is going to be buying her 3rd condo next month....and she is 83 years old quite an inspiration.

I am going to get my nails done first....wow do they ever need it way too grown out, I am alway****ting extra keys on the keyboard.

We are going to the movie tonight "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and grab a bite to eat afterwards. We are meeting some friends. Friday night is usualy still "date night" even after almost 50 years of marriage.

I need to set up appointments for showings for tomorrow and Sunday afternoon. I just love these clients so it is lots of fun.doing the showings, but the work is setting up the right houses and mapping the route.

Did not do so good with my wine drinking yesterday....but today is another day. Guess I should go fix breakfast as Mike will be home soon from working out.....but not me....yet.
Take care, M

In NC, in order for students to graduate high school, they have to do a senior project, and get a passing grade on it. It consists of getting a mentor and being their intern to learn their trade. They have a HUGE amount of paperwork and reports and go through a Q and A with the teachers, etc. lots of work. It has to be done during their summer before their senior year. This year our grandson decided to be an intern for a realtor friend. He decided the real estate business takes a lot of work and you may not even make anything for quite awhile! That is NOT a career he will choose. But he did learn a lot of respect for you guys that do it!

Hey GL thanks for that boost........I have always said, "no one gets out of the real estate business because they don't like it, they get out because they can't make it" It is a tough business and we do have lots of expenses, not to mention the $653 I just paid for my yearly membership dues in ordr to call my self a REALTOR [it is a trademarked name and should be witten in all caps] .

But that said, I do love ths business. You get to help people make their dreams come true. It is kind of a rush. I'm selling something they all desire, but to better their  lives. I see my clients as having a real estate problem and my job is to educate them and help them make it come true. I have no control, nor desire to have control over their choices. It is very personal.

Anyway ..thanks again. I have been doing this for 32 years, I don't think I will ever retire.

ps I was a psychiatric nurse for 13 years before that....great training for real estate.

Has anyone heard of the HCG diet? It is some kind of drops you take and only eat 500 calories a day. No fat, sugar, carbs, dairy. Basically 500 calories of meats and veggies and a little fruit. Some programs revised it to 800 calories a day. Our daughter has been on it for 2 weeks and has lost a pound a day. Dr. Oz had some pros and cons about it on a couple of his shows. It has been around since the '50s. I'm thinking at 500 or 800 calories a day, you're gonna lose a pound a day anyway. Does anyone know anything about side effects, etc? I really want to lose a bunch before the CMAs in March!
This sleeve is the worst decision I ever made. It gives me NO help in losing weight, and we all know how far will power takes us!

I have done the medically supervised HCG that was initially drops and then I went to the shots since they were once per day. I lost 50 lbs in 40 days. It is a very restricitve diet, which always works for me. If you cannot tolerate restrictions then this is not going to work. Each cycle has 4 phases. Phase 1 lasts 2 days. You should gorge on everythign you love in that phase while you take the HCG. Phase 2 lasts for either 21 or 40 days (which you chose the length) and you eat restritively. In phase 3 you stop the HCG and slowly reintroduce items back into the diet which have no sugar or simple carbs and continuing to weigh yourself. Phase 3 lasts 40 days. Also in phase 3, if you eat something and you see a big spike in weight gain, you then take that out of your diet competely. You will lose a lot of inches if you stick to the diet exactly. Phase 4 is when you are supposedly "fixed" and can eat anything without gaining. (this phase is usually skipped and people then start Phase 1 again if they have more weight to lose.

The HCG is supposed to dissolve the fat in our bodies, especially the belly fat. It worked for me. But the problem is you will get very bored doing this for long periods of time. And every cycle you have to wait longer and longer to start phase 1 again because your body will get used to the HCG and stop working like it did in the initial cycles.

On phase 2, the only proteins allowed are beef and chicken. Very few veggies are allowed and you cannot mix veggies or have the same protein 2 times in one day. The protein is like 4 oz. If you do not follow the diet exactly you will stall for atleast a week. I once ate turkey and stopped losing for 16 days. It was hard to deal with. In phase 3 you will lose tons of inches.

The HCG prevents hunger.

There is an HCG forum that is great.

Good Luck!
